Hitachi Construction Equipment launch new medium sized Zaxis 95-7 US and USB excavator models.

Peter Haddock recently caught up with product expert Norihiko Kinugawa, who highlighted some of the key features and benefits of the machine which will replace the popular Zaxis 85 model. They include:
- More power from its 50.4kW Stage V engine than the 85 it replaces. Class leading stability and a 4% greater digging force.
- It has a compact, short turning radius and is heavier than the 85. This makes it ideal for use with larger attachments and tiltrotators in confined spaces.
- A floating blade, mono or 2-piece boom and aux flow adjustment for attachments are all options available, with quick coupler piping coming as standard on UK machines.
-The big cab (see the video) has really good visibility, air conditioning and an air suspension seat.
- New controls and a touch screen linked to an Aerial angle camera system give the operator greater control and a 270 birds eye view.
- A new lighting system sees LED lights repositioned on the boom and cab to increase visibility.
- And those daily checks are now all in one panel.
Nori: “There are some big differences with the 95-7 compared to the previous model, and we have already had great feedback from operators testing the machine.
“Personally, I want more people to feel the difference and try it for themselves as I think our increased stability and the enhanced digging forces, in particular, will surprise operators.”
