Spent four nights at Fountainebleau back in March. While there I went to a few different restaurants, did a full spa treatment, hung out at the pools and spent time on the casino floor. I could find absolutely nothing wrong with this place. It was simply magnificent, so I've added it to my hotel rotation list, as I'm in Vegas three to four times a year.
As a Vegas regular, I can say a few things. 1. The Casino is not intimate at all. It's too big and everything is too spread out. 2. The ceilings are way too tall. As someone else said, it seems like you are at the airport. 3. The property is too large. Want to go to the spa or one of the restaurants? Plan for a 15 minute walk at minimum. 4. They layout makes no sense and is atrocious. It's like a maze with the different levels, etc. 4. It just doesn't 'feel' like a Vegas Casino/Hotel. 5. Drink service? Ha! 6. The most important? It's the location. I went one day as they had a tier match with Wynn. I got a hundred bucks of free food and then dropped about $200 on tight slots. A few weeks later, they sent me a comp for three nights, no fees/taxes and a couple hundred slot credit. They are desperate. I don't want to see anyone go out of business but I think they go under pretty quickly.
Well said. We do like to stay there because we live in Texas and like to go out and film in Vegas for our channel and it helps to get comps to reduce production costs but yeah the vibes are a bit off.
I stayed there earlier this year....my room was not properly cleaned, I wanted to upgrade my room (on a random weekday) all they needed to do was charge me an additional $750/night. But they ended up telling me I would have to reserve that room type at least 2 weeks in advance, which ended up not being accurate. Needless to say the GM refunded my stay and I told them I would never stay here again. Like my $750/ a night was not good enough. A room that cost $1400/a night. Lost my business.
You dont know how hotels work do you? They dont clean every single room on Sunday morning when the hotel clears out, they just clean what they need for that night and dont spend a ton of time on the rest. The budget the labor hours across the week. It's very hard to find people willing to work on Sunday when they are either tired from partying the night before or are in church.
A huge hotel like that seems like it should operate like a super Walmart offering everyday low pricing on everything. If I'm paying premium prices, would much rather have more intimate and unique surroundings, a more personal feeling. It feels like a huge dying shopping mall.
True I like think it’s just because the north end just not what it was icons like the Stardust, Sands and Riviera dominated the north end. They’re trying hard to gentrify that area
Speaking as someone who will be going to Vegas for the first time next year, three things put me off booking this hotel. 1. Location. 2. Prices - the food prices seem so high. 3. Theming - the tall ceilings and white decor remind me of a spa / shopping mall. While it looks very good its the opposite of what I'm looking for from Vegas - Im after a good location, reasonable pricing and exciting times!
@@RandomRecess so in the end we booked Planet Hollywood. Not going until April so the plans may change. But the new miracle eats food court, location and generally good vibes attracted us to it.
The Fontainebleau in Miami is one of my favorite hotels, the one in Vegas location is a little off...I stayed at the Fontainebleau and I love that people are not there that much..makes it more enjoyable especially at the pool area.
3 reasons I won't bother to even bother to visit much less stay there - 1) Overpriced everything, 2) lousy location, 3) looks like a shopping mall inside. No thanks.f Also - would be super helpful if you guys would show what you're paying when you order food. That chicken sandwich looked pretty good - but if it's say $24, then it's a terrible value. If it's $11, that would be ok. Need to know cost for context. But great review, thank you!
Currently staying at Fontainebleau Hotel. It is awesome. I have been coming to Vegas for 30 years and this is the best hotel I have stayed at. It is new and lavish. Shower actually has significant water, rare for hotels. I can actually stretch out in the bathtub. Push button room controls work well. Staff seems great. Highly recommended. Will become my new go to spot in Vegas.
Interesting. It did seem a little cold. We chalked that up to it being new. But yeah other resorts on and off the strip do feel a lot more welcoming. We still enjoyed our stay but can def see this point!
@@korymillett7086 we aren’t tearing it down, we actually love this resort. We are just wondering why it’s not as popular right now, that’s all. We stay here often and really like it
@@RandomRecess You’re just focusing on the casino which at night draws a big crowd. The nightclub, dayclub, restaurants and theater are always jumping.
@ objectively this resort is much slower than other places like the Wynn. It doesn’t mean it’s a bad resort by any means we are just saying it seems less popular. We aren’t criticizing it lol we love it
Fountainbleau is really nice. I visited there six months ago. I think they’re just having new kid on the block pains. It took awhile for Resorts World to find their niche but they slowly built up their crowds. This casino will as well. They should lower their prices, (a brand new resort surrounded on all sides with stiff competition should not be charging those room rates this early in the game) and maybe allow outsiders access to the pool for a small fee to draw people in the doors to give them a test drive.
If I go to Vegas, I go for fun theming. These seems fancy more than fun. If this were put in NYC, it would be near the top of my list (obviously without the huge pool and casino). Nice review. Enjoyed watching. I have to ask, were you comped because of your gambling status or because you have a RUclips Vlog Channel?
I loved. Most tourists going to Vegas won't look for new hotels. This was a sleeping gem in 2024 but the prices and bookings for the hotel have increased big time for 2025.
Stayed there in the early spring. Yes, its BIG, yes its "over the top", yes, its at the far end of the strip... BUT! The facility is gorgeous, AND It's rapidly developing out that way...Give it time 👍👍
It's because of the location and the outrageous prices. It made sense when I stopped by for a couple hours and paid $45 for a coffee, pastry, and a small dessert. The prices at the restaurants were higher than in NYC. The food hall prices needed to be more reasonable. The location is far from other strip hotels to go to different places. The patrons who visit Circus Circus across the street aren't what FB wants in their hotel. I could see staff patrolling the front door, who seemed to bounce out anyone who didn't look like they could afford to be there. The Wynn empty west lot is not helping things, as it feels empty around the area. FB announced an extensive additional buildout, but it will take years to build. FB will remain empty until they figure out a way to connect Wynn and Resort Worlds so people can stay on that side of the strip. The bridges in the center of the strip keep me in that area.
Great video! Here’s my thoughts on the reasons. The hotel is oversized with too much weird, unused space; both floors at the time had any open stores to visit (most to open next year); majority of the restaurants open after 5p; and the location. Who wants to venture out to the closest hotel, Circus Circus when spending those prices at Fontainebleau? Again, I visited twice shortly after it opened. It felt eerie And it needs a vibe that keeps the energy flowing during the day
loved this video!! for us, it's the location, we ALMOST booked it when we went to Vegas but it felt so far away. After watching this we wanna try it out though, it looks so nice
I can confirm the excellence of those deviled eggs. I have only ever dropped into Fontainebleau once, but I thought it was stunning. They also gave me like a $100 dining credit for signing up for the player program. I would love to actually stay there. I have the same reaction to cold pool water. Strangely, the coldest pool water I ever encountered anywhere was at Caesars in June 2020-yes, June. It was "so hot your phone shuts off" weather, but the water was unbearable.
I know why it's empty. I spent four nights there in October. My only chance to go to the pool, it was closed. Something about a private party. I would have thought with the number of pools and their size that maybe hotel guest could have had access to one off in a corner somewhere. Food and drinks are stupid high, even in the food court. No coffee maker in room, my girlfriend packed off each morning for the coffee bar/cafe downstairs just to get a start for her day. Slots are tight and table games are stacked toward the house. If you are muli-millionaires with money to burn, this is your place to stay. We found ourselves getting up each morning, getting dressed and exiting the property as soon as possible. Only to return just in time for a shower and bed. Will think the second or third time before staying there again.
I just stayed here for a conference and the hotel is beautiful, but lacking at the same time. It was more like an upscale shopping mall vs a resort. Not busy and very expensive, especially the food and drinks. The pool was closed and there was little entertainment except a piano bar and music piped in throughout the hotel. The biggest downfall of this resort is it is very far from the action, even the Wynn and Resorts World are a long walk away and the neighborhood is very sketchy and we were warned by hotel security and staff to mind where we walk outside and not veer off Las Vegas boulevard, especially not to cross the street. Taxi ride to airport took over 30 minutes and cost almost $40. Next time I will stay at the Bellagio, a much better overall experience for less money and way more enjoyable.
Just spent a day at this place. Been a multiple times a year Vegas junkie. One is location but second is the utter sterile feeling I get walking through it. It’s so big it feels like I’m an airport or something. Sad state of affairs place was dead like more staff than people. Ate with two friends good food but oddly the only people there. Place is stuck in covid era.
It DOES feel emptier thanks to the size. It’s crazy. And good comparison to Covid era cause it really does feel like 2020 in there with how few folks go
We just got back from a couple of nights in the gold rooms which are on higher floors but they dont come with tubs just a giant shower. We actually like the blue rooms more and we are not sure how the upgrades happened. We received an email from Fontainebleau offering us the ability to select and pay for an upgrade based on availability. We chose this room and when we arrived it was available and we got charged for the upgraded room. We think it's because the hotel wasn't at full capacity and so we got lucky when we arrived.
I absolutely LOVE the Fontainbleu! (but I’m very different from the average visitor……I love the upscale, luxury vibe). Many visitors want cheap, simple, and NOT fancy. Most people want to get a steak at Outback Steakhouse…….NOT Ocean Prime (which costs three times more). 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
That's what makes a city like Vegas so amazing. You can travel and do what you want based on your interest and budget. Sometimes we want laid back and upscale while other times we like to party and turn up more.
Cant afford the Wynn? Maybe someday. Here is a little hint: it's easier if you live poor while you are saving instead of pretending you are rich when you are not.
What’s up with these $700 + room charges you’re quoting? I’m seeing prices below $150 on multiple sites.. That being said, a few nights in Vegas require the ‘just bring money’ motto..
I've stayed at Fontainebleau a couple times since it opened and it's one of my favorite hotels on Strip. The main reason why I love it is because it isn't that busy. The weekends are a bit crowded but it's not crazy like the hotels in the middle of the Strip. I love their food hall and their high end sushi restaurant on the top floor, Ito, it's one of my favorite sushi places that I've eaten at.
@@elixier33 Maybe to you it's soulless and bland. But to me it's nice, clean and quite. I don't care for theme hotels and the more popular spots on the Strip are full of obnoxious people.
Just compare Fontainebleau and Resort World with all other strip hotels... These new hotels are soul-less, clinical, Airport style buildings. All clean white, Gold, marble. Over high rooms filled with empty ess or strange Design. Additionally everything overpriced to make the "experience" luxurious. Thank you, but no thank you.
Location and Pricing. I live in Vegas and I rarely go north of Venetian and Treasure Island. Not much going on up there. The hotels are either too pricey or dumpy and they are spread out. Occasionally, I will go to Resorts World for a concert, but that is it. Most of the good stuff is on the south end of the strip
I’ve been there a couple of times-and I can speak only for myself. I found the resort to be very nice but it felt very sterile. It felt like a glamorous office building. That’s not the feeling that I want when I come to Vegas--I want a hotel that has a vibe and energy. The Fontainebleau is undoubtedly nice-but I found it to be void of energy. The location isn’t great-you have to walk by some empty lots either way to get to another hotel/casino-or you have to cross the street. There are some solid food options there-but they are pricey-and secondly--Vegas is filled with plenty of good food options. I’d rather eat somewhere that has energy-and once you factor in the price of the food-going there to eat is not super motivating.
We went there once and my husband and I lost a ton of money within one hour. So we personally will never go back. I'll stick with casinos i enjoy playing at
That room is kind of smol for $750/night regular price. The fact that you did not disclose how much you had to spend on your previous stay to garner the $140/night upgrade comp is sus. Why you frontin' yo ?
To be honest we don’t know lmao. We just check to see what offers we have at each hotel chain (mgm, Caesars, etc) before we book. I’m guessing a couple grand between the two of us though? Don’t take that as fact though. Sorry for the lack of info not trying to be shady we just truly don’t know an exact figure that got us the comp
I’m staying there Thanksgiving but mainly because it’s comped nights. Made a stop in with my daughter in June to check it out. Signed up for the card, used the free play and drinks, lost a few hundred. So gonna use the comps. Doubt I’ll play much there again, as it just doesn’t have the action vibes.
Yeah the action and vibes are more chill. We’re doing the same. We keep getting comps there which makes it easier for us to go out to Vegas more and film. We live in Austin Texas and travel is a huge expense for our production cost.
Was there on a Saturday and it was DEAD. Ate a $16 hamburger with no sides. Played a few slots and na da. No one seemed happy. And that’s customers and their workers. Won’t be back ever.
We just got back from a short stay in Dec and they have all these holiday displays up. It really helps. I hope they bring in more displays and art to fill up all that empty space.
I think many of you are failing to realize Vegas is Growing. also, I think many of you are blinding yourselves to the caliber of people come to Vegas on a daily basis. FB is still new. There's Boutiquee, etc that haven't even opened yet. The location isn't bad, at all. It's setting up to be the prime attraction is that area of Vegas, because VEGAS IS GROWING. Football team, hockey team, NASCAR, baseball team, resorts, residencies, conferences, etc. Vegas isn't just a crater city in the desert anymore. Yall might not be the target niche. Go to Excaliber.
It's a very elegant hotel. I believe people are avoiding it for two main reasons. 1. Location 2. Most locals and Vegas goers are already establish with player cards that keep their mighty dollar link to rack up their establish points. If the hotel was part of MGM/Ceasars they will be doing a lot better. That's the only reason why I avoided it. I keep my points with MGM and my military status allows me free parking at all MGM hotels. My perks and incentives at MGM resorts keep me away from FountainBleau
As a local I played there a few times, enough to get on their mailing list and free money. But nothing, as if they do not want the locals. IMO they will not survive without the locals.
Regarding The Tavern, besides standard bar food, the salmon dinner was fantastic. Great variety of restaurants, The Tavern was the most affordable. My husband, sister, and I stayed at Fountaine Bleu September 29 thru October 4. We loved it. My husband won 2 jackpots over $4k & my sister got a handpay as well. 10:45am IS EARLY for Vegas!! We found the casino was pretty busy but we typically didn't have to wait to play favorite games. The room was great. But didn't care for the smell of their lotions/soaps that were eucalyptus based. Yuck! The room was comfortable and quiet. I would highly recommend at least visiting the casino & restaurants. The place is GORGEOUS!!!
The problem with the Fountainbleau is that it is just simply boring. There's almost nothing fun do to there and they really have given you essentially no reason at all to go there. Also, the location is terrible. It's way too far north up on the Strip so everything that is fun to do is far too long of a walk. Honestly, I don't know how that place is even going to cover its costs and stay in business. Sure, it will get some convention traffic when big Convention Center shows like CES are in town, but that's nowhere near enough to keep a 3,600 room hotel afloat. Unless something drastic changes there soon, I don't see that hotel making it. (Note to Hotel designers: You have to make your complex a DESTINATION spot by giving people something UNIQUE that they can't find anywhere else if you want people to actually GO there.)
It's not Caesars and it's not MGM, so established players aren't going without some kind of tier-match promotion (if there is said promotion going on, then they need to promote it better). Second, $17 for a slice of pizza with a couple of topping - 'nuff said. They are still trying to live down the 6-nacho debacle from their opening; this doesn't help. Location is a problem, there's not that much close by (Circus Circus?) that would be attractive to this kind of clientele. Lastly, rooms are too expensive. Maybe not too expensive for a 5-star resort, but too expansive for a 5-star resort with all of the deficiencies, above.
I was in town in April and the FB was shockingly empty. It looks like a nice property ( I walked through), but it didn't seem like much of the retail was open when I was there.
it's not ON the strip, they want premium price, but not serving premium service or location. no one want to gamble at an empty casino, less choices, restricted for players to move from one table to another.
I gave them a try the last time I was in Las Vegas. I probably won't be back. They don't status match with other rewards programs. It would take a lot of gambling at that one casino to get to the status that I have at MGM and Caesars. If they did match, and send me good room offers, I would stay there and therefore gamble there. I prefer to gamble where I am staying.
I paid $36 for a small burger, onion rings, and small bottle of soda, not including tip. The food was ok. I had a breakfast bagel in the morning cafe, made with a fresh everything bagel, cheese, egg and bacon, by far the best breakfast sandwich I ever had period at any restaurant or cafe, absolutely delicious, but $18 without tip or taxes? Too expensive
I remember walking by this casino while it was under construction and wondering why it was taking so long to build!! I thought they would never finish it!!
The Venetian Palazzo, Caesars, Bellagio is the center of the action. All the shop space thats still vacant gives off empty mall vibes and that just sucks the life out of the area. Then there is not an abundance of Video Poker Keno machines and being recognized as one of the worse casinos for Video Poker isnt good. The Craps tables are very nice but they are the largest tables on the strip. Craps players know that you always seek out the shortest tables that support your play. The sports bar is nice but you also need a sports lounge with massive Tvs. So just having the sports bar is not adequate. Me personally its too bright inside feels like im in an office. To add more to the problem for it to be successful it has to steal patrons from WYNN ENCORE and Resorts World and that is a tall feat. `Plus i really dont get the Merc diving nose first in the fountain out front. Like just says hey come here if you want to comit self deletion
Our goal for Summer 2025 is to stay at Fountaine Bleu. Hoping we will get some comps. We stayed at Resorts World twice this summer and had a great time. I expect the same or better from FB!
Loved watching this one - It truly is an underrated property that has so much potential. We would love to make a stay there but haven’t yet booked it. That being said we love the dining, the slot selection, and really need to just book it. We watched this one and said we just need to consider it for 2025 -Paul
I can tell you what's wrong, location, no movie theater, no outside venues, no scenic walking trails to explore outside. It's just a big blue trap to tax and take your money.
Was just there for a week. Beautiful hotel, huge suites. You can still breathe there. Ppl smoke but it’s tolerable unlike older places with that awful cigarette/cleaning fluid stench. Was crowded all week. Only drawback is its location on the north strip.
I dined and gambled at Fontainebleau , but to me Caesars Palace's is the best model for a casino hotel, high end shopping feels more like a very upscale mall then a Hotel/Casino good mix of restraunts and has a cool feel to it. Fountanebleau doesnt have a good flow
The facilities are definitely five-star quality, but the service feels more like what you’d expect at a three-star hotel, that is why people don't go there.
It’s petty, but the $6 for a coke was a huge turn off for me. I pay for fancy or deluxe when I feel it’s worth it but that’s just a stupid price for a coke. That alone made me look at all the other prices and I decided to stay elsewhere. No regrets. Maybe the next new owners will be more reasonable.
FB is very beautiful. Don's Prime Steakhouse is excellent. Expect to spend at least $200 pp. Very high quality with great service. Last Sunday was very busy.
Prices. I dont believe the location is that important. If you have a hot spot, people will come. The prices and customer service. Get a few headliners. Offer casino slot contest until people know you are there. When people plan trips, most plan 6-12 months in advance and that may not have been an option at planning time. Give it another year. It did take 20 to build. Will take more than a year for it to start popping and get the word out.
Fontainebleau is currently my favorite hotel/casino on the strip. I think there are several factors giving it problems. Locals had to look at an unfinished Fontainebleau for nearly 2 decades. That, coupled with its high end finishes and lack of fun atmosphere have made it kryptonite for locals. For Tourists, Fontainebleau is a bit out of the way. Although Resorts World is better than I thought it would be and the Sahara remodel has made it my go to value option on the strip, it is not a street party on the north strip and everything is far away. It would help if it were on the monorail. But until more goes in on north strip it is kinda an island that you have to uber to and from. As an island though Im good with it. I love the open and airy casino, although I think they could benefit from dimming the lights in the casino areas and creating a bit more ambiance. I personally like the feel of the place but I understand why people feel its like a mall or airport terminal. Artwork and lighting could really help this. People also need to remember that only about half the stuff is even open. There are a lot of walls with coming soon signs. Once everything is open it will feel much better. They will add things as they go to. Personally I think its off to a pretty great start I am just worried it isn’t going to get the business it needs to work if everyone is going to just hate on it. Sad to me because the property is quite nice, and has great potential. The food options are second to none on the strip in my opinion. I actually have a design suggestion for them, I think the entire casino ceiling should be dripping with crystals and cut glass in undulating patterns. All in blue and clear crystals but in much shorter drapes than the central bar making that still a focal point. It would cost a fortune but it would be absolutely stunning. You could create the illusion and make it feel like your inside a fountain with the ceiling having crystals hanging at just 4-6 inches from the ceiling with the longer drips like 12-24” making the entire casino ceiling a dripping crystal masterpiece which the center bar already is. Also, as I said dim the lights in the casino by half at least. I also think a problem with it is that it cost so much to build, with so many issues, they seem to be stingy with perks. That would change quickly if it were busier. Personally I love the pool deck and the rooms and views. There is literally nothing to hate about the place and people say its pretentious and expensive but Im not rich and love staying there. They have a ton of great food for cheap, you just can’t eat at the steakhouse and Komodo every night. I hear they are doing well with celebrities. Apparently, Brittnee Spears and J-Lo frequent the spa there. I hear they have great services for high rollers and celebrities. Anyway, thats my two cents on Fontainebleau 👍🏼
Location, location, location. Add in the lack of a buffet to draw crowds in and compete with Wynn and Caesars and the place feels empty. You have to spend a fortune to eat in restaurants and $50+ for a pizza in their food court is a bit too much for the majority of the strip crowd.
Why are people in the comments section bitching about the location. You've got Circus Circus across the street, Resorts World, Wynn/Encore, Sahara, and Strat all down the block and those places draw crowds.
The "mobility cart" crowd struggles with staying charged up while on vacation. They really need to put outlets at all the buffet seating. That will help out.
Everyone else is saying it but it’s the location. I didn’t even realize how far north on the strip it until recently but that is a huge problem. No one wants to go north of Treasure Island or Wynn.
I would also like to see what kinda action they get in there on a friday or saturday at midnight, if the casino is that dead they better start filling out the BK papers
If I remember correctly my college French, shouldn’t it be pronounced, “fon-tain-blue?” 🤷♂️ There are only two reasons to go that far north on LVB: the Peppermill and the Golden Steer.
I live in Las Vegas and I avoid the strip at all cost. The strip Casinos are built off pure Greed and they don't care about the customers. People will go there because it's the Las Vegas Strip the Casino know this so they hike up the prices.
I think one of the major problems is the vibe and you have this huge bar in the center without the classic Vegas Sinatra music coming out of it which you really yearn for. It would be great to have some live musicians there it's so palatial that it reminds me more of like a big Resort rather than a casino. Also there is only one video poker bar and people love to play video poker or hang around the bar. I just think it needs to loosen up have some music have some party Vibe it's just a little bit too staid.
It s off to a bad start when J.T. play there and then stays at Wynn. Too Far north as usual over priced and Wynn/Encore are the leaders in luxe on the strip...end of story. GR8 vid.
Thanks for checking it out. We love Wynn/Encore too. We filmed back to back between the two resorts. Will say Wynn is looking a bit worn but still luxurious.
Because these resorts are all starting to look and feel the same. Bland and generic luxury. They are dull and lifeless to gamble at. They nickel and dime you on everything. Vegas just isn't the value that it once was for the middle class. Plus, the hotels that are on the north strip are a little more isolated and that is a turn off for some folks
It's the pricetag that comes along with the room, i dont mind to be staying in a hotel a bit from the action but i do not want to pay a higher price than hotels smack in the action. Last time I stayed at Red Rock, a beautiful hotel with a beautiful pool, but 30 mins from the strip. I paid less than a 5 star hotel smack in the strip, I guess it was because i was a bit far from the strip. Why would I pay more for the Fontainbleau ???
true, the prices can be a bit steep. We sometimes like to stay far from the strip when we are looking for a more relaxed trip. Well as relaxed as you can get in a city like Vegas. We do love to be center Strip but sometimes it's just too much.
Actually it’s one of the easier hotels to get into and out of. The south end hotels are where it’s chaos and a nightmare to navigate anywhere. The casino refuses to get competitive as nd the vibe is not friendly. Rooms and food expensive. The casino only had a grand opening for celebrities and rich for a day and a half. Did nothing for locals or visitors unlike Resorts World recently where they had specials, dancers, free stuff everything. It’s locals and tourists that support casinos. So if they want to be snobs and position themselves for the rich and celebrities let those people support the place I’ll go elsewhere where feel welcome.
That is a very common feeling and we definitely get that. We gamble a bit so the comps have been decent. They seem desperate to have people stay there so we've been getting some free rooms that are harder for us to get center strip. Though we love being center too.
1030am and you wounded why it’s slow. Was it during a weekday. If so that’s about right. Check out park mgm from 7am to 11am it’s a ghost town some days.
@@RandomRecess then say what day you were there and the times you were there. Was it 2 hours or more and if so then when you said it’s 10:35 but you already filmed the content then were you there at 7-8am. Based on the sun in the pool you had to of been there between 9-930. @ this was filmed over a series of three days. Our point is that the resort is not very busy but it’s an amazing property. Not everything happens in real time because we film over our entire stay. This is common for most vlogs.
Overpriced, isolated, & poor transportation options - if you were wondering why it isn't popular. Theme is kinda weak. Nothing I wanna go out of my way to see here. Value seems poor. With all the other options at the price point, this one isn't appealing - unless someone else is buying.
Would you stay at Fontainebleau Vegas?
Yup I am obsessed. I love this hotel.
nope cost too much.

I like the location. The furthest end of the strip was good 25 years ago.
One might think that being literally next door to the convention center would be a huge plus.
It's the location, and also because the casino feels like an airport terminal.

As a Vegas regular, I can say a few things.
1. The Casino is not intimate at all. It's too big and everything is too spread out.
2. The ceilings are way too tall. As someone else said, it seems like you are at the airport.

Dang that stinks. Sorry that happened to you. We’ve had similar experiences at Vdara.
You will be ok. Hope you won some money over at Circus Circus.
Yup! They're service is horrible. The rooms are bad as well.
Do they have some kind of car or jitney service to transport you to the central part of the strip.
A huge hotel like that seems like it should operate like a super Walmart offering everyday low pricing on everything. If I'm paying premium prices, would much rather have more intimate and unique surroundings, a more personal feeling. It feels like a huge dying shopping mall.
It’s definitely large. The casino has super high ceilings and the pool complex is so nice.
If they picked up the Fontainebleau property and just dropped it where the Tropicana was, it would be one of the top 3 Strip hotels.
Right!
True I like think it’s just because the north end just not what it was icons like the Stardust, Sands and Riviera dominated the north end. They’re trying hard to gentrify that area
They need to make a unique tram or ride for Resorts World, Fontaine Blu to the main part of the Strip
That would be amazing TBH. It really needs to get connected to the rest of the Strip.
Let us know where you end up at. We love Vegas and center strip has a lot to offer. Hope you have an amazing time.
It's not cheap to turn the lights on. Needs to fill up or it will always be "under new management".
Thanks for checking it out. Yeah food on the Strip is getting out of hand.
It’s soooo nice
As a local, the property seems full of itself, especially for that part of the strip. It's not welcoming.
Interesting. It did seem a little cold. We chalked that up to it being new. But yeah other resorts on and off the strip do feel a lot more welcoming. We still enjoyed our stay but can def see this point!
Why do you gotta tear down a beautiful resort like this?
@@korymillett7086 we aren’t tearing it down, we actually love this resort. We are just wondering why it’s not as popular right now, that’s all. We stay here often and really like it
@@RandomRecess You’re just focusing on the casino which at night draws a big crowd. The nightclub, dayclub, restaurants and theater are always jumping.
@ objectively this resort is much slower than other places like the Wynn. It doesn’t mean it’s a bad resort by any means we are just saying it seems less popular. We aren’t criticizing it lol we love it
Location, location, location! It's as simple as that.
This seems to be the consensus
Everyone acts like every property even CAN be built in the prime, center locations. It's literally not possible.
Yeah it would be nice if the prices would go down. The comps are good at the moment.
In my opinion its too expensive to be so new. They gotta build an audience and gradually raise prices if absolutely necessary.
💰
If I go to Vegas, I go for fun theming. These seems fancy more than fun. If this were put in NYC, it would be near the top of my list (obviously without the huge pool and casino). Nice review. Enjoyed watching. I have to ask, were you comped because of your gambling status or because you have a RUclips Vlog Channel?
Comped from gambling status. Fontainebleau casino perks are some of the best we’ve experienced in Vegas.
I loved. Most tourists going to Vegas won't look for new hotels. This was a sleeping gem in 2024 but the prices and bookings for the hotel have increased big time for 2025.
Stayed there in the early spring. Yes, its BIG, yes its "over the top", yes, its at the far end of the strip...
BUT! The facility is gorgeous, AND It's rapidly developing out that way...Give it time 👍👍
It is gorgeous! We think you are right though. It will just need more time to grow into the area and find it's identify.
All very good points!
It felt eerie And it needs a vibe that keeps the energy flowing during the day
Weird is a good way to describe some of those spaces, that’s for dang sure.
Out of all the fontainbleu reviews, this was the Beat !
Oh wow thank you so much!!! That means a lot
loved this video!! for us, it's the location, we ALMOST booked it when we went to Vegas but it felt so far away. After watching this we wanna try it out though, it looks so nice
Thanks. It’s definitely not close to any of the action. If you want a chill vibe then this hotel is it.
It's not that far away from anything. Pretend you are "speed walking" or what ever the ridiculous Karen's do in our neighborhood every night.
Did you get a baked potato with your $100 credit?
Yeah don’t blame you, that doesn’t sound like a great experience
Spot on review, not worth another stay
Can’t really disagree here
I stayed there last week, and the Fontainebleau was fantastic and especially loved my dinner at Don’s Prime Steakhouse.
That's awesome! Yeah we loved Don’s Prime. We did a review there and had the tomahawk cut.
It’s crazy. And good comparison to Covid era cause it really does feel like 2020 in there with how few folks go
Great video - thank you for the inspiration - I am on my way!
🙌🙌🙌
I love the Fontainebleau hotel. Planning to go back👍
What’s the best room to stay at here and how does one go about getting upgraded while there !???
We were quoting the prices for the suite, not the standard room
I've stayed at Fontainebleau a couple times since it opened and it's one of my favorite hotels on Strip. The main reason why I love it is because it isn't that busy. The weekends are a bit crowded but it's not crazy like the hotels in the middle of the Strip. I love their food hall and their high end sushi restaurant on the top floor, Ito, it's one of my favorite sushi places that I've eaten at.
Ooooh Ito is on our list, it looks so cool!
It's soulless and bland.
Completely fair and valid
Location and Pricing. I live in Vegas and I rarely go north of Venetian and Treasure Island. Not much going on up there. The hotels are either too pricey or dumpy and they are spread out. Occasionally, I will go to Resorts World for a concert, but that is it. Most of the good stuff is on the south end of the strip
Yeah, the north side has some work to do for sure!
I'll stick with casinos i enjoy playing at
I hate when that happens. We have definitely experienced this at a few strip resorts
the prices are just outrageous.....$28 burger at the pool? omfg
Yeah they are high but typical for Vegas.
re: "omfg" = do you use that disgusting phrase much in daily life? ehhh?
@@warriormanmaxx8991do you get that triggered by others people’s speech that much in daily life ?
That room is kind of smol for $750/night regular price. The fact that you did not disclose how much you had to spend on your previous stay to garner the $140/night upgrade comp is sus.
Why you frontin' yo ?
To be honest we don’t know lmao. We just check to see what offers we have at each hotel chain (mgm, Caesars, etc) before we book. I’m guessing a couple grand between the two of us though? Don’t take that as fact though. Sorry for the lack of info not trying to be shady we just truly don’t know an exact figure that got us the comp
Bad location and ridiculous prices
Wow, not a good sign when the weekends are slow.
I love staying here. It’s definitely my favorite property at the moment.
It’s so nice and quiet.. for now 😂
I visited in June of 2024. It's new, clean, and beautiful for sure. It does, however, feel a bit sterile.
There is definitely a lot of growth happening in Vegas. What we love about it is there is something for everyone and for any budget.
Stayed there back in April and it was amazing, would definitely stay again.
We really like it
It's a very elegant hotel. I believe people are avoiding it for two main reasons.
1. Location
Both very good points!
$17 for a slice of pizza? No thanks. 🙄
It’s expensive but also really really good.
@@RandomRecess I can get really good slices here for 2 or 3 dollars!
As a local I played there a few times, enough to get on their mailing list and free money. But nothing, as if they do not want the locals. IMO they will not survive without the locals.
I’m still so confused as to why they don’t cater to locals. Seems like a slam dunk
no in room coffee even in the top suites is ridiculous.
They really want you to buy their coffee. Lol
@@RandomRecess Lousey guest experience
We think so too!
Especially in Vegas where there's so much competition. Hard to see it succeed when it's this empty. Thanks for checking out our video.
I enjoyed my stay here, it was very luxurious to stay there. Definitely the type of place you won’t have a weirdo next door to you.
😂 you never know lol
Very valid criticisms for sure
I was in town in April and the FB was shockingly empty. It looks like a nice property ( I walked through), but it didn't seem like much of the retail was open when I was there.
Yeah it feels like an abandoned mall in some parts still lol
Location and price. I was looking to book and fountainebleau was more expensive Aria or Encore.
Yeah and for that price, at least Aria and Wynn are closer to stuff
it's not ON the strip, they want premium price, but not serving premium service or location. no one want to gamble at an empty casino, less choices, restricted for players to move from one table to another.
Definitely hate gambling at empty casinos lol
I gave them a try the last time I was in Las Vegas. I probably won't be back. They don't status match with other rewards programs. It would take a lot of gambling at that one casino to get to the status that I have at MGM and Caesars. If they did match, and send me good room offers, I would stay there and therefore gamble there. I prefer to gamble where I am staying.
Totally valid. We were shocked they didn’t tier match either. We think they are missing an easy layup with loyal gamers there.
They did status match up until JUNE 1ST ,I got gold status since I had MGM golden status as well.
@ oooh nice!
It looks beautiful, but the room & food prices are too high. I like luxury at reasonable prices.
Yeah it’s a little pricey for sure
I paid $36 for a small burger, onion rings, and small bottle of soda, not including tip. The food was ok. I had a breakfast bagel in the morning cafe, made with a fresh everything bagel, cheese, egg and bacon, by far the best breakfast sandwich I ever had period at any restaurant or cafe, absolutely delicious, but $18 without tip or taxes? Too expensive
I remember walking by this casino while it was under construction and wondering why it was taking so long to build!! I thought they would never finish it!!
Excellent food and shopping! Had an awesome time there. It was busy when I went.
Not the self deletion 😂
Our goal for Summer 2025 is to stay at Fountaine Bleu. Hoping we will get some comps. We stayed at Resorts World twice this summer and had a great time. I expect the same or better from FB!
Hope you get some comps and have a great time!
Loved watching this one - It truly is an underrated property that has so much potential. We would love to make a stay there but haven’t yet booked it.
That being said we love the dining, the slot selection, and really need to just book it. We watched this one and said we just need to consider it for 2025

Thanks for checking it out. It’s a beautiful resort and honestly sometimes you just want a chill stay.
Loved the video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I can tell you what's wrong, location, no movie theater, no outside venues, no scenic walking trails to explore outside. It's just a big blue trap to tax and take your money.
It’s definitely very large and away from most things.
Beautiful place, just gorgeous! The Don’s Prime Stake is awesome!!!
We loved Dons!
Was just there for a week. Beautiful hotel, huge suites. You can still breathe there. Ppl smoke but it’s tolerable unlike older places with that awful cigarette/cleaning fluid stench. Was crowded all week. Only drawback is its location on the north strip.
Yeah the high ceilings make it a bit more tolerable to breathe. We enjoyed it.
Nice new hotel and all, but most people who would stay there already are loyal to MGM, or Caesars rewards program.
It’s going to be difficult for them to break into that crowd. The comps are really good at the moment.
I dined and gambled at Fontainebleau , but to me Caesars Palace's is the best model for a casino hotel, high end shopping feels more like a very upscale mall then a Hotel/Casino good mix of restraunts and has a cool feel to it. Fountanebleau doesnt have a good flow
It definitely has a different vibe. we love Caesar's and did a full video there too. their pool complex is amaazing.
High End Casino at a Budget End Location
perfect summary of this property but things may change over time.
The facilities are definitely five-star quality, but the service feels more like what you’d expect at a three-star hotel, that is why people don't go there.
We had a good experience all together.
I just checked the prices for a couple weekends in December. I have plenty of money but I'm not spending 700 a night. Just way over priced, no thanks.
You could get like 466 hot dogs at Costco for that
Great review! The room looks so nice and clean.
The room was so awesome
It’s petty, but the $6 for a coke was a huge turn off for me. I pay for fancy or deluxe when I feel it’s worth it but that’s just a stupid price for a coke. That alone made me look at all the other prices and I decided to stay elsewhere. No regrets. Maybe the next new owners will be more reasonable.
Yeah that’s pretty crazy for a coke
Crazy prices
FB is very beautiful. Don's Prime Steakhouse is excellent. Expect to spend at least $200 pp. Very high quality with great service. Last Sunday was very busy.
Glad to hear it’s getting busy. We really enjoyed Don’s. We’ll filmed a review there the first time we stayed at FB
Really good points. We’ve been getting a ton of great casino offers and we don’t play very much.
Very high limits on gambling and bad location.
Very thorough review and great points!
You nailed it in the first paragraph: "lack of fun atmosphere". Who wants to go to a no fun Vegas resort?
I remember seeing some windows missing half way up. I kept thinking what a waste, it's almost done.
One of the bars needs to be a dueling piano bar, also free parking would be nice
Unfortunately, I dont see them making it. Everyone has pointed out the flaws already. Even the gaming floor is boring.
Hoping things can change. The vibes are off for sure
It’s much pricier in rooms than resorts but nicer I will try it next time the casino is busy at night but not great drink service TY!
Great review guys
Thank you so much! ♥️
Yep!!!
The "mobility cart" crowd struggles with staying charged up while on vacation. They really need to put outlets at all the buffet seating. That will help out.
Because it’s expensive
It’s not cheap that’s for sure
Everyone else is saying it but it’s the location. I didn’t even realize how far north on the strip it until recently but that is a huge problem. No one wants to go north of Treasure Island or Wynn.
Yeah we like it sometimes when we want a more peaceful Vegas trip. When we want to party we go center strip.
We freaking love Peppermill! Also we mispronounce this hotel all the time clearly we were struggling 😂😂😂
It’s pronounced as it is spelled. No french pronunciation
@@RandomRecess- Actually, if the locals pronounce it your way, who the hell am I to say otherwise? 😏
First time staying here and I love this place ! Not too crowded, not overly "themed" and Had a great meal at Mother Wolf the other night!
How good was Mofher Wolf and that bread?!?! We LOVE it
I live in Las Vegas and I avoid the strip at all cost.
Good point about the vibes. The casino is definitely more chill at least when we stayed.
I definitely would rather stay at Wynn/Encore.
@@stillracer2514 we love Wynn Encore. We also stayed there right after Fontainebleau
@ can’t go wrong with Wynn!
We need to do a Downtown Vegas stay soon, we agree about the changes to the strip for sure
True but it was really slow the entire time we were there.
@@RandomRecess then say what day you were there and the times you were there. Was it 2 hours or more and if so then when you said it’s 10:35 but you already filmed the content then were you there at 7-8am. Based on the sun in the pool you had to of been there between 9-930. Next time be more transparent instead of click baiting views
Very fair
