30-40fps is fine for most games, looks nice, and is responsive, some games benefit from having 60fps+ though, I am still running a R9 270X/ AMD FX 8150/ 16GB of matching DDR3 ram @1600Mhz, runs most games still, but does struggle with the newest and some will not run with the old GCN 1.0 DX11_1 arch, but I can run Cyberpunk and RDR 2 at 40fps+ When I get the money I will be upgrading to a Ryzen/ Nvidia 2*** series
It's absolutely criminal that he quotes the price as "$750-$1300" for a machine with a 4770k and a 1060 6 gb.
These hardware prices are absolutely insane. I remember getting my first pc for around $1000, and it was running a 6600k watercooled, R9 390, 16 gb DDR4. And that was when the 6th gen was brand new.
Nowadays you can get an insane pc for 1000, i got mine for 1000 around a year ago but if i waited a year i wouldve gotten a much better deal. But obviously that is unavoidable because thats how tech prices work unfortunately…

For real. My first PC I built back in 08 was a Q6600, 8gigs of ram, and an 8800GTS. I managed to squeeze 8 years out of that thing before upgrading to an i5 7600k, 1060, and 16gigs of ram. Basically exactly what he built in this video. Both brand new cost me $1200. The 7600k is now sitting at 32 gigs of ram but other than that remains untouched but is starting to show it's age. I got new monitors along with both of them for that price. Looking at the prices now for a new build and it's hovering between 1900-2200 depending on sales for nearly the same modern config.
I’m about to build a 1000$ PC. Pretty damn glad the miners got what they deserved and now I can get a 3070 for 400$.
@@SuperGankBros hope its going well, just built my new rig for £2000-2500, I9 11900k, MSI Z490 gaming plus MB, MSI RTX 3060 ventus X2 OC 12GB, 2tb samsung Qvo storage, 1tb samsung evo 980 pro boot drive, MSI A850GF PSU, a MSI 110r case with inbuilt fans aswell as an MSI radiator, and to finish it off its got 64gb of ddr4 corsair vengeance ram running at 3600mhz.

You should do this every year around Xmas to show the evolution of the hardware people use over years.
For a while I was rocking an I7 2600K, GTX 1050TI, and 16 gigs of ram since I built my rig in 2017. I was amazed at everything I could merely run above 30FPS with decent graphical settings, even into 2020 and 2021. At the beginning of 2022 I upgraded my GPU to an AMD 5 ryzen 5600X and my ram to 32 gigs. I also ended up upgrading my card to a 3070TI about 2 weeks ago. I feel like a my middle school self again.

In the same boat. My last PC build was in 2010 in middle school in a 83F room thanks to my GTX 480. Bought a STRIX laptop for college with a 1070 and 16gb ram. Then now just built a PC with a 3090Ti. Overkill, I thought I would make my 1070 obsolete but it's still got a few years for less demanding tasks, as it was starting to show it's limitations for content creation.

You can't really upgrade from this system because it's basically the best cpu for this chipset. So to upgrade the cpu you need to upgrade the mobo, then you need to also buy new ram because ddr4 vs ddr3. You could upgrade your gpu but what's the point when you're stuck on this cpu.
That would be great because many people have this kind of pc. Plus what to upgrade that wount take half your money

@@Bael1111It depends but the prices on PH are generally pretty much *kinda identical to US msrp which is surprising enough and nowadays that you got lot of choice where to buy from like online shopping and snagging some voucher etc you can lower that price more, i got RX6600 in shoppee for 18,550php ($325 which yes is still over MSRP but what you expect from the current world situation but still better priced compare to f**ng nvidia 3060) last week which is a mid range GPU good enough for 1080p/1440p gaming or you can go to FB marketplace and buy a second hand 2060 or 1660super if you have some trust on second sellers.
So yeah just don't buy on online sellers that has low rating you be good locally anyway, overseas aka china can be a 50/50 cause looking at their situation as well as the packaging etc.

Man a 4790k with 16GB of ram and a 1060 was my daily driver for almost 5 years (well the cpu at least, the gpu was upgraded to the 1060 at a later stage). I still miss that PC. So many good memories

thats basically my setup, i recently god some upgrades with an MPG Sekira 100R and MAG A650GF both from MSI, now my pc looks amazing and i got a Asus 1050 Ti, Intel i5 7500, 16gb ram, forgot the motherboard but its an older asus Z-series, a 1TB SSD and a 120 GB HDD. Im quite happy with it as it runs most games well.

Still have my gaming rig from 2011, case and mobo still the same as when I got it (the case even has the original blue intake fan at the front), came with a i5 2500k, 8gbs of ram and a gtx570. Since then I've been tinkering with it, upgrading and swapping out old components. 8Gb became 16Gb and is now 32Gb of old DDR3 ram, replaced the stock cooler with a hyper212 and overclocked the i5 eventually, and now that same hyper212 with a replacement Noctua fan cools my overclocked 2600k with an optimistically bought 2700k on the shelf waiting for when I can bring myself to crack the case open again. The 570 eventually became a 780 (once that series was on its way out and they were cheap) and finally is now a 1070. Both the CPU and GPU and an upgraded PSU were bought used to save on bucks, and have worked fine for years now. I have gone through two SSD boot drives and a number of disks, and somehow I've borked sleep mode so that doesn't work any more. But I do intend to run this rig into the grave, after that we'll see, maybe I'll try the Steam Deck desktop life.

I built my own pc about 3 years ago used an i5 6600k gigabyte h110m motherboard with 16gb ddr4 and a 1060 6gb g1gaming from gigabyte and it's still holding up pretty well today

As of late it’s gotten even better as well. Here in Canada I can go pick up a pre built for around 1600 with a 3060 if I have the money if not you can also get 1100 dollar ones with 2000 series GPU’s
Edit: To build one it’s even better however it’s honestly cheaper to get a 3060 prebuilt and upgrade it overtime
um idk if thats a canadian thing but even after currency conversion, I can manage to build a 12400f+3060ti build with $800usd (~1.1k cad)

@@ethanjenkins8941 the trick is to be willing to purchase an used gpu and cpu from someone that's upgrading. I was able to get the 3060ti for $350, 12400f for $120.

just recently switched to pc back in april 2022. heres my build.
Cpu: intel core i3 10100f running at stock speed.
Gpu: 1050ti (which i was surprised to see is the 2nd most used card)
Ram: 16GB
MoBo: Asus prime m560-m (I think)
and the rest doesnt really matter
My main game is rocket league and its a smooth 144 all day long. but ive branched out into some bigger games recently like the MW2 beta getting avg 80 frames on low-mid settings
Forza Horizon 6 on fairly high settings because i want that game to look good avg 65-70 fps
I would say im very happy with this machine for what i payed. around 1300 all together. that includes my desk and accessories like headset, bluetooth dongle, and 2 monitors. Just the PC was around 950 i think.

I upgraded to a Ryzen 5 3600 with Asrock B450m pro5-f mobo with only 8gb 3200 Oced to 3333 cl16 Pny XLR8 ram on single channel.Still have my Rx 570 8gb though.
Gotta say the i5 wasn't half-bad there were stutters here and there but Cyberpunk was playable.

I had a very similar PC few years ago, but with Gtx 1050 Ti, and I have to say that I was capable of playing everything what I wanted to play along with good graphic settings. However after few years I have upgraded it for Rtx 2070 super and DDR 4 memory with AMD ryzen 5 CPU and I'm really happy with the experience of playing it. Btw had anyone else watched this video in 2022 lol
have something similar i just took rtx 2060 cos it was in my budget at that time XD but 1050Ti holds pretty darn good even today in games like Lost Ark and Ark(ark kills even 2060 with mods XD) so yh 1050 Ti aint bad at all its pretty good for its price for my opinion..but still 900-1000€ gaming pc is not that hard so more ppl should just get the darn 2060 or 2070 and enjoy it for few years at peace XD

Dual channel RAM actually causes 2 latencies, which is twice the latent of one latent, therefore single channel is faster. Would you rather carry 2 or 1 bowling balls? Think about it.

Im impress that gear is really looking like mine... 4core i5 7600 3.5ghz, Mother board B250M-DS3H, gskill ripjaws V 2×8gb and 2x4gb, gtx 1060 6gb, 480 giga ssd+ 1 tera ssd + 1 tera hdd, 550W corsaire alim and cooler master wich i dont remember an the cpu...cost estimated now around 700/750€... Glad to still be in the average with such old grand pa haha Probably gonna change config for Mass effect 5 :p
i love my budget build pc. its a amd ryzen 5 1600 six-core processor with a arous b.450 motherboard and a radeon 590x series. ive had it since 2020 and it still runs modern games very well even going up to around 90 to 100+ fps on games like cod cold war. even playing gta 5 with almost max settings my pc can still run really well with little to no hitching and tearing. i highly recomend ryzen and amd to anyone who is new to pc's

Last month I just upgraded from a first gen i5-650, to a i7-4790. I found a dell xps 8700 tower, z87 chipset on ebay; it included the 4790 processor although it was advertised as a i7-4770 - $140.
I got a rx580 on mercari for $91.
And a 8TB firecuda gamehub external hdd for $118 on gamestop.
I bought a RM750x although i think the stock dell oem 460W would have sufficed- $72, used ebay.
DDR3-1600 8GBx2- $37, new.
Reused my ssd, but found a MLC 256GB for $49 used and am using that; it was in raid format so i havent figured out if it could correctly log its usage- it was very very minimal.
$507 total, plus a new keyboard, mouse, gamepad, headset.
A lot here i can reuse in a future build, and i feel like i got some good deals, but i think anyone could do better
as for performance, im enjoying games i couldnt play before. Baldurs gate 3 on ultra, Metro Exodus, No Mans Sky. There are more robust z87 revisions than the dell OEM that I have, and id recommend going for them instead of a prebuilt.
I remember when you could buy a pretty competent gaming PC for $500. Insane to see todays prices, but also cool to see the 4th gen Intel processors are still holding up. Still running my 4790k! haha

I am running a 4770K with a RTX2080 super and 32gig ram on a 32 inch ultra wide 3440x1440 screen. Still get decent to very good fps in most games. Although I have to lower a few details like extra shadows and such. The 4770K is the best CPU I have had. When I bought it I was planing to have it no more than ca 3 years, it has lasted 11 years! It has survived 3 GPUs. It also has an 11 year old 3TB spin disk and a H110 closed loop that has been running 24/7 for 11 years as well. OC quality parts (nothing is OCed after the 6months because the CPU couldnt) in an Ultra tower might have something to do with it.
You're bottlenecking that 2080 hard, even at 1440p.

I actually did this with a CRT tube once. If you can smear it with a make up sponge, it makes the flickering way more manageable

I bassically have the same set up excetp my CPU is an i5 and my GPU is a 950 , i was on the integrated GPU for so long, the 950 blew my Mind when i got 80 fps on Apex, and cyberpunk at 40 fps ,this rig would bè a gift from the hevens

the specs on this is pretty similar to my computer but i am currently saving up for a pretty top spec (compared to mine) gaming computer
i have had the 1060 since 2016 and replaced my mother board and cpu in 2020 as they were from 2014 and were pretty shit and i also have 32gb of ram that i bought last year which i will transfer to my new pc once i get it
im pretty excited to see the difference going from my pc that was from 2014 and some parts being replaced
to a brand new pc with rtx and other insane things that i never thought i could get
i also want to see how it will impact using blender and animating and modeling on there but mainly for gaming

My laptop has a 1060 with Max q, it runs most things pretty well, but I'm definitely going to upgrade pretty soon.
This year I had to leave the country and the gaming PC I built in 2019 with less than a grand including the (FullHD) monitor. It had a Ryzen 5 2600X and an RX 580 8GB. I never met a game it wouldn't run on Ultra (left a week before Elden Ring got released, so didn't test it on that). My God I miss it :(

@@webbie7503 bcs on average ray tracing also gives a major hit to your framerates while giving minor visual changes (maybe not always minor, depends on the game) so even if u want the current cards with better ray tracing, they're out of stock

@@webbie7503 even a lot of high end RTX cards still have shitty frame rates with ray tracing for what is 'cutting edge' very expensive hardware from benchmark videos I've seen. The few ray tracing games I own it's honestly hard to see the difference with it turned on in those titles versus non-RT rendering methods.
If I spent a thousand bucks on a GPU with ray tracing I'd kind of want more than 60-70fps in a game like Cyberpunk. (My RTX 2060 *non-super* gets about 30fps in that game with RT on.)

I've just seen this video and it's scary how close that is to my rig! I'm running an old Dell Precision Workstation with an E5-1620 chip in it. 4 cores, 8 virtual, running at 3.6/3.8Ghz. 16Gb of DDR3 1600 RAM. Not only that but at the time this video was made I was running a 1050 TI and I've since upgraded to a 2060. But then I'm not a FPS fan and it handles FFXIV, Elite: Dangerous and Minecraft just fine.
Before i had a i7 4770k with a gts 1060.. it started get stale, always lowest settings on tripple A games and medium on abit older games..
I did abit upgrade 2 weeks ago to a Ryzen 9 5900x and RTX 3070ti... well... i cried when i did slide that Cyberpunk 2077 slider to max..
It was an experience i wish i saw for the first time again..
