I think the main reason you find career more enjoyable, at least if you're anything like me, is the consistency in the handling model. This is the first CM F1 game where I've felt that if I attack the corner the same way every time I'll get the same result, without the fear of the kerb choosing to spin me out one time in five, and if I get it wrong in a certain way I know roughly how I'll need to correct. IDK if Abu Dhabi TT had day/night before, but I found myself chasing tenths for an hour.
Yeah, i set my steering and throttle deadzone's to 0% to make sure my inputs are instant. To be fair too i had f12012 for the xbox360 and used a controller, so I am good at using a controller as i could take a fight to some good players in online custom lobbies.
I think all you should do is mess with some of the settings to see what is comfortable for you!
I did just found out that the tire compound at Suzuka aren't correct. on the game het have yellow (Soft) & orange but IRL it's the white and orange one. Hoping for an update
the big con is that all of the turbo cars sound like 4 cylinders when most of them are 6 cylinders and sound nothing alike...
Did you change some of the settings then in the options ?

NEED TO IMPROVE:
-Crashes
-Pit stops
-Different Engine's sounds
-A MODE WHERE YOU CHOOSE YOUR STAFF, DRIVERS, ENGINEERS,... LIKE ULTIMATE TEAM, FOR 2014 PLEEEEAAAASEEE CODEMASTERS
I think the offset t-cam is worse :(
Great review, I agree with those points, just online I think isn't as good as last game due to the track extending, sync problem and that it seems harder to connect and stay connected to lobbies than in F1 2012. But career mode and the AI I think is the major improvement, I'm same as you, found it boring on F1 2012, but am really enjoying it now

I don't like the fact that the AI don't struggle with tyre wear...Maybe next year?

found it for £16.95 but my friend isn't likely to get it until a sale so don't know whether to wait or pick it up and get some practice in.
I have F1 2011 and I want to upgrade. Do you think I should get the Complete Edition of F1 2013 or just get 2012 which is only half the price. What's your thoughts?

Yes I have it and it works fine :)
They can't change the staff, drivers etc because of the licencing I think
Play on the hardest mode, they will make mistakes etc.

Good review but try to refrain from using "like" too much. "I really really like it, I don't know why..." shouldn't be in a review.
they need to make a patch for that it ruins career mode (AI make the options go 17 laps at Monaco)
Using a wheel really slows you down

PS3 lobbies are empty, I'm hoping its just a bug (I'm on standard edition).
And yeah, they've 'fixed' the penalty system by making it way too lenient now.
the throttle is rather poo in the ps3 pad the last 30% of the trigger is full throttle and the first 30% is non existence dont know if its a hardware or software thing
I hate the scenario mode as u can't have auto braking on

I go roughly 1.5seconds quicker on 3 different tracks using a wheel instead of an xbox controller. You just cant have as smooth inputs
Then again I have spun, someone hit me and I got a penalty and I've gotten penalised for barely touching someone. Not fixed by a long shot.
Pit stops are great, all of the rest is nearly impossible due to licensing
