I was burned by my cousin when I was 3 years old and he threw fire at my pants and it caught fire and I ran to the front door to get help. My aunt was changing the beds so she had a sheet in her hand and she said “who’s banging on the door?!” She opened it and saw me on fire and then she covered it with the sheet and then she woke up my father. He worked nights so he was sleeping and we were playing in the backyard together with my aunts son who had issues with his behaviors. To poor boiled water on someone is a very cruel and sick thing to do to someone who is innocent and doesn’t even know that you’re upset with them.

There should've been 30 unhinged cases. I got ten I can think of right here.
-The Defendant who poured bleach on her bf's clothing with the accusation that he was unfaithful (and started throwing a fit to the point that Judge Judy informed her that this wasn't The Jerry Springer Show), and she threw an even bigger fit when Judge Judy found in favor of the Plaintiff, and as the Defendant continued to protest, Judge Judy shut her down with "It's my playpen. I have the word. Goodbye! Go someplace else!"
-'The Defendant who alongside his buddies vandalized the Plaintiff's truck, by ripping a Confederate flag off of it, urinating on it, and putting it back on the truck. When Judge Judy asked for names of who all was involved in this, the Defendant kept insisting that it was irrelevant, and it got to the point where Judge Judy threatened to withhold the Defendant's ticket home if he didn't cooperate with the proceedings.
-The Defendant's adoptive son threw a chair at a car speeding by their house, and, while the son eventually acknowledged that his actions were wrong as they could've caused a serious accident, the father kept going on about how the Plaintiff was recklessly speeding down their road time and time again, and it got to the point where Judge Judy almost got Byrd involved to shut him up.
-The Defendant, who showed up to his case 40 minutes late. Plus, he had inconsistent stories about a family emergency as the reason why he was late, and Judge Judy went pure medieval on his sorry buttocks, on how everyone in that courtroom had jobs and lives and could have been living said lives 40 minutes ago if not for him.
-The Defendant who was being sued for damaging the hood of her friends' car, by jumping on it. She insisted she only sat on the hood to chat with her husband, and that it was a normal thing for her and her friends to do to sit on each other's car hoods. Judge Judy found this ridiculous, and to prove her point, she did a poll with the in-studio audience, asking how many of them sit on each other's car hoods. No one raised a hand. She even went so far as to indirectly insult the Defendant's curvy figure declaring how she had a nice shape, and "wasn't twiggy" to further prove her point.
-The Plaintiff was suing for return of tuition from the Defendants, heads of a Christian Private school. According to the Plaintiffs, the school had locked their son (who was special needs) in a storage closet for his behaviors. Upon further investigation, the teachers and principal only had associate degrees, and thus were unqualified to teach in normal schools, let alone students with special needs. And the loudmouthed superintendent only had a high school diploma. Let's just say Judge Judy put them in their place (and the school was shut down about a year later)
-The Plaintiff who was suing his cousin for damage to his 2000 Mercury cougar. Just as the case began, Judge Judy, who had a cold at the time, briefly excused herself to get some cough suppressant. While she was gone, the Plaintiff started acting like a goofball, taunting his cousin, doing a face-slap dance, laughing with his witness, etc. Then Judge Judy returned (with a huge grin on her face), and she went off on him, revealing that she had seen everything on a TV in her chambers.
-The Defendant and her boyfriend were being sued for their dog attacking the Plaintiffs. When the boyfriend was asked what he was doing at the time, he smugly replied "I was watching TV, This stupid show called Judge Judy." but Judge Judy called him out on his smugness and remarked on how smug men make interesting bf's, but lousy mates.
-The Plaintiff was suing his ex-wife for unreimbursed medical expenses for their daughter, and he was just venting about everything. He presented to Judge Judy a court order claiming both parents were responsible for 50% of said expenses, and it seemed like Judge Judy was going to rule in his favor. However, in his need to vent, he blurted out there was another court order, which he now had to present. This order claimed that both parents were to make decisions about finances, and Judge Judy, having to rube based on this order, reminded that her only job was to deal with the law, and not with his anger, and she chided him for not shutting up when he had the chance to, and she threw his case out.
-The Defendant, an EMT trainee, who clearly had a sassy attitude. She unashamedly admitted she vandalized the Plaintiff's car, and when Judge Judy questioned her abilities to get a job as an EMT with this attitude, the Defendant claimed JJ better hope she never needs CPR, because she wouldn't give it to her.

I've never understood how most people don't dress as though this is a court. I've seen a few young guys in suits but seriously, a nice shirt and tie is easy to do. It's not fake - it's respectful of the courtroom. I was seeing a guy who had to go to family court, and he wore a shirt and tie, I found a good black dress for $3 at the op shop, but his ex and her mother wore trackpants, and the mother wore a hoodie. Others attending court wore similar to his ex. It blew me away how many people don't care to dress respectfully for something so important

Highlights apparently included a description of the incident that added up to them being in four places at once and one of them actually asking Judge Judy what parts they lied about.

Two, I believe should be up there is as follows:
    1) The one where some idiot kid threw a rock at a pregnant lady's car, and the parents defended his actions, despite the fact that if it went wrong he could gone down for 15-20.
    2) The case of some other idiot kid that left his girlfriend's house late in the evening, felt cold, and decided that the best solution was to car-jack the plaintiff, and she reported it to the police, only to find the car totalled, and abandoned.
Oh, and as for #16, what a dumbass!!!!!
#14 - If she had answered with "Errr, errr, errr", she might've looked smarter....
#12 - I don't know what's worse - the fact that her husband sent her to represent him in court, because "he's back home, looking after the kids", or the fact she doubled down on her husbands defence, exposing her, and her husband's idiocy and scumbaggery on a global scale. And by the way, in case you don't know, they later divorced, Miss FIlkins went to prison, and lost custody of the kids, and ultimately passed away a few years back. And despite when it's all said and done, this is the legacy she will leave on this Earth.
    #4 - Oh deer....

My family did that more than once. I'm from Ohio. A small town in Appalachia. I've hit two deer and my brothers and father have all hit at least one. In Ohio it used to be if you called the sheriff after the accident he'd come out and shoot it. You'd be welcome to take it home if you wanted to. I'd you choose not to the carcass is taken to (not a slaughterhouse but a local butcher I think) prepared and donated to a homeless shelter, woman's shelter or food bank

I haven't seen many JJ's shows, and always been convinced it's a fundamental part of her show that she has to be very biased, rude, disrespectful, condescending, etc, to at least one and often both parties in front of her.
Even after I recently read, that she is a real judge, and it's supposed to be real cases and real verdicts in her show!!
Don't know if that is true, but IF it is, then ... I can't be surprised!
People love shows, to see people being rude to each other, like in the very popular Jerry Springer Shows, showing that people watch and very much enjoy when as much injustice as possible unfolds right in front of them, as long as they are not the ones being treated horribly wrong!!
