Another fine biography of Val Kilmer. Val is such a great actor. His Doc Holiday made the movie and should have won an Oscar.. I'm so sorry about his throat cancer. It's really nice to be a true friend like Cher. I hope that he gets better soon and gets to use his fine acting in another movie soon. Val's children have shown that they love him
him too. Thanks, Jerry, for telling us about his life.

I was a RN in Santa Fe at St Vincent Hospital and took care of his wife and daughter Mercedes. Val always wore dark sunglasses when he came to see them. He is one of my favorite actors. I wish him all the best.

Jerry, you have such a way with your laid-back soothing, distinctive voice
I have been listening to for a couple of years now... I'm 78 and really not
Into this modern crop of movie stars
But there are a few, and Val Kilmer is
Definitely one of the few...Val Kilmer
Will go down as one of the very best actors of his time...an thank you for
The awesome research you put in all
Your videos".....Ps...it's appreciated....more than you think"

Thank you Mr Skinner...I really had a lot of questions in mind about Val Kilmer that you mostly had the answers for.
I still think he was most brilliant in Tombstone.
Its a heart break that he was too stubborn to get treatment for his cancer until that terrible morning he woke up with all his blood around him..ie the Godfather.. horse head in bed...he must have been terrified 😢
I am so glad he is on the road to recovery... thanks to Cher his life is back on track...I pray his voice will recover and he can respeak those famous words...
    """ I'm your huckleberry ""
Get well Val Kilmer..you are loved and respected.
Stay sober and I hope you quit smoking...but I think you did quit... because you are loved by so many
God speed Val...or should I say...""" Iceman ''' ... Naaah
    Val is perfect... much love❤❤

Christian Science is a strange beast. My paternal grandmother travelled California in the late 1800's establishing CS reading rooms. The thing about CS is that it works best when you have a congregation that prays together for the healing. It had worked for me in some miraculous ways i.e., two broken and fractured wrists (at the same time, ouch) healed completely in 2 weeks instead of the recommended 6-8 weeks. But, I was young and heal quickly anyway. But the x-rays showed complete healing after two weeks. I can understand Val wanting to stay with his faith but if he didn't have a good support group from the church helping, praying and caring for him, well - very sad it went on so long. I have faith in miracles though and I sure hope Val gets one. When my brother David McCrea passed away I asked my brother Peter what he died from. Peter said "we don't know, David never went to the doctor". He was in his 80s.

@@monahawk ... Thank you for your explanation of your faith... I understand...you took the time and patients to explain to me about Val's beliefs.
In any belief...when it comes to common sense...well , that to me is the time for alternatives...which I thank God, Val with Cher's help finally moved towards his remedy of recovery.
Thank you again for your humble explanation of your faith healing CS. Very interesting.

      Galatians 1:8-9
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so say I now again, *if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.*
      1 Timothy 6:20-21
20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, *and oppositions of science falsely so called:*
21 *Which some professing have erred concerning the faith.* Grace be with thee. Amen.
A few of the errors of "Christian Science".
Christian Scientists distinguish between Jesus and Christ.
For Christian Scientists, Jesus was a man who lived in first-century Palestine and Christ is the name for a certain divine idea: “Jesus is the human man, and Christ is the divine idea; hence the duality of Jesus the Christ.” The invisible Christ (“the ideal Truth, that comes to heal sickness and sin through Christian Science”) became perceptible in the visible Jesus, who was a mere man and demonstrated the divine idea. Eddy once said, “If there had never existed such a person as the Galilean Prophet, it would make no difference to me.”
      Malachi 3:1
1 “Behold, I send My messenger,
And he will prepare the way before Me.
And the Lord, whom you seek,
Will suddenly come to His temple,
Even the Messenger of the covenant,
      In whom you delight.
      Behold, He is coming,”
      Says the Lord of hosts.
      John 1:1-14
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, *and the Word was God.*
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. (The messenger preparing the way before God)
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. (Jesus, the Messiah, the Lord God whom the Jews were waiting for.)
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 *And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,* (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
John 2:13-17 (The Messiah suddenly appears at the Temple.)
13 And the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
14 And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:
      15 And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables;
16 And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise.
17 And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.
      John 4:25-26
25 The woman saith unto him, *I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ:* when he is come, he will tell us all things.
26 Jesus saith unto her, *I that speak unto thee am he.*
      Matthew 16:16-17
16 Simon Peter answered and said, *“You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”*
17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.
      Colossians 1:13-17
13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear *Son:*
14 *In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:*
15 *Who is the image of the invisible God,* the firstborn of every creature:
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Spent a lot of time on the ranch with Roy Rogers.
Ben Johnson's dad was a ranch foreman.
Slim Pickens was a rancher and rodeo cowboy.
    Seems to be a pattern.

I don't know why everyone that does any kind of a doc on Kilmer they never mention when he did "A Man who broke a thousands chains." Or the one he did with Tommy Lee Jones as a calvery officer.

Very dear Jerry Skinner, you are a treasure!!! I have wondered for so many years what the situation actually was with Val Kilmer, who is a great and important actor, and no amount of internet research could answer this question. Only now, with this video mini-documentary do I finally know the truth. Your RUclips videos are really top-notch, well researched, and always show respect and compassion towards the subjects. Thank you!
