======================================================
WHAT IS IT CIRCUIT BREAKER: (00:10)
A circuit breaker is an automatically operated electrical switch designed to protect an electrical circuit from damage caused by excess current, typically resulting from an overload or short circuit. Its basic function is to interrupt current flow after a fault is detected. Unlike a fuse, which operates once and then must be replaced, a circuit breaker can be reset (either manually or automatically) to resume normal operation.
MAIN PARTS OF CIRCUIT BREAKER: (00:49)
Body of MCB, Incoming Terminal, Magnetic Coil, Bimetal Strip, Arc Chute, Copper Braid, Operator ON/OFF
HOW DOES A CIRCUIT BREAKER WORK: (02:10)
The most important thing that Circuit Breaker is doing is to safely and reliably switches off electrical circuit during abnormal conditions of the network, that means over load condition as well as faulty condition
TYPES OF MINIATURE CIRCUIT BREAKER: (04:25)
MCBs are classified into three major types according to their instantaneous tripping currents. They are
Type B MCB
Type C MCB
Type D MCB

Many thanks you for Sharing. its so useful for me.
Circuit breaker A,B,C,D operating curves can be very critical in high inductance circuits like VFD's and other motor systems. Engineers, know your CB curves!

Informative vedio about MCB.
3:38 metal DEOFRMS? by heat
Yes, metal will deform on overload condition(due to heating, it will bend and mechanically trigger the lever)
👍 Great video 👌.
thanks
hi there, thanks for this awesome info. i would like to know how do you make such animations for components? like the electricity passing

شكرا لهذه المعلومات المهمة ...I would like to know which one suitible for hom
You mean what type of MCB is suitible for what
For home
Type B
Good work

@@chrvoje_engineering nice to see ur reply
Well explained need to pronounce clear audio
I would like to highlight two aspects:
1) The input terminal is always on top of the device and not on its bottom;
2) What you show in the animation could happen only for overload current. In case of short-circuit the opening dynamics is totally different.
Also, an physics observation, does not exist any current when a circuit is open (as shown on 2:30). There is only a potential difference between the input and output terminals.
Anyway, great animation and video! :-) ;-)
Mr Francesco, let m answer on your question?
1) Automatic fuses are two way (in most casses - schrack, eaton, schneider fuses), input can be up and down
2) short circuit is some kind of overload circuit (just much high), in one hand you are right, but I just want to show simply animation to people ubderstund, maybe in next video I will try to make even better :):):)
Fuses are different kind of device, they are reversible component. Circuit Breaker are not reversible. They functionality depends from where to where the power flows. In fact, on distribution lines (Medium voltage line) the protection are bidirectional. In any case, the switch that could be "up and down" will be totally different from which you shown in the video.
The working principle in case of short-circuit is totally different. In case of short-circuit the main effect is magnetic and not thermical as shown in the video.
Anyway, I rappreciate your work because the video and the presentation are really well done! ;-)
What is the lug temperature ratings of IEC BREAKERS?
It would be awesome if you could do one on RCB/O :) but you dont have to
terima kasih....
sabar steven
i like u r video tnq
best electrical
Hello, can these be used safely in a 110 Vac installation? If yes, would there be any effect on the current rating / operation of the breaker?
MCBs can be used for circuits up to the rated voltage, so yes a 240V MCB can be used in a 110V circuit. Same current ratings
Good

Wow 🤩
Thanks
informative.
clarify, you mentioned incoming terminal is in upperside. But in outerview it is in bottom side(LINE /1).
Does this reversal of connections makes any difference?
PrabiN PanikkaveedaN I'm wondering the same did you find the answer
no

Live terminal is down side
Half point terminal is up.
But some electrician says up or down. There is no matter....
Nice video "which software is used to get like these animation" pls tell me..............

Well done.If possible please explain about the breaking capacity of MCB and also the details printed on the the MCB.
Examples like B16,B10 what does it mean.
B is typo of fuse, you have also c and type of fuse, 16 or 10 or 6 represebt nominal current which fuse can disconnect. On MCp are printed various information like breaking capacity, world normes etc...
@@chrvoje_engineering Thanks
Can one use MCB in place of voltage stabilizers while using smart TVs, Computers, etc.
If yes, which type (B or C or D) would you suggest.
I work like Electric designer, when I make projects for TVs, computers I use C fuse
This one is of IEC (International Electrotecnic Conference) compatible device, with short circuit protection.
I dont understand? This video is shown on conference or?
Is the working principle similar for the short circuit protection as well?
yes, pretty similar
The principle of short circuit protection is not the same. The author was too shy to describe this defense.
Hello, your video is so good, I want to translate it into my own language so everyone can understand it, can I use it? many thanks!
Thank You 🙏🏻, But
Which type of MCB is used in our home?
Type B 60898 is generally used however type B 61009 are also becoming more common
Can you say which software you have used to make the video please

@@chrvoje_engineering I am requesting u again after 2 months . Atleast give a reply if u can't make video on requested topic .
@@yashchavan7384 Hi, sorry for late replay I can make this video, but now im making other video, why do you need?
Input supply is connected to the bottom of mcb, if I'm not wrong.
ji pa ji tusi sahi o .. eh just informative ved thi..
depends on the manufacturer of the MCB.
The upper side is usually used as output terminal and the bottom as incoming/input terminal.
Ur lecturing is absolutely amazingly gorgeous and that is least interesting thing about u
Could someone please explain to me in layman's terms where and why you would use an RCBO over a MCB? I'm not an expert, but im told an RCBO has the same safety features plus more than an MCB, so why not just use RCBOS everywhere? Or am I misinformed? Thank you in advance
Price is different.
I think the MCB is upsidedown in the animation. The arc will rise to the extinguisher because it's hot. In your animation the arc has to move downwards to the extinguisher.
