Wow...it's a shame about all the tree comments. The work that was done here is amazing. And I bet everyone who has commented leaves their lights on, has the water running when brushing their teeth, takes the car instead of walks and so on... Please relax and read the description, as if this person should have to explain. Themselves anyway...🙄🙄🙄
Super fun video and nice job all around- great attention to detail and workmanship. I'd have put real grass down tho- really hate to see plastic covering up the good earth. Thanks for sharing.

**Due to comments about the tree being cut down - ** It had to be cut down due to the fact that it was going to eventually fall on the neighbor's house. I did not get a good shot of the angle it was leaning at in the video. The previous owner of the house should have NEVER planted the tree there, it was too close to the concrete walls and it pushed them up and they will need to be rebuilt, plus the tree was allowed to grow basically at an angle and was going to demolish the neighbor's house at some point point. We did plant 4 citrus trees in its place in the back yard, plus a 3 year old ash tree in the front yard, not to mention the 40+ shrubs that were also planted.
Thank you for the video. Exactly what I was looking for as we are planning on building a pool (we are in AZ too). I don't think I saw this question already asked/answered in other comments but how long did it take them from start to finish?
Second post your pool looks amazing, great way to utilize such small space! Is that concrete around edges? the coping. Also what kind of tile going to pool and around patio?
Very nice. I still prefer real grass though, even if it isn't perfect. Also what do you do when the dog pees on the artificial turf? The artificial turf's also quite pricey, but I suppose it's a once off cost and no more lawnmowers and edge trimmers, fertiliser etc. Now you just have to vacuum your lawn once a week!!
If you aren't paying for the landscaping, it's not your place to bitch about what the OP did to the tree. It's the OP's yard, the OP gets to decide what they do there. Don't like it? Either pay for the work or shut it. Also, it's a video, it doesn't show what was there before the camera rolled or after it was done.
You killed the tree and pulled out the grass. Wow. You are quite a nature lover :))))) I had a leaning tree. I hired a team with the crane to transplant it. The tree is still alive and well and does not lean anymore in the new place. Of course killing is always cheaper and easier.
Anna Gray Anna Gray The tree had massive roots that were pushing the two walls over that it was next to. And again - we ended up planting something like 50 bushes and 4 citrus trees in its place.
Thanks for the reply! Objectively, your pool turned out rather nice and sure added a ton of value to the property. However, the tree could have been saved. The reason I left my comment is because I had same, even slightly worse, situation. My tree grew between and underneath TWO brick walls, destroying both of them. One of the walls was already cracked. Took almost two days just to extract the root ball. Had to use the crane to remove and transport the tree to a new spot. We had to trim a lot of the roots which were right underneath the walls. The tree was bare for the entire season, but I knew that it was alive and just busy growing new roots instead of the leaves. The tree has fully recovered and doing fine now. People indeed should not plant big trees next to houses and walls. My neighbor had to rebuild her basement because of the oak tree that her husband planted some 40 years ago. The tree tore thru the foundation, cracked the walls, and destroyed the basement. There are projected height and span of the root ball for all tree species. I don't know why people don't use that when planning tree plantings :)))
Good thing you cut the tree! Best decision ive made is cut all the trees that over grow and are in the verge of falling when we first moved into our house!
It took about 4 months, but there were breaks here are there where no work was being done for a bunch of different reasons. Permits from the city took some time, as well. The artificial turf was filled with pet fill and there is no odor, plus she goes to the bathroom on the rocks usually.
The pool itself was $32,500 and the landscaping was $12,000. Keep in mind, that takes us from a back yard that is mostly unusable during the summer to one we use every single day of the year.
I can't remember exactly, but the turf itself was about $9k which included bringing in multiple dump truck loads of sand and creating a 8" compacted base of it before the turf got laid down, nailed, and then filled with pet fill.
AWDL it had to go, sadly. It was going to fall on the neighbors house within the next year or so. It was also damaging the walls it was next to, it should have never been planted there.
Old concrete removal, then cleaning up after the concrete was poured to prep for landscaping which required renting another dumpster and the bobcat you see in the video.
A sloped back cut (and on top of that on a leaning tree!!) .... honestly, a 1 in a million chance that it didn't land on your head, FFS !!! Other then that, great looking pool!

Dos fallos, cargarse un árbol que no molestaba y no poner malla asfáltica o antihierbas debajo de la grava. En dos días con malas hierbas y para quitarlas mal porque irá todo a la hierba artificial y se estropeará.
Excellent job, and the dog looks very pleased
Dogs where there the whole time making sure things where getting done!
Those are good boiiis 👏🏽👏🏽
Best part of this footage: The dogs supervising throughout the process and the dog suntanning at the end.

Amazing garden. If I had a garden like that I would add some trees for a shadow to it.
It's a bit difficult to have a "garden" in phoenix.
True haha I love Central cali and it’s hot here I can imagine over there.

Nice one! Love the pool design.
Knew this was AZ just from the thumbnail, I guess you can always recognize home.

That was sooooooo cool. I wish i could do that someday
Pinche menso

Nice, I need a pool too.
why to cut the trees? the pool is short and the trees are in the edges of backyard. I don't understand
because it was falling into the neighbor roof
More sun

they prefer contaminants (cloro) and sun, good for cancer.
@@zero.-8011 there are solutions, transplanting the tree was first than u there.

and why had that beautiful tree been cut down 😢🤦🏻♂️
So that the machinery could get through

No.
7:49 the dog was smiling lol
The interesting question is how much did all this cost
About $50k all said and done

Why cut trees ?
No nature left....
I don’t understand, it’s “plastic” gras?
Here in Arizona, it's very hard to keep grass alive without using a lot of water, and water isn't cheap here.
What is the size of the pool??
14x21 not including the decking
