Air Jordan 4 Mars Restoration Tutorial with Vick Almighty

- "It's gotta be the shoes!" In today's video Vick Almighty restores a pair of Air Jordan 4 Mars, from their cooked state back to deadstock! This 2006 released sneaker was dubbed "Mars Blackmon" because of the caricature of him on the heel of the sneaker. Mars Blackmon was a fictional character who was spotted in many of Air Jordan Sneaker early commercials. It was those commercials that are credited for making sneaker culture and popularity what they are today. Fast forwarding from the 1980s to 2018, Vick takes on this trashed sneaker first with Reshoevn8r's 4 oz 3 Brush Sneaker Laundry System. Once the shoe is cleaned, he begins repainting the midsoles and removing the yellowing on the soles with his indoor set up. Hey, little tip I learned customizing myself... when you paint midsoles or touch up white uppers, I always find that the angelus flat white is just a tad too bright and doesn't match the factory color. You can actually paint on the Jacquard Airbrush paint and the opaqueness of the white matches much closer to the factory white, at least for Jordan's. The paint is also a lot thinner obviously so when you paint it on with a paintbrush it's actually much more flexible then Angelus yet the same durability. Just a little tip if you would like to test it out yourself.
Keep testing the limits and showing us what goes wrong that’s what I watch these for and to see the improvised skill💯💯🤘🏾🤘🏾 awesome work brother

I’ve done minor restorations, so I’m no expert. This is just a thought. What if you use fishing line to hold the shoe together; example like the plastic piece that broke off. You might be able to secure it with fishing line while in the wash. Also, if you place the shoe inside a pillow case while washing to avoid contact with the harsh washing machine drum. Just some thoughts. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us .

Do a restoration on beat up Yeezy 700’s. They have a painted on part on the midsole that easily rubs off and also the sole creases easily.
