How can i get an extra drive rivet? I installed two of these on my two winches and of course I did the first one correct and somehow when I did the next one a few days later I got the 3rd rivet pounded before I realized what I had done lol. Both came with a spare so I drilled out the three that were put in incorrectly and used the two spares leaving with one of course missing. The second one I put on was backwards of course just like the paperwork says not to do.
Hi John, No problem. You can order spare rivets from the replacement parts section of our website. factor55.com/product/replacementparts/ If you only need one please contact Sales@factor55.com with your request. Thank you for your business!
mark denison a press or even bench vice works awesome for the FlatLink products because they are flat on both sides. For UltraHooks, they have tapered bodies, it is still best advised to use a nail punch and hammer. Thank you for your comment and business!
Got my flatlink E coming in to 4wp this week ahead. Curious since they only offered grey and yellow if the rope guard can be ordered in various colors like anodized blue
Reel Hyper JLU the Rope Guards act as a front skid and also protect the exposed rope from UV and Trail/Road debris. The Rope Guards only come in anodized silver because if the Rope Guard gets damaged on a ledge etc the silver color hides scratches the best keeping the Rope Guard looking fresher longer. That being said, if the Rope Guard becomes too damaged you can simply drill out the aluminum rivets and install a new one. Each Rope Guard comes with an additional center sticker in the package so you can paint or powder coat the Rope Guard the desired accent color you’d like before installation and place the new sticker in the center to provide an OEM look. If you have any other questions feel free to give us a call at 208-639-1674 M-F 8-5pm MST or email sales@factor55.com Thank you for your business!
I pounded the heck out of the rivets and they still aren't flush with the rivet head. Used a 1/4" punch. It seems secure. They're definitely not backwards. Did I do something else wrong?
Simply because if you are using steel cable on your winch or your winch equipped vehicle will not be in any real aggressive terrain, like rock crawling, the Rope Guard is not necessary. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks!
@@Factor55 yes sorry i was mistaken on the finish. I believe i got it at 4wp. I got em drove in but they look like crap, no biggy. May drill em out and get another set of rivets at some point.

@factor55 any reason using a press would not be advised?

What size are the drive rivets? I got a guard but it's missing the hardware!
Email sales@factor55.com with your address and we’ll send you some.
Thanks!
So I must ask, why doesn’t the winch mount come with a rope guard??
Simply because if you are using steel cable on your winch or your winch equipped vehicle will not be in any real aggressive terrain, like rock crawling, the Rope Guard is not necessary.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Thanks!
I tried putting this on my red anodized flatlink and the rivets were waaaaay harder to drive in than what is shown here.
Where did you purchase your FlatLink from? Our red is a translucent powder coat not anodized. Please email sales@factor55.com for assistance.
Thanks!

I used my Bench top Arbor
Nice work! Saw the pics on IG! Thank you!
@@Factor55 i tired the 5lb hammer & pin. Didn’t work for me. So that was my next option.
How do you uninstall one?
instagram.com/reel/CfZASgNATRl/?
Very easy process. Center punch the rivet head and use a 3/16 drill bit and you should be able to get them right out.
