I’ve just bought a pristine used 2016 M2, can’t wait to try it on the 29th. Given the price difference of £330, it’s not even a contest for me (average golfer).
I have 2016 M1 and it is a beast still. I have outhit the SIM and TSI 3 against other golfers and they are amazed at how good it still is. This club is staying put for a long time.
Have all Titleist Irons, woods, even the bag! However, recently acquired a TM M2 2016 (remembering how I punished the ball with a mate's in Ireland back in 2017) and have to say it is now in the bag with a Titleist headcover to preserve the look! About 20 yards on my 915 D2 which I love! Moving me from 250 Ave, to 270! And it is fairway finding! So M2 all day long, for me!
Think what I would do is move your Titleist from the A1 setting to the C4 setting (+.75-degree loft & Flat .75-degree) and possibly also move the rear track setting to fully in the Toe. Your Average 2000rpm spin with the Titleist I think is too close to unstable - thus those few toe'y diving hook balls - tiny bit more loft should move it up 150rpms and either or both of the Flat setting or weight in the Toe (to delay club closure) should make that driver a lot better.. The M2 is a legend
Just ordered a 2016 M2 today, $219. Customized it.. shortened it from 45.75 in to 44.5 inches. Ordered a 14 gram weight on eBay and may have to add some lead tape to it get that Swingweight back up. Wont be able to test it out until next year after my hip replacement surgery later this year. Will put the M2 up against the G425 Max and Mizuno ST-Z (and maybe Callaway Epic Speed Max). if nothing else I’ll keep it as a backup if it doesn’t outperform the new drivers
Took me 30 yrs of golfing to bag my first ever Titleist club the tsi3 and this will be in the bag hopefully until i retire 😁 quiet simply it's the best looking performing driver i have ever played and i am a big callaway, taylormade fan. You need to sort the left miss out with the tsi3 Ali you always pull that when I've seen you hit it. Adjust the face to open and rear weight in the toe will give better results 👍 tsi3 all day long for me
You keep saying the TSi is more forgiving, but you missed the fairway more with it than with the M2. As far as distance, you can make the same argument there that it all comes down to the swing/strike. Throw in there that the larger looking M2 may give you bit of confidence standing over it, and I think it crosses the finish a nose ahead.
I'd have to go with M2 because our course has 20-30 yard fairways, and they are tree lined with no relief. Being a hero wrecks your card. Being accurate is the smart move.
I've noticed this in a couple videos but there is something very unnatural about the ball flight on your simulator. The ball seems to take off quite straight and then as the camera starts to move the ball starts hooking left.
I’m a little late to the party but if it were me I’d bag neither and use a 3 wood off the tee. It will help your scores. You put 30% of your tee shots into a water hazard that’s probably 60 yds left of your aiming point, in the real world you surely can’t live with that.
Think ts3 is too low spin for your swing speed. On those numbers I would put m2 in bag, to be honest with all drivers now and a few years back they all go same sort of distance give a few yards, to me it’s what you like the look feel of more than anything else. Roll on end of this month cannot wait to get back out on the course, got a sim driver which I love, BUT do like the look of the pxg proto driver! 🤦🏼♂️
Great video M2 is super popular and has still Got It. I gotta get something off my chest though - I can't get used to how your software (trackman?) shows ball-flight, the camera moves sideways with the ball moving forward and the line still trailing straight - bizarre.
What are the shaft differences? I've always felt fairways/first cuts win out over the water or other unplayable situations, especially when the distance is 5 to 10 yards. I'm surprised the new driver is the less forgiving one.
Forgot to say i gamed the m2 for 2 seasons and loved it just wasn't as consistent and accurate for me with the shafts i was fit for. Not much in the distance with tsi3 but looks and finding fairways the tsi3 wins all day long for my game
Sell your trackman, put the $ towards a GC Quad and the quality of your videos + results will increase exponentially. Especially when comparing drivers indoors.
Not fair comparaison I saw your number with the last video with the m2 and you we’re miles away I think subconsciously ou un subconsciously you trick the number
Titleist all day long. I can’t wait to demo the ts3 the upgrade shafts do make it very expensive tho. So hopefully the srixon or mizuno will come up trumps!
Taylormade M2 all the way. The other day testing against SIM2 you hit the M2 better, apply those results against this TSI3 and suppose you didn’t hit the TSI3 quite as good ...the outcome would be reversed. Your used to hitting the Titleist driver more often recently as it’s your gamer. M2 is a proven performer and for the price gouging on Titleist I can buy an M2 driver, 3 and 5 wood all for the price of a TSI3 driver. Or less. Enjoy your reviews.

Curious, is it still in play?

What was the result?
Thanks for the more complete numbers
The thing i notice is the considerably lower Std Dev. of the spin on the TSI3 compared to the M2. This is where the advancements have been made!!!
Fine margins now, but better
M2’s still The KING!! 👑
If I had to buy one of these at a fitting & hit them same as you I would go with the TM M2. More accurate & way less money.

Accuracy is more down to club face and swing path so user error, consistent ball speed is the forgiveness
accuracy.. cause i already have good distance.. great vid.. thanks..
The M2 was longer when you did it in the M2 V Sim2. Had you did all three in the same test it would have been the M2.
M2 is in my bag for last 4 years fairway finder.
Settling down with a brew to watch this ☕👍
Did you enjoy it? The brew that is.😂
Distance is always the winner for me. You can work on accuracy harder too work on hitting it further but not impossible (Bryson).

I’d go the distance. Accuracy can be worked on but it’s hard to put more distance in a driver
Absolutely, all about the 💣💣💣💣💣

If money is not a consideration I'm with you Titleist in the bag!
Imagine though getting at least 5 years out of the Titleist, becomes great value

I can still buy the M2 for $299 in Australia against $900 plus, guess which one wins😎
Sell your trackman, put the $ towards a GC Quad and the quality of your videos + results will increase exponentially. Especially when comparing drivers indoors.
Ahhh! That's a bit harsh! But I guess there is always one!
Those M2 drivers are getting more expensive on Ebay :)
Scarcity is a great thing
I still game the m2. Best driver of all time
Not fair comparaison

I think subconsciously ou un subconsciously you trick the number
Just slightly different ball striking
You're hitting the TSI3 well Ali, are u sure u don't have a howling right to left gale on that simulator 😉😉
Afraid not 😂

Thanks Wes
Would I spend £500 on the TSI3....no!
Nobrainer... m2 back in bag....😂.. for an average golfer because 70% cheaper ....
by the way.... Great Song....
M2 all day long
You hit the M2 300 yards when you went agains the Sim2. Now your hitting it 280. Sim2 would have won with those results
Different day, that's why I don't always use old numbers
Having a guess if the m2 wins does that mean u wasted £500 for nothing?lol or is the tsi worth that £500 tag?👍
I think any driver that can last in the bag becomes good value
