And so Responding is the result of pure passion for the genre and not a cash grab. Sadly the reputation of this genre has been very negative with good reason but in turn has overly complicated the development of Responding and extended the time required to develop, yet we are not going anywhere as throughout all these years we stayed independent and have an absolutely amazing community behind the project!
I hope it will be not only a Flashing Lights clone. And the fact that the alpha is sold very expensive before the early access starts on steam.....is suspicious.

Looks like a combination of Police Simulator: Patrol Officers and Flashing Lights. Surely needs a ton of work as there are already so many glitches in this footage and it looks like a chore to play with a gamepad.
Try to push out a crowd-funding platform where we can donate so y'all can hire more people to reduce the stress. So the game can be polished before release. 💖

Being a cop irl who primarily enjoys simulator games, it irks me to see the half-ass, cash grab simulators that have been flooding the market. I can confidently say that they're all trash. I can't stress this enough: graphics are nice to have, but please focus on the fundamentals and mechanics over everything else. Things like making sure vehicles pull over in a sensible position (or add a way to make them move if they pick a bad spot), being able to open your driver's side door before getting out, smooth animations, good physics, reliable backup/AI etc go a LONG WAY. Functionality is key! Take all the time you need to release a polished game. Optimize the hell out of it. And listen to your community! 🙏 Good luck, guys.

It's a game I really want to buy when it's released. I think it would be great to implement an intelligent AI support system, various reporting andl additional elements, constant updates, and excellent optimization of various vehicles and equipment. I had the beta on my last computer but I built a new computer but when I sign into my account it wants me to buy the game. I can't seem to find the recipt in my email either, is there anything we can do to maybe look at my account and see if we can restore this purchase. Is the Explorer scaled correctly? It's height seems to be off because the real one is about 6 feet tall and the character seems quite small besides it.

It looks like it will either stop development with no refunds for donations or early access. Or it will be almost unplayable when it drops. Or the full release will basically be a graphics preview. But you seem respectable. So good work so far, those are only my concerns. And I frankly hope you prove me wrong.

Due to the tainted industry I only show real live in-game footage and no cinematic trailers to give a realistic perception of what to expect, bugs and issues are also shown in every video. This is just my own ambition project, and thankfully to the incredible community we've build I've been blessed to do this for nearly 10 years.
I just want to chime in and say how its rare for any small dev to acknowledge how their project is being percived without getting defensive or giving a typical PR-like response. As well as showcasing their game without editing out "bad" moments nor overhyping / overpromising what their game might be. Because of that, I am more inclined to pick this game up over other early access projects in similar state. In any case, I hope you continue to work on this even if public updates are infrequent.

I could've rushed it to a somewhat finished product years ago but it's always been a dream game that nobody was willing to make and so I'm not willing to cut corners on it. I've been full time dedicating my time to this for nearly 2 years, our supporters get exclusive development updates on our discord to keep them in the loop!

Yea I took a chance and purchased it Jan 5 2025 and it’s really unplayable. 😢 it still needs a lot of work. There is potential to be better than police simulator as you can write reports, etc but the interaction is very wonky and the map is unfinished. To interact with anything it’s very weird. Camera views are wonky and even shooting at someone is very in accurate. AI is unresponsive, AI interactions are unclear……I may have wasted my money on the hopes that this would pan out. 😮

Flashing lights isn't awful but it's super clunky and the dev focuses on making you pay for new DLC vehicles vs making an actual good game
