I love how you explain the fundamentals of Exosisters. I have finally made my first draft of the deck to test out. So watching give me a good understanding of their gameplay
been playing the deck for a few weeks now and have absolutely loved it. managed to reach diamond on masterduel within two days, so much appreciated on the guide my dude. however I think you’re severely underestimating just how good carpedivem can be. i was stuck in tier 3 plat until I started searching out carpedivem with my searchers (of course this is after I can guarantee a set returnia before passing). as long as you have both carpedivem and returnia set, you can almost guarantee not only 4 banishes, but a prohibition/omni negate on your opponents turn. just chain magnifica and tag her out for mikailis in response to your opponent when they search for something in the deck (or send something from deck to GY). upon resolution, use carpedivum and declare whatever they just searched for so that they can’t use it 😂 this combo really propelled me to diamond real quick after getting stuck in plat for like 10 games.
@@eugeniodasbroasI just run 1 cause its searchable and the opponent's tend to target your face down trap cards if they dont have harpies feather duster or lightning storm so it's rather safe unless you get a backrow wipe 😅

I noticed! Very interesting and Nibiru is certainly still a "I hope they don't have it" feeling card lol. So I get why this worked for them, especially if they were confident it was the only way they'd be stopped.
I have question on the ratio for Irene and Sophia. I know they are by far least impactful but why 2,1 also thoughts on Armaments. I find returnia better going first
What's up, Godzilla. So the ratio is the way it is because, quite frankly, Irene is only played to be a Pax & Vadis target. You basically have to play her. Sophia is just the better version of her, so 2 is fine since you just straight-up draw a card. Why I think Arment is underrated because, unlike Returnia, it can 1-card XYZ. Returnia requires a sufficient amount of Exosisters on the field. Arment is great if your play gets stopped or end up only having access to one Exosister. It also works very well paired with the trap cards!
I believe this is format dependent. It should be considered and not as downplayed as I made it out to be during this video. However, as I stated, the more predictable the format (aka - what hand traps are and aren't being played, how many 'meta' decks are there topping) the more potential Carpedivem has.
@@BenCappp makes sense. Thanks! I'm getting back into the game after dropping it when links came out and the aesthetics and it being antimeta drew me to it. Great tutorial man, keep it up!
@@MyNadaquehacer Awesome! Glad to hear it! I took a break around the time Pendulums became insane and when I was getting back into YGO, I enjoyed Exo a lot! Hope you do too 👍
I know it late but an attack involving an exosister while caperdivium is on the field Letts you attack your opponents back row, useful when going against Metta decks that have continuous spells and traps. Also adds a layer of protection to exosisters that can't protect themselves from effects from monsters from the graveyard
@ 27 minutes, you can use the 2nd aren't to make Sophia into the mikailis search a vadis and make the asophiel on your opponents turn or search the returnia and still get 4 banishes that turn. If your opponent controls a monster ss from grave
I feel dumb asking here but I'd been looking for an answer for a little bit. Martha's restriction "You cannot Special Summon monsters the turn you activate this effect, except "Exosister" monsters." This means you can't even special summon non exosister monsters before summoning Martha right? I mean you can't summon martha after going into a non-exosister xyz right?
Hey there! How you interpert it is correct - You cannot special summon Martha and use her effect during any turn you've special summoned a monster other than an Exosister. That does indeed mean once you use Martha's effect, you can only special summon Exosister monsters for the rest of the turn. Hope this helps!
You can use Martha with xyz on field, it's just once you summon her you're locked into summoning *only* exosister xyzs from extra deck for rest of turn, so keep in mind if you want to bring out a zeus, for example
Hey there! So, the main one you'd look to play in addition to the Exosister XYZ is definitely Divine Arsenal Zeus. Other than that, the main Rank 4's are Evilswarm Exciton Knight, Tornado Dragon, and Number 41: Bagooska the Terribly Tired Tapir. Honestly, the Exosister XYZ's a great and I rarely need to summon anything else haha
Yo! So, if there is not an Exosister Elis left in the Deck, you are unable to use Martha's effect to special summon herself. You basically always need to have an Elis in deck, and must play Elis if you plan to play Martha.
Yo, Returnia is different from Magnifica. Magnifica states special summoning an Extra Deck monster. Returnia states "XYZ Summoning" - "Using Monsters you control" so they have to satisfy the requirement of the XYZ monster. HOWEVER, if you have Martha, and only Martha, face up on the field, you meet the requirement to activate Returnia and just by banishing a card in the opponent's graveyard, you'll be able to activate Martha's effect and XYZ summon using just her. All the other Exosisters require the OPPONENT to move a card from the graveyard, while Martha just needs one moved by any means. So no, you cannot summon an XYZ monster with just 1 Exosister on the field. You WILL be able to activate the card and banish something, but that's all you'll be able to do. Hope this helped.
@@BenCappp Thx bro. This vid has helped a lot btw. Never really knew what to do if I didn't have Martha in hand. Also, if Martha gets ash'd, does she remain in the hand or is she still summoned?
@@yertius Awesome! The Martha will stay in your hand after Ash resolves. So at that point, to at least make a Rank 4 XYZ, you'd need Elis, Stella, or Pax.
Hmm.. That's a very good question. I think the deck is best competitive when flooded with extremely impactful cards - such as Pot of Prosperity, Lightning Storm, Dark Ruler no More, Triple Tactics Talents, etc. That being said, it can end up requiring more $$ to keep up with the meta. That being said, because it's able to perform so well with such a small engine of Exosister cards, it can always make room for what cards are most effective against the meta, and therefore, keeping it more relevant even before they possibly get support. So I personally believe it has a place in the future. It's won enough tournaments in the Tearlament/Spright saga so that says something.
I'ma be honest I hate Martha, she locks me out of summoning Zeus, Locks me out of experimenting with other decks (have to play pure Exosister and not a version of the deck with a magistus engine) and she ruined the pseudo realistic look the Exosisters had by having pink hair and a purple uniform.
