    I use a 5 in 1 as a background all the time! I have 5’ x 6’ reflector that makes the perfect clean background for standing portraits!

    Excellent video, Pye. Thanks for sharing your expertise. The method to isolate a patch tool selection is new for me, and really useful. One small addition I would do is extend the background a tad on the right side, using content aware crop. I use this often to give room for post printing framing.

    greaet stuff - do wonder why use the scrim of the reflector rather than say just the white cover?

    Perfect voice for narration. You seem to have a willing model to work with too. This is probably the video I needed to motive me to get back into photography since 2015. My way of saying great video.

    fill/ negative fill, check✔️...im surfin on the same wavelength 😋.
    2:30 ...means the quality of the profoto gear even the packaging is stable enough for that 😚.
    7:15, if there is no neutral or white tones, pick the white of the eyeballs :)
    as always...great quick tip!

    Fill would be from white walls that can bounce light on the other hand darker walls like black will be a negative fill by bouncing the color back at the subject.

    New version of lightroom doesn't show split toning. Now uses color wheels. It would be good to show a video on that. Thanks

    So the reflections of the photographer and the lighting in the eyes are of no concern?

    • @bryang4856
      @bryang4856 4 года назад +1

      No way! The catch light is what sells. There are photographers who have signature shapes to their catch lights. Peter Hurley, for example.

    So the door in the house is not positioned for sunlight to enter the house, then what?
