Hecz is so underrated. Pretty much single handedly created not only many successful Optic teams on different games, but also a marketable brand, probably the best known competitive gaming brand outside of LOL/DOTA. All of this from a small little youtube sniper group. Great business mind and great commitment. Kudos Hecz
+Alex Manolopoulos Single handedly? Pretty sure its because Nadeshot brought fame to the brand. And he did not create optic it was given to him by the original owner.
He just made all the moves in all the right places and was very lucky to get youtubers like nade and scump. Plus getting the team handed to him when it was still small.
Wamp-Wamp Definitely true, credit to Nade and Scump also. But I think both of them, particularly Scump, are widely recognised as being 2 huge figures of the e sports world, not just as players, but as faces of the franchise, along with Big T.
Where as, I don't think Hecz is appreciated anywhere near as much by the general fanbase, thats why I said he is "underrated". I take your point though that others had a hand in it.
I just feel like Hecz had the vision to see where Optic could go when he took it over, and really kick started the drive to get the organisation where it is today- thats what I meant by "singlehandedly", it was his decision and motivation etc etc.
Also- Optic was nothing but a small youtube group of guys who made some clips when it was given to him. Thats why it was GIVEN to him, cause it was worth next to nothing when Hecz took over.
This has slowly become one of my favorite youtube channels. Love the inside look to OpTic Gaming. What makes OpTics brand better then the rest is the relationship we get to have with the members. All the vlogs are amazing. Also much respect to Hecz for not only being a great owner, but always looking after the guys.
