Little mama I think I need to come eat your cooking. It always looks yummy! The cast iron skillets last so long. I even cook on them over a campfire. The Colton and Chloe are growing up so fast. Shawn cracks me up. Make your self dizzy lol
I have cast iron that is over 140 years old, belonged to my grandparents. My grandmother, my mother and me have washed those things with soap and hot water. We don't even oil it often and they cook wonderfully.
We lost a cast iron Dutch Oven that one of my mom’s ancestors made it got “lost” along with some of my dad’s memorabilia from WWII when we moved from Connecticut to Pennsylvania.🙂💖🐈🐈⬛
Can I just say that Lil’ Mama feeds those babies so well- dates? I’m so impressed! Sean waiting for his “ride” was so funny! So much fun for the children and the dogs at the track- nice wholesome living. And… a yummy dinner! Thank you for sharing xo
I wash my cast iron skillets too. I dry them off and then I sit them on the stove eye for just a couple minutes to make sure it's dried off good. I don't even put oil back in mine. Mine never rust up either. I've had mine for gosh...over 30 years now. They are hard on your wrist though. All the food ya'll cooked looks really good. Glad the kids and the doggies got to run around at the track and have so much fun. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Oh my goodness Shaun open that can of worms from all the cast iron “experts” 😂😂😂 I wash mine too, with soap and water if it’s really stuck on. Usually though a quick wipe and I’m good to use it again or I use the old hot pan hot water steam bath. My cast iron was my life savor, I had gone through so many of the “non-stick pans” which always stick on me.
I am so with you on the cast-iron. I have been needing new cookware for probably a good six months now and my search for something quality has been exhausting. I do have one cast-iron pan that needs to be cleaned up so I can use it and then I will probably make the switch. Will need a Dutch oven though too
