  • While the series is named Gryphon Manor, it is not just about the manor. In fact, the series will eventually become less and less about the manor… and while that point is still far off in the future, I take the first step with this episode… where I explore the nearest existing village and spend some time thinking about it's backstory and history and how I might integrate it into my greater world plan.

I would recommend the Liberty's Villagers mod, makes villagers a bit more "smarter", especially in pathfinding, but we all know this is Minecraft and how much it adheres to Murphy's law. If I'm not wrong it allows to correctly replant modded seeds, though I'm not sure with "special" plants such as Farmer's Delight tomato vines or rice stalks. I think it would be nice so you can expand more on different villages relying on different food for sustenance. I also like how Armorer heals Iron Golems in range, and Cleric heals other villagers and you (I kept getting jumpscared by them healing me as they would throw potions). I'm not sure if it's already in your modlist. That being said, will you consider adding a mod that actively prohibits spawning of hostile mobs in a certain radius?

Thank you for the tip. I will look at Liberty's Villagers.
I would consider any mod, but I already have one that does that. It is the Magnum Torch mod: www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/magnum-torch-forge
I have magnum torches set up at the ground level of the estate and again at the workshop level. It has helped immensely... though I still occasionally get an Enderman or two who spawn nearby and eventually come to visit.
