Check out HULU if you can. They run at least 2 seasons. I have been binge watching it lately! But yeah I agree with you. It is still an amazing show, just wish it gets remastered into HD.
Great show!! Great to see families still working together to improve their lives and the lives of those around them, and the environment! Gotta love Mike Rowe!
I love your focus on working-class folks and family-owned and operated small businesses. It's great to see you still "on the air" with your inimitable style and presentation, Mike!
Love this episode, much respect to this family making a living doing what they love and doing it together. I live 5 minutes from the space center and I've been fishing on that lake many times and the amount of tilapia in the lake is absolutely ridiculous. Job well done. Everyone keep yourselves and love ones safe and healthy and remember to SMILE 😊
I have seen these Dudes & Momma many times, when I am fishing and at gas stations, all around my home county of Polk. I literally live less than 15 miles from Hancock, and know it well. Kudos to Mike. Ain't know way in hell, I am wading in Hancock. Ever! And I am a 51yr Native Floridian & Native American, Muskogee. I ain't scared of any man, not one. But there are some big gators in and around Hancock. BIG AF! Props to the Wadleys.
I know what you mean. I don't like deep black water. There's a little lake in the Okefenokee no way in hell would I get in that water. Everglades NP bays too. Uh uh.
She’s clearly doing this for the camera. No one that over weight is working as hard as she puts on. The camera’s showed up, and she’s pretending to be at the front of the operation. I doubt she ever goes out on that boat in the way she does in this show.
@@asfdasdful My mother raised 5 kids, went to medical school, and was a bodybuilder/Personal trainer while I was growing up. Nice try though. That’s a “fat women” not a “strong women”. And she’s putting on a show for the cameras.

haha, i saw that episode where he shot the mechanical deer, one of the best yet. the look on his face when he realized that was a fake deer....priceless. haha
Mike Rowe is a respectful person. 20ish years I can remember watching him, he goes all in. Doesn't always win, but no one does. And he does do the dirty jobs 100% for the day. Some jobs I'd have said "nope" so fast. But respect where it's due.
Hey Mikey! I liked it! I liked it a lot. As you cast your net wide to catch all that banter and family comedy. Another great story of family life and some fishy moments. Kudos to your crew and you too Mikey... Cheers, Mate.
This show has to go as long as Mike Rowe can’t continue. Thanks to Mike and his crew. Not to forget the great people he finds and explores. Just a wonderful show. Education comes from all areas. Thanks Mike and Crew.
What a great show! Not only did you highlight a way to do eco-friendly fishing but you also highlighted the need to do so with an invasive species. Bravo. I loved how they threw back the species that were struggling. And you did it all in your famously entertaining way😉 good on you.
What an awesome family! Hard work, lots of yelling, and even more laughter! I might develop a taste for Talipa now that I know there is wild caught Talapia.
There are so many Yankees in Florida these days - a fair number of 'em ----yankees - that on TV at least you almost never hear southern speech in Florida. I'm a southern boy, and I am *so* happy to hear it. 🤠
I really liked the bit at the end explaining plecos and invasive tilapia. They are out there properly trying to improvr their local waters. Its a dirt job
Mike Rowe is an American classic. This guy has entertained me for so many years. Thanks Mike for your videos, your perspective, and your willingness to show what it takes to do things that people think they’re too good for.
Down in Floreeda where momma's gonna diddle the dip net with Doodle and Dandy, Mike gets schooled in fishing and physics. "Duh" was my favorite line, and the only one that translates well into English.
Damn, she's not playing !! You move when she blows or she will eat you up! And not in a good way. But her men respect her and would probably do anything for her as well. I had no idea there were wild tilapia. I won't eat farm raised fish. So I stopped eating tilapia . It's really good tasting fish. Good show, Mike.
Tilapia are taking over lake Seminole as well, I’ve heard the flint flooded in 94, which flooded a fish farm up river, then the tilapia at the farm got into the river and down to the lake, I’ve seen some that probably weigh 5-6 lbs, and they make huge beds 3 foot across, there’s a good number of people who thankfully bow hunt them
Mike Rowe coming to my town hell yeah polk representing thanks for entertainment been fishing this lake since I was a child big gators in there for sure!!!
Disney is much too expensive now, and I'm even talking seasons passes because I live in Edgewater FL, less than an hour away. Too woke and expensive. Now this adventure - I don't get in any water that has big sharks and alligators. Go Mike! You definitely have some kahonas! And I see so much of your mom in you. I heard you reading some of her book and I was hooked. Now don't go near those gators! Safer option is catching shrimp in nets off the boat - the first time I had to pull one's head off it hadn't been on the ice long and that barb got me good! Always make sure they are cold enough in ice so when you snap their heads off they can't barb you back LOL! God Bless you!
That poor bastard trying to type my closed captions to where the sentences make sense, but its impossible. Love his effort though. Reminds me of my family in WV, great God-loving people who'd do anything for their neighbors
As a resident of Polk County Florida, I can say that there a “mess” of gators in Lake Hancock. Wonder if Mike caught lunch with Sheriff Grady Judd? And I must say, in defense of our county, we don’t all talk like that!
We live in Winter Haven very close to Lake Hancock and you people are crazy. Do you know how many alligators are in that lake? You couldn't pay me to get in that water. I can't believe you and whole crew are standing there in alligator infested water like there's nothing to worry about.
Lake Hancock used to be the #1 most gator populated lake in Florida, through decades of hunting it has dropped to #3. No way in HE!! would I get in that lake. My dad pulled a 13 foot 2 inch gator out of there in 89 that was missing close to 2 foot of it's tail. And for those wondering, the infamous big alligator that is always pictured going through the golf course, that is just a few miles from lake Hancock.
I'm so happy an essential part of my childhood (Mike Rowe) is still here for me as an adult ❤
oh my god.this is yuanshen(原神启动!)

ready to see him clean gator pools again
Kudos to the Wadleys, and Mike of course, for helping to rid the lake of those invasive fish!❤✌👍
Nice to see that there are still some Native Florida families working to save our way of life... thanks Mike ❤❤

I believe they are the descendants of the bank robbers from The Goonies. I was momentarily waiting for a pirate ship to show up.
Mad respect for these people!
I hope this video gets this family more business
My goodness, that laugh... I don't even need to timestamp one of them, y'all already know which ones, and who from 🤣 🤷🙈 ...

Two takeaways from this video for me...
1) Wild Tilapia are taking over the lakes.
2) Junior Wadley is whooped!
