Great to hear the inside stories from someone who's competed at that level. Especially interesting to hear about what it was like in earlier times when we didn't have all the technology we have now. Chris is a great story teller. Probably not a difficult guy to interview, as he's so personable and enjoys telling stories.

Chris has always been the best cycling story teller, including tactics. Plus, definitely one of the biggest cycling talents to ever come out of the U.S.

I am so glad you had Chris Horner on your channel as it gives him more chances to self promote. And anyone who does not agree with this is a knucklehead. When you next have him on could you ask him how many teams are offering gouts of money to be their new Directeur Sportif. I am always impressed by his knowledge of the race after he watches it happen. Truly amazing how he understands the riders glaring mistakes while sitting on the chesterfield. And what knuckleheads the current directeur sportifs of all the major teams are when they don't perform their duties up to the stratospheric ability Chris could.

Love your stories Chris from your experiences at the Tour of Flanders. Put a big smile and warm feelings in my heart because as a previous amateur rider I have had some simular after race experiences - even though we are not comparable on all other condition terms etc. 😀👍

Thanks for providing yet another platform for the legendary Chris. And yes, he is the best storyteller. None of the ex-riders come even close to how he presents his logic and wisdom. I keep saying, any of these team owners who need a new managers are KNUCKLEHEADS, if they don't go after Chris ;-)

Wout crashed in Dwars door Vlaanderen, nasty crash. Bettiol was looking good but punctured his way out of the race and Philipsen was involved in the crashed and apparently broke his collarbone. Ronde van Vlaanderen is one of my favourite races on the calendar, can't wait for it. Thanks for the video!

Van Baarle, van Aert, Laporte, Stuyven, De Lie, Vermeersch, Narvaez, M. Pedersen, Kirsch, Tratnik, Benoot, Girmay, Lampaert are all sick or crashed hard in the last races... Many of those will not even participate anymore at the Tour of Flanders....
Matthews can't find his best legs in these cobble races.... Lazkano is still not in his best shape, Garcia Cortina is coming back from a injury, Kristoff is not recovered 100% yet from sickness, Bettiol and Powless are question marks.... Madouas hasn't been in shape for the entire season, Pithie is not on the startlist.... Meeus and Degenkolb are aiming for Paris-Roubaix. ... Pogacar does ride another program, thus not present...
Thus that leaves us van der Poel ......
and than lightyears after him guys like Jorgenson, Wellens, Küng, Trentin, Mohoric, Wright, Naesen, Gautherat, Pjilipsen, Kragh Andersen and Asgreen....
Sorry but even as a Flandrien I am not that hyped for the Tour of Flanders anymore this season.... 😔🦋

I totally agree. I was so exited. Visma with wout and matteo. But i had my eyes more on Lidl Trek, who looked so strong. I really think they could have put pressure on MvDP. And then of course throw Wout in there. It would have been fireworks. So sad for the race. I actually cried when they crashed. Now it is MvDP for graps. But i put my money on Matteo for podium. easy bucks, great odds. I hope to be in flanders or P-R next year. I watch all races on TV since Mid 80 s, but have only been physically present at the tour, which is actually a blasphemy for a cycling fan like me. But exiting times to be a cycling fan. Something has happened the last 5 or so years. Almost all races are exiting to watch these days with so many great talents and such aggressive and opportunistic racing. i fell very bleesed and hope that race organicers will make the races more safe for the raiders. It wont make the races less exiting the way they are racing these days

Sure, his boss blew a fuse and did apologize for it but no question that Julian is getting the big bucks these days as appearance fees and that can cause a mighty wave of frustration within a team that used to rule the school at one-day races. Something has taken something out of Julian over the last couple of seasons and not fair to compare but the optics make Julian look like Peter Sagan in his final years where wait, what exactly is happening with him, he shows up but doesn't really do anything anymore. And it would be epic to see Julian surprise everyone with a big win this year before he moves on to lead the team previous led by Peter until his retirement from the road at the end of last season.

Philipsen has absolutely zero chance of winning here, it is MVDP vs the stronger teams.
MVDP raced GW like he raced in his earlier road racing days, spending too much energy when not necessary. But I think he was well aware of that, he just wanted the training effort and did not care too much about not winning, it would have been a nice bonus. He has been racing a lot s,after in recent years, and he will do so again in RVV.

Phillipsen isn't riding Flanders I think. Don't agree with MvdP so called horrendous tactics. He just didn't have the legs and end ups second.
