Hi, I like yo video, brief & full of relevant information. Yo speach & smile r warm. I wanna take my FPGEE this year, & I'm grateful for these highlights
Hello, thanks for this informative video. Let me ask you one question, can I be allowed to take these exams if I have a four years of pharmacy bachelor degree ?
Hi april, I’m from india and I’m currently half way to my b.pharm(degree), but the problem is degree here is 4yr and according to US laws the graduation program should be Atleast 5yr program, so now what should i plan, prepare for masters in pharmacy or is there any other way to get lic number with just 4yr pharmacy graduation???
Hi April, thank you for sharing such valuable information. As you mentioned after passing the Fpgee exam there is an internship to take and i would like to know how hard was it for you to find one, and what are the steps you took to find it? thanks in advance.
Hi! About my internship, I did it a the hospital where I worked as a pharmacy tech, and also I found an independent retail pharmacy where they allowed me to be an intern. It really is about networking, you just have to find people and network
Hi April! From the Philippines as well and planning to practice in the US. How about the visa did you acquire a working visa or do you have a relative to petition you?
miss April i have questions about my gpa I have a 3.4 GPA and i was wondering if i can still become a pharmacist with that as a junior and I am afraid I might not make it can you help me get my dream job i don't know how to become one :(
Hi April! thanks for the video! I am about to start my application for fpgee , i want to know what to say to the school what documents i needed. or maybe they are already aware of these docs? i dont know how to say it 😅

Hi I am Chamini qho is currently residing in Houston, Tx. I have obtained 4year bachelor of pharmacy degree from a university outside the USA. I want to know am I eligible to get the FPGEE. If not i would like to get your advice toknow what is the shortest and cost effective pathway to fulfilled thequalification the pharmacy board here required ? Thanks
@@PharmacistApril Thank you for your prompt response. I went through the website and it is mentioned "Pre-pharmacy coursework completed at the equivalent of a US college or university level and required of all students for admission may be considered in determining minimum curriculum length requirements." However, I am still in a doubt what they mean by pre-pharmacy
Since it requires lot of time and money to complete the Pharm.D, is not there any other way to fulfilled the requirement of the board? I am grateful if you could provide me more info and guide me in this regard. Your assistance is highly appreciated.

Hi April, i did my pharm d degree in my country and have don equivalent in the US, now i have also a masters degree from a US university. Do i need to do tofel and send my original document ?thanks
Very informative! Thank you. May I ask if you did 4-year Bachelors of Pharmacy in the Philippines? I'm a bit confused if FPGEE REQUIRES 5-year Bachelors?
I did the 4-year program initially then after couple years I went back to school to for additional one year at that time it was clinical pharmacy program. I think now some universities offer pharmD program in the Philippines which is 6 years. FPGEE requires at least 5-year curriculum.
@@PharmacistApril do you think USA will provide us that kind of education that will qualify us for the 5-year requirement? Rather than add one more year doing it in the Philippines?
@@PrincesSarah161 Hi Sarah, if you'd like to be a PharmD Maryland state offers education for international pharmacists - this will make you one step ahead as far as competitiveness and qualifications in your pharmacy career however you will still need to have FPGEC (which means you have to take the TOEFL and FPGEE). According to their website all international pharmacists will be placed as first year regardless of previous experience and no financial aid is available. Here is the link:www.pharmacy.umaryland.edu/academics/pharmd/international-pharmacist-applications/ Unfortunately to answer your question based off what I know (and my research) minimum requirement is to have a 5-year or more as a starting point. If you are a BS Pharmacy grad like me I think it is wiser to complete the extra year (Clinical Pharmacy) or two (if you want to be a PharmD) in the philippines..otherwise you would have to start over again here if you want to get the american education and I am not opposed to that if you have the resources $$$$.
Hi you mentioned that I texsas u apply for naplex directly after having FPGEE, so u dont do intership??? Is there other states like this also?? And for 1500 hr intership, how much month u need to finish?! Paid or non?
Hii mam do we need to seperately apply for internship after fpgee or else after qualifying the fpgee would they only provide internship licence for our intership
Hello April! I am in Houston too. I graduated 2017 in Venezuela. Just got my translations and I am ready to send them to the ECE. Do you recommend working to have some experience before taking the FPGE? and I would love to know some -places I can apply here in Houston, thank you!!!
Hi! I recommend that you get it out of the way - take the exam as soon as possible because u have more exams to take. It’ll enable you to become more versatile because once you have the FPGEC certification you can apply for NAPLEX, or while preparing for NAPLEX you can also apply for pharmacist intern, and work as an intern while studying for NAPLEX, u learn from books and experience. If u work as a tech things that u are able to do and learn are very limited as opposed to being an intern (intern usually is not paid).
Why would you want to?! The corporations have a monopoly on the drug business and are squeezing out the independent pharmacies. Go try to pick up a prescription at any corporate pharmacies and it’s a shit show with a different pharmacist every time I go there because they are constantly quitting because it’s so bad and they are all now closing at 6 during the week and closed over the weekend.
