That snake is harmless, non venomous brown house snake. Very useful in controlling rodents and other pests. Those men lied to you, hakuna nyoka hufufuka coz its an animal like any other. For the fluid, probably walipasua mayai yakiwa kwa mwili. The short tail indicates its a female.
