    His overtake in the pitlane is actually very impressive, he knew exactly what was and wasn’t allowed, and applied it to a race where he was sure he wouldn’t get a penalty for it.

      Until he did it, I had no idea it's actually written into the rule book. The relevant entries state you may overtake on pit entry & pit exit under the safety car, but not on pit lane.

    he is qualified for near every position the FIA could ever open up, all the teams would be happy to have him. of course he does not have to work with his finances settled for life, but he could and everyone in the sport would benefit.

    one of the biggest crimes in F1. is how Ferrari handled such a legend. As a nerd as Vettel is, he said as it is..... How Ferrari treated Vet..... just an absolute crime. So much disrespect makes the blood boil. They got their young boy Leclerc, but the Spanish wizz kid Sainz has proven his muscle. I wish Ferrari the absolute best from the bottom of my heart, but dang..... big black afro stain on the hot red of Ferrari 's heart will not be forgotten.

    Vettel until second half of 2017 was unstoppable. Better than anyone else at the time. People mention Ricciardo in 2014, but honestly, he was on the way out of Red Bull at that stage and was beating Ricciardo until the Ferrari contract. I honestly think he wasn't the same after 2017 Singapore crash. He would have led the WC by quite a distance if he won that race

      Yeah, what a shame that he didn’t get a title with Ferrari, but nobody can wipe out the amazing memories about him winning races in 2017, that’s still my favorite season in the hybrid era despite the result, he genuinely made me feel that love for the sport that not all the drivers managed to create for the fans.

      @Hiobuch12 every driver in history who's about to leave a team had same result. Focus shift on the "main" driver and makes the other driver look miserable. For one, it's a team safety measure (marketing), also it's designed to make the exiting driver look bad. Politics in F1 stinks. We all know that.
      Sebastian Vettel is one of the greatest driver..... EVER, whether your idol Ricciardo looked temporarily better, Daniel will never be close to Sebastian accomplishments. A 4 times F1 world champion. Not every driver can accomplish that.

    Sebastian's the definition of passionate. If one should ask about anything regarding the sport, he can answer them all within a heartbeat. He reminds me of myself who is passionate of the videogames I play - always up to date, remembers all the nits and grits, and even the fun easter eggs here and accompanied with tips.
    I know he will retire as a driver someday, but knowing him, I'm pretty sure he won't stray too far away from F1's environment (similar to what Button did).

    Him and Kimi were complete opposites. One cared deeply about the sport, the history, the fans and his own impact. One was just there because he thought it was fun. He cared not how he impacted it nor about anyone but himself.
    Together they were my favourite driver pairing of all time.

      He's married to his girlfriend from high school and they've got 3 kids. Him & Kimi are both big family men away from the sport and I think that's why they got along together so well as teammates.

    Haven't always been a fan of Vettel but in recent years grown to really like him.

    I know it was a time of Hamilton dominance but I genuinely miss the Hamilton and Vettel friendly rivalry big time. I honestly blame the Ferrari team because if only they werent so temperamental with the cars fragility and strategy.

      so are we gonna ignore all of the good things that he's done? all the initiative for change in the sport? all the "Black Lives Matter" and more sustainability in the sport? at the same time ignore how all the other drivers on the grid do the exact same thing and how he does it one of the least? once he has left the sport or stops winning, its gonna be exactly like Schumacher or Vettel or Alonso, people are gonna hate how he wins so much, just because he wins so much, then gonna miss him and call him a legend. hating a driver is stupid, this is coming from a neutral fan, don't be like this man people.

      @@TheLibermania problem is thst you're not looking at the facts, he is PROMOTING positive things and being an embassador in those fields, idk if you know how that works but PROMOTING means publicly doing stuff like what he does. If you have even seen a single interview you would know how humble he is, saying how lucky he is, always thanking the fans EVEN WHEN they boo him off the podium, don't ever say Hamilton isn't absolutely doing the best that he could whilst staying grounded
