Talkin' and Playin' "Tell Me a Bedtime Story"

In this video, Mooney considers Herbie Hancock's "Tell Me a Bedtime Story," from "Fat Albert Rotunda." The tune is a fascinating mixture of bluesy melody, sophisticated, sometimes dissonant harmony, and mixed meter. Mooney discusses the original version, as well as renditions by Robert Glasper and Mark Whitfield and Christian McBride.
