Love the Valdore! A beautiful ship.
I note that the Galaxy Class Odyssey wasn't destroyed because she was too slow for the more agile Jem'Hadar attack ships; she was destroyed because their phased polaron beams could pass straight through her shields.

I remember the first time we were introduced to the Romulan Valdore Class Warbirds was in Star Trek:Nemesis during the Battle of the Basin Rift where 2 ships of the Valdore Class fought alongside the Sovereign Class U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-E against the Reman Warship Scimitar and as Worf said 'The Romulans fought with Honor' even though the 2 Valdore Class Warbirds were badly damaged during the battle where one took 3 direct hits from the Scimitars photon torpedoes and another had it's starboard wing blown off which collided with the Enterprise E hitting the bussard RamScoop of her port warp nacelle and did damage to her shields.

I think the reason why was destroyed so easily in star trek nemesis is that it was designed to outrun not attack ships like the scimitar and is designed to kill small fighters and cruisers while outrunning large battleships if they don't have there own battleship cover. Similar to a 20th century pocket battleship/battlecruser. Sharnhorst and Graf Spee are a good example

In the non Canon books, the D'Deridex and Mogai class become the backbone of the split Romulan Republic and the D'Deridex is provided to the Federation as a workhorse research vessel due to its enormous size and singularity power for research computing and acting literally as an entire forward operating mobile base. As a footnote, it is said the Romulans did in fact invent the Klingon Bird of Prey. And as you can see in the video, some of the other Birds of Prey include the Praetorian Class and the Dioxys Class.

true, but the Romulans Didn't really have an effective escort, yes they have the Scout ship, but thats quite old and not intended for frontline service, also the romulans don't have the numbers in the way the federation and klingons do. so instead of building a small ship that would maybe equal the jem'hadar. they go with something that can overpower them, as a battlecruiser the Neorexan is agile enough to chase, and has the firepower to overwhelm.

I really like your video's but have to disagree with the opening part. The galaxy class vessels didn't lose to smaller, more agile fighters. They lost to ships that had a technology that allowed them to shoot right through their shields. The Federations galaxy class ship took on three Dominion ships, and destroyed one of them all while the shields were useless. If the same fight had happened, but the ships shields had been modified to defend against the Dominion weapons, the fight would have been much different. The same goes for when the Cardassian's and the Romulans got destroyed. Their shields were useless... Remember when the Defiant's shields went down because of sabotage? A tiny little Maquis ship could have destroyed it, and would have if not for the fact he wanted to let Sisco and his crew live. that's basically what Dominion ships were able to do.

Just remember the Galactic Empire has 25,000 Star Destroyers. That's only one class of ship. The amount of firepower the Empire can bring to bear can easily wipe out the Federation, the Klingons, the Romulans, and just about everyone else.

The starship you show at 16:47, is spectacular I can find no literature on thsi particular design which I think is spectacular can you shed some ligh? It says Phoenix but non of the ships I looked up as Phoenix look anything like this, they are all ugly while this one is very eye appealing and streamlined with the engines in my opinion where they should be.

In space a cube with weapons on every face and corner and thrusters on every face is the best design. Or a sphere covered in omni directional engines and weapons So the Borg are way ahead of everyone. In fact the borg have the only sensible design in the series.

I thought they were weaker than the dderidex ships. That's good to know. I guess the schimatar owning 2 of them and the enterprise e all at once was an impressive feat afterall. I just figured they were class 3 ships, class 4 at best.

depends how you define strength. in terms of raw weapons/ shield power no. she isn't more powerful than a D'deridex that title belongs to the Kerchan. but in terms of flexibility and adaptation she's far more worthy of the modern battlespace compared to her predecessor.
