I just LOVE you, Serena! I’m glad that you made this video to discuss the difference between a dupe and a fraud. I have been to New York and down to the famous Canal St. Buying a dupe feels a lot better than the faux (fraud). I’m a high low kinda bag girl! I love bags, and always have. My first Louis was years ago in a resale shop that happened to have a bag on 30% off, I seriously think it was marked down by accident. I went home and found out that it is a retired bag, in excellent condition and that the resale value on the bag was actually 60% higher than what I paid. I loved you unpacking the duffel bag, it was almost like Mary Poppin’s carpetbag! I also agree with you that unless someone is all up in your business, no one can tell the difference. It’s just a matter of where you want to spend hard earned money. Again, great video!
Thank you so much Carrie! I'm a purse lover from WAY back. I got my first Gucci when I was 16! (yes I was a tad bit spoiled LOL) But I have every LV bag I've eve bought, with exception of 1 I sold on Poshmark. The first one I ever bought is a Speedy I purchased in 1998, and now my oldest daughter has it. If you take care of them, they really will last forever. I've been to Canal St too and bought the fakes, but always felt so "dirty" with them. But I'm not too proud to carry a dupe!
@@StylewithSerena Serena, I’m definitely jealous that you got your first Gucci at 16, but since you’re a true girl from the South if I’m correct, I can see Southern parents (or moms) giving a designer bag for a 16th birthday. But a Gucci, whoa! That’s a definite spoil! LOL. I’m an only child and was raised by my mom and she definitely worked hard and spoiled me, too. The LV I found in practically new condition, looks like it was never used is the Manosque PM Damier. Oh my goodness, I just looked it up again for kicks and what I got it for, with original tags still in it, is shameful. I seriously do not think the designer resale shop knew what they had & then because the whole store was 30% off, they applied it to that bag as well. I’m telling you, I just adore watching your videos. I haven’t been feeling great over the past few days, that’s why you’re my fave binge watching. I’m not trying to be a weird creeper, LOL!

It's held up great! It doesn't get daily use obviously but it's holding Up great

It's "for all intents and purposes". It's just a saying. Meaning, it's the same...serves the same purpose.
I just have to comment and although I know it’s negative it is just my personal opinion. I do not by design or anything. If I like a handbag if it’s the style I like or the color I want or the Crossbody or the whatever then I purchased that purse I’ve never paid more than $65 for a purse and for me that was a splurge. The designer crap to me is just you are walking around free advertisement for this brand that hikes their prices up just so you Can show people yeah I may not have been able to pay my car payment but I’ll be doggone I’ve got a Louis Vuitton purse or a Chanel bag. To me, it is ridiculous! Thank you for this video however as I know you were showing different options.
