I trained with Ben 20 years ago. I wish I would have finished training with him. He was a cool guy.
As long as someones getting hit in the face with reasonable amount of force and the match outcome isnt point scoring, its good enough imo. From there onwards everyone who does this thing can start figuring out the moves which they prefer the most. Theres so many techniques in the world with varying chances of connecting and cause different amount of damages. Maybe some dude gets a lot of hits in by slapping, and if the slaps dont do anything significant to the fight, they wont win as often, so the shitty ones gets filtered out in the end
its really easy to fight when opponent dosent move....
You obviously know nothing about kajukenbo
@@VanceAndrew well i practice bjj and mma for a long time and this look ridiculous for me, i dont know nothing about kajukembo but i know something about fights... and man, this is really usseles....
@@saltandoballas I’m with you. I do bjj and Muay Thai. I’ve been researching this style and most of it looks staged and I never see real actual sparring.
@@nbalboa36 I know right now I haven’t tried since 2019 lol
I would Dojo bust without breaking a sweat.
This shit is garbage. Any martial arts that doesn't pressure test is garbage. You have to spar
long live kajukenbo! make it your life!
Kajukenbo will provide you a brotherhood and some ideas for cQC. But boxing, bJJ, awareness, and conditioning will keep you safe.
In my Kenpo school, we add Muay Thai and Jeet kune do, boxing and Jujitsu
why not just train muay thai?
@Yung Dripy well I meant to say, train any of those things except kenpo.
@@Liquidcadmus why lmao
@@zanik8326 to not waste time on useless things.

What is this?!? I’m very disappointed
Bwahahahaha. This is BADDDDD
yes. yes it is.
This style looks really fun.
You cant post anything without a flood of UFC fanbois most of whom have never trained talking shit, you pretty much know they are keyboard warriors when they mention Muay Thai and BJJ as the end all be all.
Exactly.
Whether their training is true or not, they’re not wrong. A lot of the things they do seem suspicious
I know right? I go to a few sites where the worst braggers claim to be BB’s in those two styles, but it’s very obvious that they really don’t know sh*t.
Wow, your in Texas. I gew up there glad you're there. All Texas had for decades was Tae kwan do.
Uncle ben❤
Awesome school!!!
That gun defense looks suspect
It was a "first degree" test, not a "grand master" test. Get some perspective, idiot. And: there are not many gun defenses. There are only a handful basic principles how you can disarm a guy holding a gun, and if he pulls the trigger, you are dead ... so what is your stupid problem? Teaching a 1% chance to survive is "wrong"? How so? Ho said so? You? Couch potato?
Jiyukan Why are you so angry?
couch potato? I roll, spar, etc but I'm a couch potato yea okay.
Jiyukan You fucking degenerate
Tengo una curiosidad.. Me imagino que es tradición, que significa que lo golpeen con el cinturón.. Gracias!
I’m a second degree black belt and ik how much work it is
Ill stick to Muay Thai
Yea, they say that Kajukenbo was for the streets, but looking at this video it seems like the stuff that dosen't work, so I'll just stick with Krav Maga
Whatever your choice, but please
Respecting each other maybe?
@@bagussyarifuddin511 Rah!
@@SuperColonel91 every damn video is fake about everything so why not try it yourself? My grandpa actually practiced this for years.
Hes a master at it and well likes training even if he can't talk.
Good times.
Western weird interpretations and cult-like disciplines based on mixtures of Asian stuff never fail to entertain me
You didn’t read up on how this art came to be, clearly….
These guys look like soft noodles
bravi
I want to see that old dude do some fighting
He is actually like one of the highest grandmasters in all of the world!
I beg your pardon. There are only 60 or so in the world that that “old guy” is my grandfather and has so much talent. 🤷🏽♀️
Hence the name at the end of the video “grand master Ben Calvo”
I learned from Ben years ago when I was a teen. He gave me a good foundation. I then branched out to muay thai, bjj. This karate is good just needs to cut the traditional stuff and modernize it more. Ben is strong for a old timer.
The guy said he wants to see the old guy fight. He never doubted his talent. Who wouldn’t want to see a GM fight and show us that pure raw talent?
Gun beats martial arts
Depends tho. Its hard to fine tune your response. You musnt be too alert that if an old lady dropped some cereal box behind you, she gets instantly shot due to reflex. On the other hand. If youre not alert enough some dude can casually just walk by with a knife concealed and shank you.
At a certain range, no amount of Gun-fu training can prepare you for it. Just look up videos of people getting shanked. Its impossible to know if someone has a knife and wants to hurt you.
Plus. You cant dial it down. When some abusive family member starts harassing, you cant set the gun to shoot at a quarter, or an eighth muzzle energy, or shoot out half a bullet. Shooting at a thief thats running away from you will land you in more shit than it solves.
There is no perfect martial art. Gun based martial arts has its strengths and weaknesses too
@@de0509 all I know is I am to old and to out of shape to get into hand to hand fights
Brand newest Martial Art? Again? Prove it in MMA.
PAZZELLO Already has, Sage Northcut and Chuck Liddell are Kajukenbo practitioners, that's also considering it's a very uncommon martial art. Also Kajukenbo isn't really new, it's been around since 1947 which makes it older than taekwondo.
That is true. Also, understand that in some places, black belt tests are basically ceremonial, and they have already decided whether the person has earned the belt.
It is there, Jujitsu and boxing all in KA (karate) JU (jujitsu) KEN (kenpo) BO (boxing)
Should any martial arts proven by MMA exhibition? How if someone trains just for fun and health and mental recovery purpose, so they just prohibited to learn any martial arts, aren't they? Is that so?
Just friendly reminder, not every people want to be a tough guy,
Bagus Syarifuddin Chuck Liddell did.
bullshido at its finest...only the armlock looked legit
What you mean with legit? As in "legal"? Is there a reason some techniques are "illegal"? Pouch potato muchos?
a lot of the moves look like bullshit. One point that always gets brought up is this wouldn't work in MMA. My issue with MMA however (as a practitioner) is I am able to do things otherwise I wouldn't do, like punching the crap out of somebody, because I have my hands wrapped and I wear gloves. I also feel that my stance leaves my open to groin shots. If it was a real fight and I would use the MMA stance, the fight would be over pretty fast - I would either kick my opponent in the nuts or he would do it first. This is why you see traditional martial arts practitioners using a more sideways stance.
I just wish there was something in between, maybe MMA without gloves?
Nour Cherif Just because you seen a few moves here doesn't you have learnt the full martial art dumb prick.
Florin Toader This does work in mma. Chuck Lidell has been using it, also this is not a traditional martial art.
Nour Cherif That was easy to escape as well!
For those critical of this test, this is one of many test that happens in Kajukenbo. Bruce Lee was not the best but respected Ed Parker of Kenpo enough to respect the art. Kajukenbo is one step above Kenpo and I personally won over 200 fights in Chicago without breaking a sweat. Go to Fight Quest Kajukenbo and you will respect it enough.
I'll take "Things that never happened" for a thousand, Alex!
Fighting with your chin up, sticking out, with a straight back, won't work in the street.. You will get knocked out, lose your balance or taken down. If you are fighting multiple opponents, you are probably going to get hit.....Hard blocks don't work in MMA or in boxing... Real punches are FAST. There has to be head movement, to avoid getting hurt.... You might be able to parry, at best. You also will not be able to dance around if you are in a small area like an elevator, or against multiple bad guys.
I admire this black belt candidate's effort.... But his power & balance are poor, and he's very tight...
I think people seem to get confused with someone being a black belt and being a pro fighter just means he can defend himself decently well doesn't mean he's going to take on professional fights.
Slow af
*Yeeeah. Umm, NONE of these black belt will make it in MMA and there's a reason why you never see any of them representing MMA in any UFC match* *but I'm sure the response here would be their style is just too dangerous for the octagon. Typical* 😂
Ufc fanboy.
@@kesenaememere8520 lol, nerd.
Ma che merdata è?
This is Taekwondo
They are still yellow belts. At best
I had better form before I even got a blue belt
The old master looks cool.
Yep all those UFC fanbois who just say BJJ and Muay Thai beat everything need to STFU. All martial artists have the same mandate to learn to punch hard, kick hard and grapple to at least being able to escape and stand up. It's Mixed Martial Arts, not mixed Magical Arts. (ka) = Karate, (ju) = Judo, (ken) = kenpo, (bo) = boxing. Kajukenbo was one of the first approaches to try to transcend the limits of any one style, and it has been pressure tested in areas known for lots of street violence.
What a kind of BS is that defense against a gun?
There is no gun defense in reality.
The best defense is running or having enough strength to wrestle the firearm.
Where's the flow in the movements they move like robots also no power
I got my bb in Kaju 30 yrs ago, & where I trained it was nothing like this, (Thank God).
Every school of any style has its great and its poor examples. You can easily see where this one lands. 😂
Lo veo muy bien que la gente practiqué lo que le gusta, y todo vale!!
