I have never heard anyone who can answer a question, who is as reasoned and well-spoken and voluminously knowledgeable as he is. As example, no one has so thoroughly destroyed the idea of religion in so few words. It was reasoned and inarguable, hilarious and freeing. To think this man quit school 9th grade. One can only say, it was a wise move.

I only found Carlin in the past couple of years. What a terrific comedian and discoverer of the stupidity in so much of what we do in life.

  • @alpha57441

George told it like was, Like it or not he brought alot of truth into the spotlight about how we as human beings live in todays world. He pointed out how the stupid things in life take control of our lives instead of common sense taking control.

Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. An artist, a genius, a true gentleman.
I sure wish i could read some of those 1500 text files he had in his computer.
I like how hereferenced a lot of talented comedians, but i'm surprised he never mentioned Bill Hicks, another comic genius and rebel like himself, i'm sure he must have at least heard of him.
George Carlin's voice will forever be a shining beacon to guide humanity in the right way, if we ever choose to listen...

That we don't have a giant of goodness and humour such as Carlin amongst us anymore just adds to the pain of evil money grabbing, power hungry sphincters like Pat Robertson and Henry Kissinger just not wanting to die.

Carlin is a brilliant speaker, the way he works with words and expression are freaking amazing! so why the fuck dose he have trouble explaining why he limited himself to cocaine and didn't do heroin and self destructed, it seams fairly simple compared to the other stuff he explains, there is something he is not telling us:P

Well actually it's that part where he mentions all the great talent that comedy has lost over the years, maybe because it's such an intense life they lead, then he mentions Hicks, Kauffman, and says that sometimes it's a natural disorder. But I never heard anything about the two of them not getting along, or something like that. Carlin did comercials, I'm sure Hicks didn't care for that hehehehe

The guys been dead for four years. He put out an album about every two and a half years. His books on CD are a lot of extra material, especially When Will Jesus Bring The Porkchops, that one alone is like six albums worth of material. So in my way of thinking, he won't really be out of new material till 2023.
