I hope you don't have any more episodes of wondering whether you should continue your channel. You are, by far, my favorite channel. I will be doing what you are in the next 3 -5 years. I have been learning skills for the last 5 years to try to be ready, which I'm sure I will never be ready but i'm going to do it anyway. You inspire me with almost all of your videos. I actually have learned a lot from you, even though you downplay your knowledge and skill. Some things are just a refresher, as my father and grandfather taught me many things and I feel very fortunate that I grew up around such knowledgeable men. Yesterday I finished hanging two axe heads that were my grandfathers, a single bit and a double bit. Unfortunately, I don't know what brands they are since there are no markings on them. The double bit, was hand hammer forged though. Hanging them was about 3 days work as it is the first time for me. Today, I started playing around with some leather so that I can make sheaths for them. I will send some pictures when I am finished with them. Maybe I will get on the end of one of your videos?!? Anyway, I hope you continue to enjoy making videos, so that I can get my Wranglerstar fix... God Bless you and you family... David
im a city boy who likes to go hiking and learning about being more self sufficient and i stumbled onto your vids a while ago. yes there are better people who can teach me things but at the same time, your personality is what caught my eye. i watch your vids to help keep my eyes on the prize to one day move from the city and live in a similar fashion to how you do. i get to see older techniques, most of the time more efficient, in just doing random things that people like me never would learn in the city. I for one thank you!
Gotta say wranglerstar, I'm loving these videos. No need to speed up the pace, we're relaxing while watching. As far as whether we learn anything from you, and you not being the best - we learn from others mistakes, it's more valuable seeing the whole process than a refined 4 minute overview!
Hey Wranglerstar, I've been stationed in Germany for the past 10 months, and I can't do any home projects anymore. Watching you makes me feel at home and lifts my spirits every time I watch. Thank you for that. -PFC Slicer
Thanks for another great video Cody. I want you to know that most of us probably enjoy watching your videos because they're interesting, plain and simple. If people are in a hurry because they feel like they need a quick resolution then maybe they should go to another site. Your videos explain more than just how to do the project, they teach about the great interaction that you and your family have and how along the way we all learn a lesson not only about the projects that your working on, but we also learn lessons about family and being good people. I enjoy watching Mt. Fuji in the background and the progress that your making around your place. So keep up the good work, God gave you a talent and your doing the best that you can to share it with others. Thank you.
Love the way you talk us through each chore or project. You make me feel like I'm down in the basement of my Uncle Bob's farm house in Iowa Falls. I'm 64 and my Uncle was an old school farmer and self taught carpenter He made the picture frames for all of my mom's many oil paintings. Every time I got to go visit he'd take me to his shop for some project. These are some of my dearest childhood memories. Keep up the good work Cody, we love your family and your vlogs.
I never worked with an anvil before, nor did I know how to mount the one I just received. Thanks to you, I can now mount one the way it should be mounted and also know how to preserve the wood. It was all new knowledge for me and I appreciate it. Keep it up !!!!
Seeing these videos reminded me of how my uncles use to do things. I started blacksmithing a few months ago and I really enjoy it. Forget the haters, I enjoy your enthusiasm and appreciation for the simplistic things in life.
I can relate to the way you marvel at the simple things like the look and smell of beeswax and the brilliance of simple, effective ideas like hollowing out the center of the log to make it stable. I also like that you're appreciative of those people that help you. Like others have mentioned, I don't watch to learn how to do these things, I watch to relax. Simple and clever things have a beauty that's worth appreciating and I enjoy that you take the time to appreciate them.
Don't stop your vids. The presentation is what it's all about. Your stuff is real. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. I look forward to them everyday.
Watching your videos make me happy. I enjoy hearing what you have to say. You are such a down to earth guy. Thank you for all you do. You take time from your busy life to entertain over 2 million some people, including me. I think we can all thank you for that.
Cody, I look forward to your videos everyday. You and your family are inspirational, entertaining and informative. I am getting my wife into watching you now. I leave in the country but grew up in the city and you have made me want to partake of all the country has to offer. Please never stop you tubing.
I found this channel in search of my new interest in Blacksmithing. Your drum brake forge video has inspired me. Thank You for sharing your knowledge and philosophies on craftsmanship.
I think the best part is the conversation at the end because it is true! Thanks Cody for being humble and taking us along for the learning and fun experience! Keep it up!
I'm not much of a handy man, but I'm a firm believer in learning from anyone that knows more than me. You sir know much more than me about wood working, forestry, axes, etc. Even if there's better craftsmen out there, don't discount your experience or ability to pass on what you've learned. Thanks for all the videos. Keep them coming! :) Greetings from Saskatoon.
You dont give your self enough credit Cody. I have learned so much from watching your videos. YOU'RE ACTUALLY THE FIRST CHANNEL THAT I HAVE PURCHASED SHIRTS FROM!! i cant wait to watch the next videos that you put out. I look forward to them after a long day at work. I have designed my future shop (I am only 22) after some of your works. I cannot wait to really dig into projects like yours and I really appreciate the time and care you put into your videos. We as subscribers don't directly pay you but you give us so much. Thank you so much and God bless!
I find your videos so soothing and relaxing. I live in the suburbs in New Zealand and I rarely get the chance to do any of the things you do. In a way, I guess I do them vicariously through your videos. Please don't ever consider giving it up.
Like you said you may not be an expert, but you are entertainment for people like me. You show things that I wouldn't normally think I would want to watch and show them in a way that makes me think that the everyday man could do this, it's really encouraging. Thank you for what you do.
We love watching your videos because of the little bits of information you include and you have built a community in a sense. We enjoy your content and just being taken along for the ride! Keep up the good work!
I personally watch(and I'm sure this same thing is expressed in other comments) because I appreciate your appreciation of quality, the idea of choosing things(using techniques) that will hold up and last, a refreshing change from our current disposable/throw away culture. Please keep doing what you're doing, it will never go unappreciated by me.
You nailed it Cody. Watching your channel is like being there. The way you talk as you work reminds me of being Jack's age and watching my uncle build something. I always look forward to the next video.
Cody, a point I would like to add. You are entertaining, but I love watching your videos mostly because you care. You give the best you can at everything, and your love and attention to detail are truly inspiring. Thank you Cody!
It's not about learning it the best way but following along with your journey on the homestead. I think most here long to have their own land and be on a similar path. I still learn a lot watching your videos so don't forget about the tutorials completely.
Keep doing you, Cody. I find your videos relaxing, entertaining and informative. I have learned a LOT from your channel, in direct how-to, and also sparking ideas for other things. Guys that live in the city often don't realize that projects ALWAYS take longer than you think they will, so your channel shows that reality.
Hi Cody. Been a long time watcher. It still amazes me ( in a good way) how much pride and joy you get out of the little things in life. No matter the subject matter, I always enjoy learning from your channel. I may not need to learn how to mount an anvil to a base, but with all the twists this life will take me, I just may!
I just made an anvil stand from a red oak log, your info made it much easier. I have straight cuts, I concealed the bottom, covered top & bottom with beeswax. I have a nice, solid stand now that should last for years. Made from a tree that fell 2 winters ago. Thanks for all the good info.
The thing about your channel that keeps me watching is that I truly enjoy your videos and I also learn things that I would probably wouldn't have ever known.
I am enjoying the time it is taking on this project. I get to sit down after a busy day at work and hang out in your shop and relax for a time before I have to get up and finish up my day. Thanks for the entertainment and the break.
Please never stop. You are so encouraging. I hope to adapt some aspects of your life into mine in the future. I learn so much from you. I don't look forward to much these days, but i get anticipate getting to watch your videos. Thank you.
You know what's great about your projects with multiple videos? You show most of the steps and it gives a realistic timeline for the project. For someone who doesn't have the first clue I find this helpful. Keep on doing what you're doing.
I enjoy watching you do work around your house because you research and learn as you go the same way most of us do. Sometimes you know the right way to do things and you may not have the proper tools, but you can improvise or borrow what you need to get the job done and feel good about what you're left with in the end. Then, you clean up your mess and return the tools to a state better than you started with.
The end of the video defs is why I watch. When Im stressed at work I often put on a wranglerstar vid and Im instantly in the shop working on some crazy project or chopping down a tree... at least in my head. Really helps me mellow at on the night shift, thanks Mr. Wranglerstar and Fam.
Please Cody...don't change anything! I always wait until the end of my day to pull up your vids, so I won't be in any hurry to get to the end. We learn a little somethin', we enjoy the easy, relaxed way you tell it, and the gushin' over the beeswax! Why that's just the icing on the cake!
In regards to the end statements, I do watch your channel to learn things, but i watch a lot more channels... what i like about your channel specifically, it gives me a rough idea on how things will turn out if 'I' were to do them myself ... or rather, what i should strive for... a lot of things i have never done, sure i can watch somebody that is an expert, and true i would learn some things, but i can not expect a project to turn out the way it does for that expert with years of experience... This I think is great about watching you do things, it gives a reasonable view of what to expect in a project after having 'some' experience. And in some cases, with no experience at all, which I think is great as well as you do not hide your mistakes or mishaps, which at least shows me how 'not' to do things (which is just as important). And yes, the entertainment value is part of it too, if it wasn't viewable i wouldn't watch it ... but for me the above is more important. Simply getting an idea of what a regular guy with some experience has to do on a homestead, what he runs into when doing all of that, what options i have if i want to do something like that as well, be it in top tools or 'on a budget'. And I'm also looking forward to the harvest videos and the garden stuff, even though that is more of 'miss Wranglerstars' stuff to do, but it's life at the homestead, so it interests me. What is there to do, how to do it, how not to do it, what is hard, what is easy. Now I (and i do not know if this is a general male thing, but) share your passion for tools, and mainly those older hand tools. This is not just coming from my own background in engineering, or from a preppers pov. (as powertools will not do you any good in a true grid down world), but there just is something 'dare i say sexy' about these shiny metal tools with their aged polish shine wooden handles, some are so well thought out, speciality tools with excellent function (if you consider them to be hand tools) ... I think that if i didn't have these interests, i simply wouldn't watch the channel, as it would offer nothing of my interest... But for all the people that do like woodworking, metal working, homesteading, and older tools, then this is a great channel with an open house mentality and a common (wo)man approach to these topics... Ohw, and the fact that you put up content regularly helps as well, a channel can be really good, but if the content is put out very irregular and with a lot of time in between videos, I just loose interest... there are suggestions showing up with almost any video you watch, showing more people doing similar style videos, if they put up content more often, then I rather spend the time on those (assuming a roughly similar quality) then 'waiting' for that one video... Really, hiatus things are generally bad in the 'on demand' reality of online content. Now sure, I get that most people have a job, and maybe only put out 1 video a week, maybe 2, and I do not omit them because of that (especially if the content is good), but seeing you put out more then that amount, that certainly gives your channel a plus... (actually, you are top in the list of my favourites in the folder of 'youtube channels' simply because of that, when working down that list I can reasonably expect to at least watch a video that is more then likely of my interest on your channel. Yeah sorry I order the channels in logical utilitarian order from my pov, but if you are in that list, you are already one of my favourite channels. I do not think I could actually pick a true favourite from among them as they all offer different things :)
Cody, don't sell yourself short. In my eyes you are very talented and I do learn from you. All of my axes thank you and my trees fear you lol. It is the way you talk to the camera, it's like you are talking to a person. That is difficult but you make it comfortable. I don't want to say that I am envious, but I will say that I live vicariously through your lifestyle. God Bless.
Speaking of beeswax candles, for anyone who uses those UCO candle lanterns the beeswax candles are great! They burn longer than the other lanterns, and they smell fantastic. When I'm camping in the winter time I'll sometimes use one to warm my tent up a bit, to take the edge off the cold so to speak (make sure your have good ventilation!!!), and the beeswax candles are so much more pleasant to use than the normal candles or the citronella candles. I also keep a few of them, along with the candle lantern, in my vehicles during the winter time for the same reason.
I enjoy watching your videos because your a genuine person. Your not an over the top personality or some stuck up snob. You're honest about who you are.
The reason I watch is because you are a great role model, entertaining, and I simply like watching. I get great ideas from you and a lot of inspiration from you as well. I always watch your videos before anyone else. It is a treat to come home, get on youtube and see how the Wranglerstar family is doing!
First time commenting. Your words after the video are absolutely why I watch your vids. Interesting projects, tools, and a humble approach is what I hope to see when I click on your vids. And I do learn tidbits even if the overall project is straight forward. Please keep it up!
I just found your channel, really enjoyed your anvil project. I mounted my dads huge anvil on a stand very much like you are doing and of course had my dad leaning over my shoulder helping me and it went just about like yours except there was a lot of chuckling and "I wouldn't do like that" and "Boy I taught you better than that" I am amazed I ever survived thoes days, dads just know how to get their sons mind to become supple, they work them over and over. Great vedio and thanks for rminding me of days long ago.
Dear Sir, I wanted to take a moment and let you know that I truly do value your RUclips channel. As a high school history teacher in northern Wisconsin, I do all that I can to teach my students to learn from their elders and pass down the traditions and trades of old. In addition, I place a high value on the tips you offer on how to be a good man. These are things I also pass on to my students when it's time for formal dances, etc. I am sure you have seen the Dick Proenneke videos "Alone in the Wilderness - Parts 1 & 2, as they are often shown on PBS. You remind me of him a great deal. However, you do it by living in a community (both traditional and RUclips) and taking a leadership role. I have a great deal of respect for this. You stated something a few weeks ago about how somebody can tell a lot about a man by how he cares for his tools. I have really taken that to heart and have been making sure my tools are clear of rust (wire brush and 3-in-1 Oil), handles look good (light sanding and boiled linseed oil), and making sure my shop is in tip-top shape. This is because you are absolutely correct. My tools and my shop are a reflection of me. I want to always make a good impression and demonstrate the values that are important to me. Anyway - thank you for your fire protection service in your community, thank you for your videos, and thank you for sharing the way you live your life with us. I am quite grateful. Jeff Kline Green Bay, WI
I've never seen anyone do a better job at this! I like the fact it takes a long time on these videos they are relaxing and educational please never quit making these videos!
The thing with you Cody you are real down to earth. The neighbor next door. We learn from each other. A JACK OF ALL TRADES you might say. I'm all was learning from you an the subscribers. Great job again. God bless.
I like watching your videos because you are very entertaining and I get to learn different ways to do things. I also love how humble you are. You not only talk about your faith but you show it in the way you treat others even when you rant. Keep it up I love it!
Seriously anyone can plop an anvil on a stump, but that is in fact not the reason I watch wranglerstar videos every day. You are exactly right, you are entertaining, and your insight and perspective is refreshing. Don't let anyone get you down and make you stop, youtube would be a much more boring place.
Your right Cody. I for one, watch your vids for the entertainment value. Two, your well spoken and your content is pretty clean and thats a nice thing at the end of the day. Three, despite the entertainment I still learn things by watching you work or talk. Please keep it up. Your a breath of fresh air in an otherwise crappy world.
I watch your videos because you are a comforting presence. Most importantly though and reason I am very dedicated your channel is because you are a Christian. I truly love that about you and love your entire family for it. This is fast dying country and kicking of God out it is the reason. You are a wonderful person for showing others how God can bless us. Thank you so much for everything you do.
As someone just stsrting their own channel your comments about not being the best at anything but just doing it and taking the viewers along with you was really encouraging. I don't mind that you took a long time over it and let us know your thought processes. I only wanted to know how to mount the anvil but I'm now thinking about how to put a concave base on the stump im getting tomorrow. Also nice to see a samll anvil on such a big stump. I only need a small anvil but have a big old stump arriving. I will be sealing it as well. I might lnow someone that can get me some beeswax or I have some beeswax based finishing oil I might use.
Have to agree with you. I'm watching the videos because some strange way those are relaxing and entertaining. I have summer cottage where I spend my holidays by repairing the cottage and makeing woodworks with my limited skill-set. However, I live in city and our videos and big cup of coffee are great escape from weekday rush. So thank you.
You are right on point with your comments about your channel, we enjoy just coming along for the ride and learn a little bit here and there. You make awesome videos!
I'm a web developer and sit on my butt... I say to myself, "What's Cody doing today?” I can't do the things you do but I can enjoy them thru you. Just keep it up, you make my days better.
hey wranglerstar, i don't comment as often as anyone else here but, you're right,i didn't watch the video to learn to mount an anvil, but to be entertained. Been following you for a couple of years now, and i find that you had entertained me more than watching the TV. Keep up the good work man :) Greetings from the Philippines :)
Hi Cody! i'm so sorry that english is not my first language and i can't exactly express what i'm feeling while watching your channel witch i discoverd not long time ago. You, your lovely wife, your cute child, the spacial relationship between all of you, the atmosphere in your house.. damm! i'm feeling like i'm part of your family and we haven't even met (yet??...). So please, just keep this videos comming, i just LOVE them. they are trully an inspiration for me. THANKS!
Well Cody, you are much better at the trade skills than I will ever be. I also enjoy the journey you are taking and your channel is better than TV entertainment could ever provide. Thanks for all you do.
The Google Generation wants everything instantly. You carry on at your own pace. There are plenty of 5 minute youtube videos for them to watch, we like yours because we learn something, it is relaxing and sometimes we have a giggle with you. You are man like me who has a go at things, we aren't the best but sometimes we find a new way of doing something because we adapt a skill from a previous trade, it is a sort of cross pollination. That can only be a good thing.
Keep on going man! your videos are awesome to watch, you're not loud or obnoxious and nothing seems forced, it's nice relaxed and really enjoyable to watch. I would rather watch a 4 part series on putting this anvil on a stand with you doing commentary and making jokes than watch an instructional video any day.
Well Said Cody on the END CARD! You Nailed it! There were many an early video where I was telling you through the computer the same thing you just said and it has been great to see where you have come to! We are all on a journey thanks for taking us with you on yours!
Keep the videos coming, it's all good. Started watching your poor man's workbench. Catching up on all your videos. I enjoy everything that comes from this channel, thanks for all the great content.
So Glad you added the comment at the end... yeah... you might not be the most advanced, skilled or Master at everything you do. But, by doing what you do, I'd like to think you encourage and inspire the rest of us to become more and better than we currently are. :) God Bless You and kindly keep up the Great work you do.
I've watched this whole series, I usually get my cup of coffee and relax. I'm in no hurry, I just enjoy watching a regular man do homestead type things. I must say it beats doing my own chores!
Cody, I like your process videos. The process is as important as the outcome. I enjoy seeing the little steps you take, and hearing your thought process while doing it. Keep up the great work!
We weren't laughing AT you...we were laughing WITH you...right gang? As soon as you broke into "are you feakin' kidding me...?" my wife came in to find out what I was laughing about. Always lots of emotion- I think that's why most of us are here & relate to. Keep up the Good Work & Keep the Faith!
I think you're right Wranglerstar - you have an eye for what entertains people. I found myself thoroughly enjoying watching a guy chainsaw a bowl into a stump to "Moonlight Sonata." I love the channel man, don't mess with the secret sauce.
Love the way you do your videos, don't change the way you do it for one person that has probally never seen any of your other videos, keep up the good work,
Cody, I could watch 16 minutes of you talking about anything - even things I don't care about. There's just something about how you video it, how you speak, and the overall ambiance of your videos that mesmerizes me. So, don't listen to all those people who think they should have a say. Just keep on doing what you do.
You're so good entertaining people! This video was like 4 or 5 minutes and i think i am not the only one thinking that the time runs while watching your videos. Keep doing the great job!
I NEED TO WATCH AN ANVIL BEING MOUNTED ON A STUMP. THAT'S WHO! Seriously I had no idea about the following out of the bottom or the linseed oil and bees wax to stop it from splitting. Your my real life hero Cody!
I just got my first anvil and I stumbled across your anvil stand mini series....haha thank you for sharing your skills on here. I always learn stuff watching your videos, and I hope to have a shop like yours someday.
Although I can agree in part that I watch your videos for entertainment, I think it's important you realise that your channel has huge educational value. I learn a lot from you -- from the techniques and tips like how to find north (the west is the best, the west is first) to old/lost techniques and how-to projects I'd have been seriously hesitant to try myself. Not only that, I often learn from you as a role model because of your good attitude, strong father role and kind nature. I'd bet most of your audience are learning something along with or from you all the time, not just watching to be entertained by your failures. So I think actually he had a good point in that when a viewer finishes a video they should feel like the title wasn't misleading (put part 2.. etc) but most of all it's important that we don't feel like you're laughing at us. If the video ended at 16 minutes in the shop I wouldn't have minded at all but that laugh showed us how you seem to view yourself and your abilities. Do you think that is an accurate representation of yourself and this channel? I seriously hope not. There might be better men than yourself but we're here listening to you for a reason.
algreen Al forgive me I'm not understanding what you are trying to say. How could you think for a moment I'm laughing at those who are watching my channel. I'm laughing at myself,
wranglerstar Hey, sorry if i misunderstood you, it's pretty late over here. It sounded like you said his frustration that the title didn't match the content didn't matter because there are way better people to try to learn from if you want that kind of thing. I understand if it's something you think is simple but I think this relates to similar comments in the past where the title hasn't matched the video. To then go on and say that if a viewer is looking for someone to build an anvil stand they could find someone a lot better than you undermines what you have to offer. There's a mix of clear cut educational videos and also less accurately labelled videos on the channel. Personally, I'd love to see the anvil stand wranglerstar style and that's why I watch!
Loving this series of videos. The more I watch your videos and hear you talk about blacksmithing the more it makes me want to get into it. Great content, keep up the great work. BTW hope everyone was ok at that fire.
I need a Wranglerstar podcast. It doesn't matter what you talk about I will listen. I might have to convert all your videos to audio and just listen to them in my car. Keep up the good work.
I enjoy the videos how they are. You have opened doors for me by making me aware of different things like wood working, axes, etc. I thank you for that and being able ta follow your family!
Cody, Awesome Video. Now that is something I would have never thought of is concaving the center of the log to level it out. I cant wait for the actual mounting of the anvil.
I agree, it feels as if I'm there. I get a lot of satisfaction when a project is completed. Its as if I did it myself. Also you have inspired me to take on projects that I probably would have paid someone to do. Keep up the good work.
Excellent Mark, by way of Cody. Grandfathers always seem to be much smarter than we youngsters gave them credit for. Often it's after they are gone that we remember that bit of advise from our Parents and Grandparents that makes our lives better.
Careful with the beeswax, it has a very high boiling point and will burst into flame if it gets too hot. You should try to use it between 165 - 190 degrees Fahrenheit when melted. Also, you can paint on melted wax and then heat it with a torch to get it to really penetrate the wood pours. You have done a really great job on this chunk of log!
I absolutely LOVE to hang out in someones shop, visit, shoot the breeze with a coffee or a beer be a gofer...or not...depending on my mood LOL. I love that as much as I love wandering around an old wrecking yard with a bunch of real old cars and trucks from the 40's and 50's or a second hand store with old tools and such. Doesn't take much to keep me smilin' and your chanell does that so just keep on doin' what you are doin' PAT IN CALGARY
You do a great job at what you do . Guys that complain do not use there hands for real work . Watching you figure out stuff as you go . Is what every real man does . Its who we are .
I agree, i watch you do things because its just fun to see someone living their life the way they enjoy. We aren't all in your situation, for whatever reason. Its nice to see the world, other peoples approach to life.
I usually lurk in the background and just watch the videos, but I can't agree more with the remarks towards the end of this video. You're not the best and, speaking for myself, I get alot of entertainment out of the genuine "feel" that you have with your lifestyle and the content you produce. Keep up the good work and if I ever get a house and some workspace I will be using you as a guide for the projects I want to partake in. Thanks again!
David
You hit the nail right on the head.
Thanks, it was from the heart!
David K I think that's why I like it here so much seems to come from the heart , it leaves a good fealing .
David K I agree as well. By far my most watched channel. I rarely use RUclips for anything else besides a few Bushcraft channels.
im a city boy who likes to go hiking and learning about being more self sufficient and i stumbled onto your vids a while ago. yes there are better people who can teach me things but at the same time, your personality is what caught my eye. i watch your vids to help keep my eyes on the prize to one day move from the city and live in a similar fashion to how you do. i get to see older techniques, most of the time more efficient, in just doing random things that people like me never would learn in the city. Gotta say wranglerstar, I'm loving these videos. No need to speed up the pace, we're relaxing while watching.
As far as whether we learn anything from you, and you not being the best - we learn from others mistakes, it's more valuable seeing the whole process than a refined 4 minute overview!
Vexed Films Thank you VF
Hey Wranglerstar, I've been stationed in Germany for the past 10 months, and I can't do any home projects anymore. Watching you makes me feel at home and lifts my spirits every time I watch. Thank you for that.

SingleShell Thank you for your service.
Thanks for another great video Cody. I want you to know that most of us probably enjoy watching your videos because they're interesting, plain and simple. Love the way you talk us through each chore or project. You make me feel like I'm down in the basement of my Uncle Bob's farm house in Iowa Falls. I'm 64 and my Uncle was an old school farmer and self taught carpenter
He made the picture frames for all of my mom's many oil paintings.
Don't even contemplate stopping. Failing fast is a crucial element of success. You are helping all viewers by growing with you.
Watching your videos make me happy. I enjoy hearing what you have to say. You are such a down to earth guy. Thank you for all you do. You take time from your busy life to entertain over 2 million some people, including me. I think we can all thank you for that.
Logan Wyatt Thank you Logan,
Cody, I look forward to your videos everyday.
Greetings from Saskatoon.
I know we have never met and I don't live in your area so we may never meet, but watching your videos is like spending time with a friend.
Thank you Cody!
ravinsaber Thank you Ravin, very kind of you to say,
It's not about learning it the best way but following along with your journey on the homestead.
Thanks for the entertainment and the break.
brian zeh Thank you Brian,
Please never stop.
I really really really enjoy the rabbit trails you go down, and the seemingly unrelated things you talk about while you work.
I love your personality Cody! Your projects are realistic, you make mistakes, problem solve, laugh, and make jokes about it. Keep up the good work!
Francois L'Heureux Thank you Francois,
The end of the video defs is why I watch. When Im stressed at work I often put on a wranglerstar vid and Im instantly in the shop working on some crazy project or chopping down a tree... at least in my head. Really helps me mellow at on the night shift, thanks Mr. Wranglerstar and Fam.
MrDaley095 Thank you for the kind words Mr Daley,
Please Cody...don't change anything!
Dear Sir,
I wanted to take a moment and let you know that I truly do value your RUclips channel.

I watch just for your sparkling personality. You and Mrs. Wrangelstar and Jack are great.I would truly love to have you all as neighbors.
Sometimes it's not about the product or the skill, it's the things we learn along the way. I love the tricks and tips and your input on life itself.
Hi Cody! i'm so sorry that english is not my first language and i can't exactly express what i'm feeling while watching your channel witch i discoverd not long time ago.
THANKS!
Don't let the haters get you down, I love the pace of your videos. I watch them to see new things, and I definitely learn quite a lot from each video!
Well Cody, you are much better at the trade skills than I will ever be. I also enjoy the journey you are taking and your channel is better than TV entertainment could ever provide. Thanks for all you do.
The Google Generation wants everything instantly. You carry on at your own pace.
There are plenty of 5 minute youtube videos for them to watch, we like yours because we learn something,
it is relaxing and sometimes we have a giggle with you.
You are man like me who has a go at things, we aren't the best but sometimes we find a new way of doing something
because we adapt a skill from a previous trade, it is a sort of cross pollination.
I enjoy watching the videos of people doing what they truly enjoy. It helps me realize how different we all are!!
What you said in the end, thumbs up. I like the voices and your craftmanship. Entertaining and enjoyable. Keep it going !
I don't know about other people, but I personally learn a ton. I am also very entertained. I thank you for both Mr. Wranglerstar!
The reason I watch your videos is, they are entertaining yes, but I think most of all, you're a cool dude to hang out with.
***** Thank you Ben,
Cody, I like your process videos.
Just keep on doing what you do.
lammjame Thank you Jame,
Cody yes you are entertaining, but you are like family. I enjoy getting up every morning and see what you have been up to.God Bless
I could watch you build an anvil stand for hours.
Keep up the good work.
You hit the nail on the head with your closing comments. Although your videos also gives me great ideas for projects!
I need a Wranglerstar podcast. It doesn't matter what you talk about I will listen. I might have to convert all your videos to audio and just listen to them in my car. Keep up the good work.
WiggleWormz I'm not sure how to do a podcast,
I enjoy the videos how they are. You have opened doors for me by making me aware of different things like wood working, axes, etc. I thank you for that and being able ta follow your family!
Cody, Awesome Video. Now that is something I would have never thought of is concaving the center of the log to level it out. I cant wait for the actual mounting of the anvil.
Cody should get sprint. I do, and I have unlimited. That means I can watch all of Wranglerstar's videos until my hear is content.
I agree, it feels as if I'm there. I get a lot of satisfaction when a project is completed. Its as if I did it myself. Also you have inspired me to take on projects that I probably would have paid someone to do. Keep up the good work.
I watch because its the simple joy you get from doing this stuff!
I watch you because your appreciative and positive attitude is so damn infectious. It's refreshing.
Excellent Mark, by way of Cody. Grandfathers always seem to be much smarter than we youngsters gave them credit for. Often it's after they are gone that we remember that bit of advise from our Parents and Grandparents that makes our lives better.
You are inspiring and entertaining. And I like to check out your vids while taking a break. I feel better about whatever my day gives me. Thanks!
Just so you know Cody, I am highly entertained by your channel!
BushcraftOnTracks Thank you Bushcraft,
I absolutely LOVE to hang out in someones shop, visit, shoot the breeze with a coffee or a beer be a gofer...or not...depending on my mood LOL.
I watch you because it's better than watching crap TV, and sometimes I just wanna relax and stare at a screen. Thanks, and keep on doing it.
You do a great job at what you do . Guys that complain do not use there hands for real work . Watching you figure out stuff as you go . Is what every real man does . Its who we are .
Are you freakin kidding me...I LOVE THIS!!! Keep it coming Cody. And thanks so much for your time..thanks,RickWaco, Tx
+rickswildhorses thank you
+rickswildhorses im in san antonio! haha
