That's a neat steel Larry, I'm sure you'll get it fixed up right! In the 80's I bought an E9 Emmons with 3 pedals and 4 knee levers. I carried it, a banjo, and my guitar to play clubs with a country group. I finally decided I'd never live long enough to do a lot with it, so I traded it in on a guitar.😂 I'd still like to try a lap steel sometime...maybe😅 I hope you have a very Merry Christmas my friend, I'm looking forward to more videos next year!😀
Merry Christmas Rick! Well, at this point its just a hobby, a fascinating instrument (to me) with all the mechanics really gets my brain juices flowing.. I've always been drawn to the earlier lap steel playing- the sound. And I can visually explore different tunings and work out things on a steel neck that sometimes are not apparent on a guitar neck, and then approximate it on the guitar. I really like having that capability at my fingertips. 🎸
