Anthony's reaction to hearing Kate woke up is my favorite acting moment of the whole series. Jonathan Bailey is truly a master of his craft it's incredible how much he can convey in such tiny facial expressions!
As someone with a difficult to pronounce non-English name, hearing Anthony call her kathani and it being our first time realizing that her full name isn’t Kate, I cried so hard
I love how the only thing Eloise really needed to do to find Lady Whistledown was to just...pay attention to her friend. Almost every conversation they have is basically Eloise controlling the conversation and Penelope naturally being a great listener. The one time the conversation was completely directed by Pen and Eloise actually listened, she immediately could've put the pieces together.
@@heligolightly it is not a stretch. she knows nothing about Penelope. absolutely nothing. when was the last time she really listened to pen's problems. they never even talked about pen's father dying on screen. Colin was the only one who really mentioned it in passing after confronting jack about the fake rubies. Eloise is a bad friend. all she does is take. pen was nothing more than a shelf for her to off load her complaints.

Omg yesssss! Eloise is a super selfish character and her discovery of Lady Whistledown perfectly highlighted that. That's why I loved that Penelope stood up to her and called out her jealousy. I'm not saying Penelope's actions were 100% right but Pen was not wrong in her retorts!

I love how this season ended with the main couple on a high note and everybody else in the trenches. Benedict quits art school. Eloise is hurt. Colin is gonna be confused when Pen doesn't talk to him. Pen is gonna be on a warpath next season. Heartbroken and friendless fr. Portia is probably gonna pressure her last 2 daughter to get married even more now to have a son & lock in their estate.
I didn't buy into Daphne and Simon's romance, I didn't believe it. I just saw two people who were physically attracted to each other not in love. With Kate and Anthony however, just their stares screamed "I am irrevocably and unconditionally in love with you ". Safe to say I didn't miss the Duke
Lots of great moments in this episode but I love the way Lady Featherington says “I am a MOTHER” she’s horrible but I love that moment and it doesn’t get enough credit. As horrible as she might be she’s doing it to protect her daughters
I was really disappointed that Edwina did not apologise to Kate, but instead it was only Kate having to grovel to Edwina and Mary, it was really unfair to Kate that her family never showed any true and sincere compassion, empathy and love to her. It was so obvious that Mary and Edwina treated Kate in a way that made her think they did not love her unconditionally, but rather that she had to earn their acceptance. It just broke my heart how they treated her during the season.

If I was Edwina I won’t say sorry either. Doesn’t matter how it happened or when it happened but if I found out my fiancé and sister were in love on my WEDDDING DAY I wouldn’t speak to them.
@@malaysiagloria It is interesting you focus on the one thing, which was not actually happened, but did not take all the clues in the earlier episodes as to how Edwina treated Kate, her manipulation, her lack of empathy, and her lack of care for Kate's feelings. Edwina showed no inclination to actually care about Kate, it was obvious that for 8 years Edwina and Mary made Kate feel she had to earn their love, and earn her place in the family. Kate did not know or understand her feelings at that point, because she had spent a lot of her life not receiving love, and not understanding how to love. Further Edwina never made Kate believe that her feelings were important, nor did Edwina once encourage Kate to do anything for herself, everything was meant to be done for Edwina. Edwina never once took Kate's side, never once stood up for Kate. Sorry, but Edwina owed Kate an apology for a lot more than one line in episode 6. Her behaviour and the way she treated Kate for a long time - even before they arrived in London - was so obviously shown as being selfish, uncaring, and lacking empathy for Kate. But if you think it is okay for Edwina to have treated Kate like shit for 8 years then that says more about you as a person than a character who failed the basics in showing kindness, because no matter what were are TOLD Edwina was not a kind person, she was selfish and cruel, and I have no sympathy for her being so stupid and blind that she didn't understand what she was being told, and I have no time for a character that can't show basic kindness to the person who essentially raised her.
I absolutely love the heart to heart between Anthony and his mother this episode. I’m so glad she apologized for everything that he was put through! I also loved the moment between him and his younger brother. It was really sweet.

One of the things I love the most about the books is how the younger Bridgertons consider Anthony more of a father rather than a brother and this little scene of A and G just warms my heart (specially since Anthony is kinda of Gregory's role model in various aspects). Probably an underrated opinion but i am on Pen's side. She really couldn't have come out and say she is Lady Whistledown, as she mentioned it during her talk with the tailor queen would simply think she is covering for her friend and wouldnt even see her in the first place to be honest. Even if she did, she would face serious trouble since she has been digging at Queen for a while too. While Eloise had a scandal because of what she wrote, her scandal is something that can pass. If Penelope had chosen to write about her meeting with Theo instead, saying she is there for romantic reasons, then that would be a scandal Eloise couldn't recover from because she would be "ruined." And I'm not saying it's perfect or what she did was right but she did the best thing she could because telling the truth to Eloise wouldn't help with anything either. And she gave up on being Lady Whistledown & writing after that piece so sacrificing her great passion and success should mean and show how guilty she had felt imo. Also, Eloise is all talk no bite to me. The only reason she can be so confident in everything she says and how she is different from marriage seeking young ladies etc is because she has the protection of the Bridgerton name and the wealth. She always had. Bridgertons are literally one of the most respected families in the ton since years, her brother has the title "viscount", her sister married a duke and became a "duchess", not to mention Anthony is handling all their finances and they never struggled with money. Eloise is all good on paper but when you look at reality the only reason she can be so outspoken is because she has all the chances, where others don't. And even with all the advantages she has, all she does is talk about doing stuff. So i agree with Pen on that too.
I don't believe Penelope couldn't prove to the queen she was Whistledown. She could have gone to the queen with Eloise and offered to write what the queen wanted. There are a lot ot things she could have done. The queen wanted to collaborate with Whistledown, not expose her. She wanted Whistledown to stop writing negative stuff about her all the time. Everybody who complains about Eloise being all talk and not doing things, only to complain about how she was starting to try to get involved in the feminist movement and mixing with working class people (actually things that are a big deal and a great start). But writing a scandal sheet that hurts a lot of people is considered "a great passion and success." Eloise does have privilege, but she wants to use it. Benedict and Colin have more privilege than she does--they can go to school, they can travel unchaperoned. But Eloise, the only person attempting to learn about what she needs to do with her privilege is somehow the one who is terrible and needs to be humbled. Okay, then. Good to know.
Guys, this reaction represents me. There is an incredible chemistry between Kate and Anthony that flows naturally, the sexual tension and love is expressed in the right measure. Beautiful ending.
The confrontation between El and Pen at the end I think its really important to keep some context in mind to understand where Pen is coming from. 1) just because they are friends does not mean El is entitled to Pen's secret. 2) El could choose to not marry, to not be part of society, to pursue something...her family would support her and the privileges of her family name/title and money help A LOT but she is 100% a whine about it or judge others but don’t actually do anything (just as Pen says). 3) Pen, while running in the same circles, is not a "pretty Bridgerton," her family is untitled, unpopular, treats her like trash, are just barely scraping by, and Pen herself is basically invisible because she is not pretty or thin enough-- her family would never survive the scandal as easily as the Bridgertons. 4)But despite all of her disadvantages compared to El, Pen creates a successful business on her own only for her rich, pretty, and popular friend to try to take credit for it because she didn't have the good sense to keep herself out of trouble despite knowing better. I think that childish reaction from El had more to do with jealousy and shock that Pen actually stands up for herself and calls out El. Frankly nothing Pen said was wrong and I am more surprised it hasn’t happen more than once a season.
I like the Featherington plot resolution. Portia is a Mama Bear. Although she is not a really good person, at least i admire her love and devotion to her children
Loved your reaction! This season was soo good, I think it was the better one out of the two. This episode was so emotional and I just love Anthony's development throughout these two seasons. He really became my favorite character and seeing him break down broke my heart. At the end with Penelope and Eloise's fight, I'm not sure whose side I'm on tbh. Penelope did write about things she shouldn't have but I still think Eloise was incredibly mean to Penelope. I feel like she did try to help Eloise and even if she would have told the Queen that Lady Whistledown was her and not Eloise, I think the Queen would have thought she was lying just to save her best friend. I feel bad for Penelope because I feel like Lady Whistledown gave her a voice because usually she's always ignored and seen as invisible. The fact that Eloise even said I never heard you speak like this just gives off that she doesn't really pay attention to Penelope, if she did she would have figured it out a while ago. I can't wait to see season 3 and watch Penelope's story with Colin. I really want him to work for it because he really hurt Pen at the end there. Bridgerton is such a good show, hopefully, you guys react to the spinoff Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story when it comes out.

so pen was correct about Eloise bc Eloise has never paid any attention to anyone but herself. even without the whistledown thing, she doesn't know much about pen's life. how could you not know your best friend is in love with your brother? I get that Eloise was hurt but it was necessary. having the queen ruin her family would have been way worse.
i agree with both sides. ik pen wanted to protect el but she would have nothing to protect if she wasn’t writing from the start. not to mention that there have been bad things said about el and her family before this season (wasn’t as bad) but still. pen writes bad things about the queen, king, and anyone else when they’ve done nothing to her. just because pen doesn’t like her house or has trouble with her family or can’t find a match, doesn’t mean she should talk about people for it. that’s the definition of a real life bully when you think about it

The country house is the Bridgerton family home where they are landowners and live during the rest of the year. They live in their London house during the social season, which ran during the months when parliament was in session, members who were needed to be in attendance in London and brought their families with them (the Peerage like Dukes and Viscounts would be part of parliament). The London season grew up in response to this influx of upper class people and during the Regency period would go from November through May.
what I love the most about your reaction is that you guys are cheering for the characters. kate and anthony are one of the best couples in tv shows/movies.
No matter what it is written about Eloise, she is part of a strong, very powerful and wealthy family. The London ton would never cast her off. Unlike Pen, who is already at the outskirts of society. Very few people pay attention to her. And with her family already in a lot of trouble if she came out as Lady Whistledown they would all be destroyed. She can not do it. So she chooses the less bad way I guess. Colin is confused (and not really aware) about what he feels about Pen and he would definitely not admit any interest to the other "gossipy" gentlemen at this point. In the books all these things are more naturally introduced. It makes way more sense.

Excited to see season 3... I know it's going to be a ton different from the book (which goes forward almost a decade, has Pen much more confident and self assured, and apparently slimmer *rolls eyes*). Colin in the show is less charming than Colin in the books, IMHO, so I'm really looking forward to how they handle the no-time-shift and characters being at different stages in life versus the book, and whether it will be as satisfying.

Some like their book, but it is actually Anthony's book that is the overwhelming favourite with the book readers, it always comes out on top. From a personal perspective Penelope's is my least favourite, i hate that she has to change her appearance before Colin notices her, and it seems it will be the same in the show. It doesn't send a good message to women.
Absolutely loved this season! As a South Asian woman myself, I cried basically anytime the Sharmas were on screen because it’s so rare to get positive South Asian representation in western media let alone any representation at all. I grew up not seeing much South Asian representation in the movies and shows I watched, so watching Kate & Edwina in this season felt very healing towards my inner child.

I can’t believe it’s over! I love how you guys started hating Anthony and now you guys love him! He’s such a complex character and his arc is so interesting. And the reason why we love Kate and Anthony more than the Duke and Daphne is because in season one we see two people lusting for each other, is mere passion, as for Kate and Anthony since the beginning you see there’s something there. It ignited something in Anthony the second she saw her. I don’t know, they’re the best couple in my opinion and after reading all the books, I believe there’s no one like them. Aubrey Hall is the Bridgerton country estate. Technically Kate is now the lady of all their houses, London, country and any other they have, especially ones that are entailed. Usually there is a dowager house on the estate that the widowed mother would move to when the new Lord takes over the title and takes a wife. Lady Featherington's statement about a signed letter letting one of the daughter's sons inherit isn't how title inheritance works, a title, even just a baronage cannot be willed to someone else. I've loved yalls Bridgerton reactions and how into it you have gotten. It's been so fun! Great job guys!
27:51 I'm hoping we get to see Friedrich and Edwina together in a future season. Even if we don't get their courtship so long as we see them arm in arm together at a social event that would be enough, I agree they'd make a lovely couple. Plus that would be the ultimate revenge on the Sheffields, that their granddaughter marries a prince and they're either a) not invited to the wedding in light of their treatment of Mary, Kate and Edwina, or b) some reconciliation takes place thanks to Lady Danbury's considerable diplomatic skills, but they still get seated in the back row of the church at the wedding so next to no-one can see them there. Either way, as long as we get some confirmation of seeing Friedrich and Edwina together I'll be happy, and Queen Charlotte will be happy as well because she finally paired one of her diamonds with her nephew.
We're supposed to get Benedict meeting someone (Sophie I think) as season 3, but they changed the book order around so in season 3 we're going to focus on Colin and Penelope. Looking forward to it though and to whenever we may get Benedict's focus season. In the meantime, yes, we want you to do Queen Charlotte when it comes out in May (we know we're going to get young Charlotte and young George, and the full trailer confirmed we're going to get young Violet (the Dowager Viscountess Bridgerton) and young Lady Danbury (back when she was afraid of her own shadow), leaving us wondering if it means we'll also get to see young Portia (Lady Featherington), young Mary Sheffield (Lady Sharma), and Sarah (Simon's mother - we don't know much about her apart from her dying in childbirth, other than that I think she was frightened of her husband and that Lady Danbury was her closest friend).

As hard as it is to see them at odds, what I like about the Eloise and Penelope conflict this season is that neither of them is entirely right or entirely wrong. They both made bad choices, and they both kept secrets from each other when they shouldn't have. The minute things started to spiral, Pen should have been honest with Eloise and at least given her a say in how they would handle it. While Eloise should have been less self centered and stopped to think about the potential consequences of her actions. Because we love Eloise and sympathize with her desire to make more of her life than what society currently allows, it's easy to forget that she put herself in that position. She knew from the start that if her actions ever became public knowledge, it would ruin not only herself, but could also seriously damage her family's reputation (as well as the future of her younger siblings). Yet she still chose not only to take that risk, but also to continue taking it. So it's not all on Pen. Eloise also shares a big chunk of the blame. Bottom line....they're both young, and they both made mistakes. I just hope they can work things out and reconcile, sooner rather than later. I love their friendship and will really miss it going forward for as long as they remain estranged. As for which season is my favorite, I love them both for different reasons. But if I have to choose, it would be Season 2. Can't wait for Season 3! Also can't wait for your reactions to it. Watching the three of you watching Bridgerton has been every bit as fun as watching the show itself. Thanks for sharing!

A fun fact, the last line of both season 1 & season 2 was said by Lady Bridgerton. In Season 1 it was said by Violet, and in Season 2 it was said by Kate who is the new Lady Bridgerton.

Eloise has it easier bc her family is well off so it will not matter if she doesn't marry. But Penelope never had prospects of marriage, no man was interested in her. Lady Whistledown is the way for her to live decently on her own

I agree, ultimately I realized I loved this season more because I loved Anthony more as a character, compared to Daphne. I cared about him as a person, not just in the love story, although it was amazing. It was beautifully done!
I don’t understand why some think that Pen could have just confessed to save Eloise. She couldn’t confess for the same reason that she had to save Eloise, she and her family would have been destroyed, except that they are not as strong or favored as the Bridgertons. Obviously she also wanted to save herself, but she chose what she saw as the lesser of all evils.
Btw there is a synopsis for season 3 about the set up for Colin and Penelope's story. He basically will help her in the dating scene and she in turn helps him with stuff.

I’m team Pen. Eloise literally has no reason to complain. She’s born in a wealthy family, her older brother is the viscount, her older sister married a duke, she has Benedict and Colin to rely on…what is there to complain. Pen has always been invisible and no one cared about her. Even her own family doesn’t care about her. Plus, Eloise spoke what she wanted to do in life and never did it, but Pen did what she wanted to do in life and has no shame. I feel so sorry for Pen. She deserves better.
I am team Eloise, Penelope grew up privileged and makes money by punching down and ruining women, she is vicious, petty and nasty. I feel a whole season is needed for Penelope to redeem herself and make me root for her, at this point I don't think she should be a Bridgerton.

I love how the only thing Eloise really needed to do to find Lady Whistledown was to just...pay attention to her friend. Almost every conversation they have is basically Eloise controlling the conversation and Penelope naturally being a great listener. The one time the conversation was completely directed by Pen and Eloise actually listened, she immediately could've put the pieces together.

Colin was the only one who really mentioned it in passing after confronting jack about the fake rubies. Eloise is a bad friend. all she does is take. pen was nothing more than a shelf for her to off load her complaints.

Omg yesssss! Eloise is a super selfish character and her discovery of Lady Whistledown perfectly highlighted that. That's why I loved that Penelope stood up to her and called out her jealousy. I'm not saying Penelope's actions were 100% right but Pen was not wrong in her retorts!

Portia is probably gonna pressure her last 2 daughter to get married even more now to have a son & lock in their estate.

I didn't buy into Daphne and Simon's romance, I didn't believe it. I just saw two people who were physically attracted to each other not in love. With Kate and Anthony however, just their stares screamed "I am irrevocably and unconditionally in love with you ". Safe to say I didn't miss the Duke

Lots of great moments in this episode but I love the way Lady Featherington says “I am a MOTHER” she’s horrible but I love that moment and it doesn’t get enough credit. As horrible as she might be she’s doing it to protect her daughters

I was really disappointed that Edwina did not apologise to Kate, but instead it was only Kate having to grovel to Edwina and Mary, it was really unfair to Kate that her family never showed any true and sincere compassion, empathy and love to her. It was so obvious that Mary and Edwina treated Kate in a way that made her think they did not love her unconditionally, but rather that she had to earn their acceptance. It just broke my heart how they treated her during the season.

@@malaysiagloria It is interesting you focus on the one thing, which was not actually happened, but did not take all the clues in the earlier episodes as to how Edwina treated Kate, her manipulation, her lack of empathy, and her lack of care for Kate's feelings. Edwina showed no inclination to actually care about Kate, it was obvious that for 8 years Edwina and Mary made Kate feel she had to earn their love, and earn her place in the family.
Kate did not know or understand her feelings at that point, because she had spent a lot of her life not receiving love, and not understanding how to love. Further Edwina never made Kate believe that her feelings were important, nor did Edwina once encourage Kate to do anything for herself, everything was meant to be done for Edwina. Edwina never once took Kate's side, never once stood up for Kate.
Sorry, but Edwina owed Kate an apology for a lot more than one line in episode 6. Her behaviour and the way she treated Kate for a long time - even before they arrived in London - was so obviously shown as being selfish, uncaring, and lacking empathy for Kate.
But if you think it is okay for Edwina to have treated Kate like shit for 8 years then that says more about you as a person than a character who failed the basics in showing kindness, because no matter what were are TOLD Edwina was not a kind person, she was selfish and cruel, and I have no sympathy for her being so stupid and blind that she didn't understand what she was being told, and I have no time for a character that can't show basic kindness to the person who essentially raised her.
I absolutely love the heart to heart between Anthony and his mother this episode. I’m so glad she apologized for everything that he was put through! I also loved the moment between him and his younger brother. It was really sweet.

Probably an underrated opinion but i am on Pen's side. She really couldn't have come out and say she is Lady Whistledown, as she mentioned it during her talk with the tailor queen would simply think she is covering for her friend and wouldnt even see her in the first place to be honest. Even if she did, she would face serious trouble since she has been digging at Queen for a while too. While Eloise had a scandal because of what she wrote, her scandal is something that can pass. If Penelope had chosen to write about her meeting with Theo instead, saying she is there for romantic reasons, then that would be a scandal Eloise couldn't recover from because she would be "ruined." And I'm not saying it's perfect or what she did was right but she did the best thing she could because telling the truth to Eloise wouldn't help with anything either. And she gave up on being Lady Whistledown & writing after that piece so sacrificing her great passion and success should mean and show how guilty she had felt imo. Also, Eloise is all talk no bite to me. The only reason she can be so confident in everything she says and how she is different from marriage seeking young ladies etc is because she has the protection of the Bridgerton name and the wealth. She always had. Bridgertons are literally one of the most respected families in the ton since years, her brother has the title "viscount", her sister married a duke and became a "duchess", not to mention Anthony is handling all their finances and they never struggled with money. Eloise is all good on paper but when you look at reality the only reason she can be so outspoken is because she has all the chances, where others don't. And even with all the advantages she has, all she does is talk about doing stuff. So i agree with Pen on that too.
I don't believe Penelope couldn't prove to the queen she was Whistledown. She could have gone to the queen with Eloise and offered to write what the queen wanted. There are a lot ot things she could have done. The queen wanted to collaborate with Whistledown, not expose her. She wanted Whistledown to stop writing negative stuff about her all the time. Everybody who complains about Eloise being all talk and not doing things, only to complain about how she was starting to try to get involved in the feminist movement and mixing with working class people (actually things that are a big deal and a great start). But writing a scandal sheet that hurts a lot of people is considered "a great passion and success." Eloise does have privilege, but she wants to use it. Benedict and Colin have more privilege than she does--they can go to school, they can travel unchaperoned. But Eloise, the only person attempting to learn about what she needs to do with her privilege is somehow the one who is terrible and needs to be humbled. Okay, then. Good to know.
Guys, this reaction represents me. There is an incredible chemistry between Kate and Anthony that flows naturally, the sexual tension and love is expressed in the right measure. Beautiful ending.

The confrontation between El and Pen at the end I think its really important to keep some context in mind to understand where Pen is coming from. 1) just because they are friends does not mean El is entitled to Pen's secret. 2) El could choose to not marry, to not be part of society, to pursue something...her family would support her and the privileges of her family name/title and money help A LOT but she is 100% a whine about it or judge others but don’t actually do anything (just as Pen says). 3) Pen, while running in the same circles, is not a "pretty Bridgerton," her family is untitled, unpopular, treats her like trash, are just barely scraping by, and Pen herself is basically invisible because she is not pretty or thin enough-- her family would never survive the scandal as easily as the Bridgertons. 4)But despite all of her disadvantages compared to El, Pen creates a successful business on her own only for her rich, pretty, and popular friend to try to take credit for it because she didn't have the good sense to keep herself out of trouble despite knowing better. I think that childish reaction from El had more to do with jealousy and shock that Pen actually stands up for herself and calls out El. Frankly nothing Pen said was wrong and I am more surprised it hasn’t happen more than once a season.

Loved your reaction! This season was soo good, I think it was the better one out of the two. This episode was so emotional and I just love Anthony's development throughout these two seasons. He really became my favorite character and seeing him break down broke my heart. At the end with Penelope and Eloise's fight, I'm not sure whose side I'm on tbh. Penelope did write about things she shouldn't have but I still think Eloise was incredibly mean to Penelope. I feel like she did try to help Eloise and even if she would have told the Queen that Lady Whistledown was her and not Eloise, I think the Queen would have thought she was lying just to save her best friend. I feel bad for Penelope because I feel like Lady Whistledown gave her a voice because usually she's always ignored and seen as invisible. The fact that Eloise even said I never heard you speak like this just gives off that she doesn't really pay attention to Penelope, if she did she would have figured it out a while ago. I can't wait to see season 3 and watch Penelope's story with Colin. I really want him to work for it because he really hurt Pen at the end there. Bridgerton is such a good show, hopefully, you guys react to the spinoff Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story when it comes out.

so pen was correct about Eloise bc Eloise has never paid any attention to anyone but herself. even without the whistledown thing, she doesn't know much about pen's life. how could you not know your best friend is in love with your brother? The country house is the Bridgerton family home where they are landowners and live during the rest of the year. They live in their London house during the social season, which ran during the months when parliament was in session, members who were needed to be in attendance in London and brought their families with them (the Peerage like Dukes and Viscounts would be part of parliament). The London season grew up in response to this influx of upper class people and during the Regency period would go from November through May.

what I love the most about your reaction is that you guys are cheering for the characters. kate and anthony are one of the best couples in tv shows/movies.
No matter what it is written about Eloise, she is part of a strong, very powerful and wealthy family. The London ton would never cast her off. Unlike Pen, who is already at the outskirts of society. Very few people pay attention to her. And with her family already in a lot of trouble if she came out as Lady Whistledown they would all be destroyed. She can not do it. So she chooses the less bad way I guess.
Colin is confused (and not really aware) about what he feels about Pen and he would definitely not admit any interest to the other "gossipy" gentlemen at this point.
In the books all these things are more naturally introduced. It makes way more sense.

Excited to see season 3... I know it's going to be a ton different from the book (which goes forward almost a decade, has Pen much more confident and self assured, and apparently slimmer *rolls eyes*). Colin in the show is less charming than Colin in the books, IMHO, so I'm really looking forward to how they handle the no-time-shift and characters being at different stages in life versus the book, and whether it will be as satisfying.

Some like their book, but it is actually Anthony's book that is the overwhelming favourite with the book readers, it always comes out on top. From a personal perspective Penelope's is my least favourite, i hate that she has to change her appearance before Colin notices her, and it seems it will be the same in the show. It doesn't send a good message to women.

Absolutely loved this season! As a South Asian woman myself, I cried basically anytime the Sharmas were on screen because it’s so rare to get positive South Asian representation in western media let alone any representation at all. I grew up not seeing much South Asian representation in the movies and shows I watched, so watching Kate & Edwina in this season felt very healing towards my inner child.
This has been such a fun journey to take with you guys. Thanks for being willing to step out of your comfort zone and give it a chance. Will you be watching the Queen Charlotte show? I hope so
I can’t believe it’s over! I love how you guys started hating Anthony and now you guys love him! He’s such a complex character and his arc is so interesting. And the reason why we love Kate and Anthony more than the Duke and Daphne is because in season one we see two people lusting for each other, is mere passion, as for Kate and Anthony since the beginning you see there’s something there. It ignited something in Anthony the second she saw her. I don’t know, they’re the best couple in my opinion and after reading all the books, I believe there’s no one like them. Can’t wait for the new season and the spin-off with the queen, sooo excited!

Aubrey Hall is the Bridgerton country estate. Technically Kate is now the lady of all their houses, London, country and any other they have, especially ones that are entailed. Usually there is a dowager house on the estate that the widowed mother would move to when the new Lord takes over the title and takes a wife.
Lady Featherington's statement about a signed letter letting one of the daughter's sons inherit isn't how title inheritance works, a title, even just a baronage cannot be willed to someone else.

27:51 I'm hoping we get to see Friedrich and Edwina together in a future season. Even if we don't get their courtship so long as we see them arm in arm together at a social event that would be enough, I agree they'd make a lovely couple.
Plus that would be the ultimate revenge on the Sheffields, that their granddaughter marries a prince and they're either a) not invited to the wedding in light of their treatment of Mary, Kate and Edwina, or b) some reconciliation takes place thanks to Lady Danbury's considerable diplomatic skills, but they still get seated in the back row of the church at the wedding so next to no-one can see them there.
Either way, as long as we get some confirmation of seeing Friedrich and Edwina together I'll be happy, and Queen Charlotte will be happy as well because she finally paired one of her diamonds with her nephew.
We're supposed to get Benedict meeting someone (Sophie I think) as season 3, but they changed the book order around so in season 3 we're going to focus on Colin and Penelope. Looking forward to it though and to whenever we may get Benedict's focus season.
In the meantime, yes, we want you to do Queen Charlotte when it comes out in May (we know we're going to get young Charlotte and young George, and the full trailer confirmed we're going to get young Violet (the Dowager Viscountess Bridgerton) and young Lady Danbury (back when she was afraid of her own shadow), leaving us wondering if it means we'll also get to see young Portia (Lady Featherington), young Mary Sheffield (Lady Sharma), and Sarah (Simon's mother - we don't know much about her apart from her dying in childbirth, other than that I think she was frightened of her husband and that Lady Danbury was her closest friend).
They better set up Benedict for season 4 during season 3.

As hard as it is to see them at odds, what I like about the Eloise and Penelope conflict this season is that neither of them is entirely right or entirely wrong. They both made bad choices, and they both kept secrets from each other when they shouldn't have. The minute things started to spiral, Pen should have been honest with Eloise and at least given her a say in how they would handle it. While Eloise should have been less self centered and stopped to think about the potential consequences of her actions.
Because we love Eloise and sympathize with her desire to make more of her life than what society currently allows, it's easy to forget that she put herself in that position. She knew from the start that if her actions ever became public knowledge, it would ruin not only herself, but could also seriously damage her family's reputation (as well as the future of her younger siblings). Bottom line....they're both young, and they both made mistakes.
I just hope they can work things out and reconcile, sooner rather than later. I love their friendship and will really miss it going forward for as long as they remain estranged.
As for which season is my favorite, I love them both for different reasons. But if I have to choose, it would be Season 2. Can't wait for Season 3! Also can't wait for your reactions to it. Also, if you think about it, this is Penelope's livehood. Eloise has it easier bc her family is well off so it will not matter if she doesn't marry. But Penelope never had prospects of marriage, no man was interested in her. Lady Whistledown is the way for her to live decently on her own

I agree, ultimately I realized I loved this season more because I loved Anthony more as a character, compared to Daphne. I cared about him as a person, not just in the love story, although it was amazing. It was beautifully done!
I don’t understand why some think that Pen could have just confessed to save Eloise. She couldn’t confess for the same reason that she had to save Eloise, she and her family would have been destroyed, except that they are not as strong or favored as the Bridgertons. Obviously she also wanted to save herself, but she chose what she saw as the lesser of all evils.

So every season they actually use the book titles for as one of the episode titles so, Daphnes book was the Duke and I, Anthonys book was "The Viscount who loved me"; So, we should expect them to follow this theme with when the rest of the Bridgerton's find love in the future seasons.

I’m team Pen. Eloise literally has no reason to complain. She’s born in a wealthy family, her older brother is the viscount, her older sister married a duke, she has Benedict and Colin to rely on…what is there to complain. Pen has always been invisible and no one cared about her. Even her own family doesn’t care about her. Plus, Eloise spoke what she wanted to do in life and never did it, but Pen did what she wanted to do in life and has no shame. I feel so sorry for Pen. She deserves better.
I am team Eloise, Penelope grew up privileged and makes money by punching down and ruining women, she is vicious, petty and nasty. I feel a whole season is needed for Penelope to redeem herself and make me root for her, at this point I don't think she should be a Bridgerton.
