Love how based Swan is even challenging cultural Marxism but our formative years have trained us to trust the fiat system and to find 2% inflation and Keynesian policies "normal". Truth be told none of the government policies have really been Keynesian because that would mean you cut spending from time to time (during overheated markets, high conjuncture) instead of increasing spend consistenly.
Yes that was in the formative years too. There is an early retraining of the mind, but many board games, and non-woke children books establish simple economic principles. Communism and Keynesianism is added later

Retail doesn't care about Bitcoin. I don't know any normies who are buying BTC any more. New buyers have been put off by the wild price swings, FTX, unit bias etc.

It’s true… the sentiment is bad right now. Tried talking to a coworker about bitcoin and told me go invest in a vanguard fund and put only 5% into bitcoin and how bitcoin is intangible and therefore has no value and how after ftx bitcoin never to be trusted again 🤦.
Unfortunately things that have nothing to do with bitcoin have tarnished its perception. A lot of people now think they know more than they actually do

Bitcoin is not an invest; it is money. Before Bitcoin, i did not divide my wealth up into dollars, yen, euros and pesos?!? I picked the strongest one at the time. Third world citizens get it but we can’t in the west because our thinking of distorted with respect to what money is.

@@SerUlric hah getting deep now. But since you asked... I often hear Bitcoin referred to as truth. Objective, immutable truth. It fascinates me that multiple people discover that. Truth can be found in the temporal sphere, to which Bitcoin belongs, as it can in the spiritual. For me, as long as Bitcoin doesn't present a conflict between the two spheres, I plan to keep stacking. If a conflict does arise, I will abandon the temporal sphere in favor of the spiritual, and consider it a low-risk asymmetric investment.

The unknowns are still unknowable. The Bible says to divide your investments by 7 or 8 and in time they will return to you. It’s tempting to go all in on btc but maybe not wise. Just my opinion.

But the Bible also talks a lot about fools doing dumb things on purpose.
And I now classify holding fiat that will lose 99% of its value with 100% certainty as one of those dumb moves.
Then let only one of those 7 or 8 be settled back to you in FIAT. btw, BTC is not settled back to you in FIAT (unless you elect that), rather it is in Satoshi units. We will someday witness Dollar General stores convert to Satoshi General stores.

Think about it from your family member's perspective... they ask you a legitimate question because they value your financial advice, you laugh at them first and then put down their idea that they feel is the best move for them at this time.
Why not praise them for looking to get a yield on their cash and tell them that you'd recommend only using those savings accounts for cash you'll need in the near term.
Making people feel bad because they're not as far along the journey as we are is a bad look for a Bitcoin educator.
Every family is different, but as they are a litigator professionally, they can handle arguments and objective discourse. Just like no magic chart will convert, neither will soft lies.
