Welsh Rugby will be back. A true Rugby nation that has the respect of us South Africans. Have a feeling that you will be back stronger in the six nations.
Hard to pick out the critical problem, as there are so many. But one is that we just dont know how to go into contact. The lack of continuity in selection - some of it forced - is critical to that. When you don't know how your team-mates will shape up to support you, you end up going it alone and getting smashed/struggling to hold possession
I agree with the comment. If we want to make metres then we need to pass the ball accurately. Nearly all of our passes are behind where they should be. Good coaches sort this out before everything else. It’s exactly what Schmidt started with at both Ireland and the Wallabies.
I actually think we need to embrace our qualities. The best team I played in had quick backs and a quick, but not large pack. We need to accept that our large players aren’t powerful, so we should pick the smaller, dynamic players. At least we’d then have a USP. Sadly, Gatland wouldn’t be the right coach for it. Something like: Thomas Lake Griffin/Thomas/Francis? Thomas Williams/Beard Botham Morgan Wainwright Tomos Grady Edwards Thomas/James Page/Roberts Dyer Rogers Lake Griffin
A lot of the commentary here was negative about the players, but as an outsider I wondered if the Wales players just weren't properly trained. Their defensive system didn't seem great.
Wales A Carre Parry Francis Fender Teddy Williams Lewis-Hughes Basham Morris Morgan-W Edwards Hathaway Kieran Williams Macs Page Giles Ioan Lloyd I reckon it with give our full side a beating 🤦♂️
@@wrrappodcast gatts ! Is he going? I won't miss him or his smart niggling comments about Ireland...he was /is great coach...I hate losing to Wales, but the 6nations is only half dressed without a strong Wales....is there the same passion for the provisional teams as there was for the great clubs like Neath etc ...how do u fix it?....get rid of provisional teams?
Cheers for having me on guys, I had a great time 🏴🏴🏴
A pleasure - you are welcome anytime

Yes James, yes, I am with you there, Wales A would be a big help. Lets give it a shot!!!
Btw nice boxes 😂
Rassie said afterwards that the Boks were surprised by the good rush defense from Wales.
Scoreboard says different

True - the breakdown has been very poor - either avoid it or do it properly!
"Are they a unit?" is everything wrong with welsh rugby. Intelligence and ball skills should come before size.
Surely it is a balance between them all?

Love your honesty 😂
If the WRU had some balls they would sack Howley. If Gatland wants to quit because of that decision, that’s his choice.

I did say they’re being set up to fail and the defensive system is poor
@jamesrees1486 Actually you did. Apologies. I thought there would be more of a Gatlin assessment but presumably you've had that in earlier episodes.
