Man I love this game, but ruffle makes it slightly janky and local flash too. Never found another td I liked this much, any recs? I love the fact that all the "towers" start the same and the combo mechanics!
I agree, this game is a classic which is why I wanted to return to this childhood classic, even for just one video. I have two recommendations: Gemcraft and Emoticon Defense. Gemcraft is a tower defense game where you create gems with various abilities and place them on towers and they'll attack oncoming enemies who will take the shortest route to your base. If I remember correctly, the gems all cost the same amount, but their abilities are what make them different. Additionally, you can upgrade gems by combining them, and gems which are made from two different kinds of gems combined will have slightly weaker versions of the abilities of both of its parent gems. Emoticon defense is a game I didn't play very much but from what I remember it's pretty much the same as Mushroom Farm Defense but with emoticons. You can give them accessories which will make them into the emojis we're more familiar with, and each one will have unique abilities. If I remember correctly it doesn't have an elemental weakness/strength system though, and the graphics weren't fantastic. Not a bad way to pass time if you want something similar to Mushroom Farm revolution though. Out of the two, I prefer Gemcraft as you can place walls which can change the path of the monsters and destroy your gems for a quick burst of power if you're desperate. It also has more mechanics and levels which makes it a very full feeling game. I don't remember which of them I played, but I assume the mechanics remain largely the same throughout. I also am biased towards Mushroom Farm Revolution over Emoticon Defense, as it's one of my favorite childhood games.
