Thank you for this brilliant tutorial. My question is : what you can do to overwrite or update dataset or data source for a published and shared dashbord (link) ? I mean is it possible to update data without sharing again the same dashboard link? Thank you.
Very good video. But it seems very difficult to select the para. in cloud Power BI. If I want to use a slicer value to select the sourec file, how can I do?
Is it possible for an end user to switch the data source using Power Automate? I want an end user to be able to click a button, have it prompt them to upload a file to SharePoint, and then automatically update the data source with the file they just uploaded. Is this possible?
Hi. What if your dataset is a Power BI dataset? Is it possible to parameterise the connection to different Power BI datasets. I have come to understand that best practice is to have separate Power BI datasets from the Power BI reports. This has all made sense to me until I have recently tried to implement Deployment pipelines. I can paramterise my conncetions within my model PBIX file, and then use the pipelines to change these connections from Dev, Test and Production. However, for my report pipeline I cannot see how I can switch my reports to point from the dev model to the test model, and then the production model as the report is passed through the pipeline. Have I missed something obvious?
This is the exact thing I was looking for. You explained super clear. Thank you ! 🙏
It was an amazing lesson, straight to the point, and very educational. Thank you very much.
Thank you for clear explication!
instead of doing it in parameter, can we do the same in slicer, so that the end users can easily switch between diff data sources ?
In the home ribbon we have an edit parameter option that the user can easily toggle Between env(s)
Awesome! Thank you so much!
Great Tutorial !
Great Job!!!

Can we do same thing to change Sheets Dynamically using Parameters. if do, pls do a video
Hi, would you recommend the Google DA course?
Hi, how can we change the source if the report is published in powerbi service which required schedule refresh. Could you suggest on this
check deployment pipelines
What if I want to use the Test and Prod data. I don't want it to overwrite the information that I have. Is this possible?

hi... do you have training session
Hi Ivan, at the moment I don't do training sessions but perhaps I will organise something in the future!
what if we publish the report in powerBI services then how we can change source there?
The solution should still work, as long as the source files are stored in an online source (eg SharePoint, OneDrive, etc)
@@SolutionsAbroadbut in service will the parameter list drop down appear? as I can only find textboxes filled with default values under parameters
