For anyone looking for a solution regarding referencing Character stat, actually, you can do that, you just have to have an actor in the scene selected, and then instead of adding the @character.stat.damage for instance in the Item formula, you just add @stat.damage, this will use the selected actor as a reference, that's why you don't need to add the @character
I have enjoyed the three videos you have done about the SW system. So thank you! I did create a fillable PDF and it works fine. However, I am wondering if you know if there's a way to replicate what SW+ used to do with the attributes in the description of the Actor sheet (SW+ no longer works). I want my players to be able to click on the character sheets. Thank you, again!
As for not being able to write a formula in items that call attributes from actors, that is an issue in other systems as well. It seems to be a Foundry problem, not a system problem. And it's not really a problem so much as just the way it's designed to keep it simple and genetic and not cause errors. If you built it from the ground up to be integrated and not modular (having various system styles a'la dnd, Pathfinder, etc) then probably you could make it work both ways. But as it is unlikely to change.
Thanks for this informative segment. Couple of queries. Wondering if they have sorted out the item issue and referencing the actors stats? What's the best way to display this character sheet once you have all the information, numbers & formulae set up?
Personally I prefer to use a PDF character sheet using PDFoundry. There is a brand new module called Powercards for the Simple Worldbuilding System that does some lovely formatting in the chat window.
is there any documentation for SW? I see some for the SW+ but nothing for the core. how did you learn about these features? also, and this is really a simple question. how do i get a "saving throw" vs an Attribute, like i wanted the player to click on the dice, and roll a 1d6 against might? thank you for all of this!
There is very little documentation for it apart from their respective git pages. I have tended to use PDFfoundry and a dice roller for non system games as easier to get it up and running.
@@dragonsarerealpodcast How would you edit a PDF to be able to do similar things using PDF Foundry? Currently trying to setup Fallout 2D20 using PDF Foundry & want to display Luck as well as come up with a way for the 2d20 systems target numbers to work as it is a roll under system.
There has been several changes to FoundryVTT and Simpleworld Building since I made this video instead of using: ..value depending on your Foundry version use: Ver 9: data.attributes...value Ver 10: system.attributes...value
It's finally getting to a point in which Simple Worldbuilding can do at least half of the advertised things in Foundry that after buying, you realized it wasn't Foundry itself, but the systems.
I see you comment about powercards, you use? I try but, example in git, dont work. !power {{ --emote|Mouse stabs viciously at her foe with a jagged shortsword. --title|Shortsword }} You know something about?

Is there a way to get items to adjust the resource values? Such as, base health + amulet of health = resource health value

@@dragonsarerealpodcast Not sure what Power Cards are? Is this a Module or a Game System. I couldn't find it.

The powercards module is only beta and I believe Sky on the Foundry Discord is the dev. Perhaps contact him there or leave an issue on he git.
