    How many packs of clay did this take? Also what did you do to make the apples shiny? Anyway, great job as always

    • @sculptednostalgia
      @sculptednostalgia  4 года назад +1

      Cynical Scorpio A lot. Probably over 70 packs but I’m not exactly sure I wasn’t counting. As for the apples I put a gloss on them after baking. Thanks for the nice feedback! 😄

  • @Kerobyxclay
    @Kerobyxclay 4 года назад

    did you sand the body to get it so smooth?

    • @sculptednostalgia
      @sculptednostalgia  4 года назад

      Kerobyx I did! I sand all my sculptures because otherwise the clay is uneven, with sanding you can get much smoother better looking results. Especially on fine details as well.

    • @Kerobyxclay
      @Kerobyxclay 2 года назад

      @@sculptednostalgia Do you paint them after sanding? Because you don't have sanding marks in it at all.

    • @sculptednostalgia
      @sculptednostalgia  2 года назад

      @@Kerobyxclay so when I was using polymer clay, the trick I found worked was to put Vaseline on the piece after you sand it and then put it back in the oven, the Vaseline will get rid of the scratch marks and it won’t look like it was sanded ever.

    • @Kerobyxclay
      @Kerobyxclay 2 года назад

      @@sculptednostalgia wow that's completely new to me. You're not just messing with me so I ruin my next figure? ;)

    • @sculptednostalgia
      @sculptednostalgia  2 года назад

      @@Kerobyxclay hahaha no that was what I actually did for all my polymer clay pieces. It’s quite effective, cause otherwise you have what you were saying like a bunch of sanding marks and it looks bad
