I voted for vintage survival not because I dislike this series but because I really like survival series, this one is great as well but if I have to choose I like survival series more.
Has anyone watched the restoration on Daggerwins other channel Machinery Restorer? Wow that Westwood tractor looks like it has come out the factory. Great effort there Daggerwin. Always worth waiting for your achievement 😊😊
Loved this series but voted for you to move on because I miss the Vintage Survival series. Hopefully no excessive charges for using machines as that ended the last series.
I hope you do more "realistic" series in the future. I voted for Vintage because FS25 won't have many mods until next year, and because this map isn't particularly suited for your style of play. To progress your game in half-hour episodes with first-person gameplay, you need to use large equipment that doesn't fit on the map. The fields are expensive, so it's hard to expand. The map is mostly grassland, so you can't really introduce more crops without transforming it. And the farmyards are ridiculously bumpy. It is a pretty map, and it looks like it would be fun to play a grassland game on it, and I've really enjoyed the introduction to all of these immersion mods, but where do you really go from here? With a vintage game, you usually choose a map with a lot of small, cheap fields, and you can do more timelapses and jump-cuts because you're not trying to demonstrate the first-person features as much.
By the way, this series was my first chance to see the Enhanced Loan System mod in action, and I've added it to my game. This series allowed you to introduce so many mods that you don't usually use, and it has been a great success in that regard.
Daggerwin, I loved this series and will miss it! I voted to move farms and stay. That said, I really enjoy survival style series too, especially the start when you can really see progress. I've enjoyed your vintage runs so I'll look forward to the new series as well. That said, I hope you can continue to incorporate realistic aspects like the loan system mod and seasonal growth because it really does feel more immersive! Keep up the good work.
I voted for a new series. Here's why: While playing FPV it feels natural because that is how you drive IRL, and I do prefer playing FS in 1st person, however for watching a play-through, well, imagine an entire movie shot from one single perspective. It would get repetitive regardless of what's going on. Even action scenes shot in first person feel odd because while the character may know/sense/feel what's going on around, a viewer can not. So as a viewer you get glimpses of the surroundings and then have to remember or mentally track what's happening. Additionally, unlike in a movie where action and the most detailed/interesting things are right in front of the camera, and background is often not nearly as detailed, in gameplay it is different. Everything is equally "potentially interesting", such as a bale rolling off the forks is just as funny as a bale rolling down the hill into an awkward spot (bonus points for Daggerwin not being able to find said bale later on while we the audience know exactly where it went). Lastly, things like connecting hoses or closing doors just get repetitive. There is nothing even potentially different (unlike IRL where you may connect equipment to a different hydraulic port, then explain that maybe you want to plug in an additional thing into the "usual" place) from one action to another. So doing those things just slows down the gameplay, especially if you are doing it many times in an episode. Loading with a lift is different though. For one, you can stack things in different ways (neat tight stacks done with a loader are just beautiful!), and two: gravity and Dagg quite often don't get along :D At least that is my personal reasoning for a new series.
The best part of this video is when dagggerwin got oiled up and slithered through the grass field, caressing the long blades of grass as he went, cheeks glimmering in the sun. What a sight that was.
@cheatingiscompeting3647 I would of had a small tractor for yard use 1 big tractor for field work and hauling. And smaller low loader for bales and pallets. That's all I would change, everything else I think was spot on! Ohhhh apart from the articulated jcb. I'd would of had the telehandler from the start. And I'd add trade machinery in or swaps
My opinion Daggerwin on a new vintage survival series. Think we need a twist. Let's look at fresh of perhaps your new to the area, with £1000 in your bank, out camping and exploring the area(UK map). You find a tractor for sale for pittance £500 and buy it, in the local village there is a local young farmers fair and you from here decide the storyline. Vintage and survival.
For the next Vintage Survival, I don't think there is any real need to start with very small equipment (like the walk behind cultivator), things like that really make the series slow. I think it's worth getting "bigger" Vintage equipment to start with
Your vintage playthroughs are so much fun and are the most interesting thing you do. I do love aeverything that you do, but vintage is by far the best :)
I have really enjoyed this series but i'm just not used to opening tractor doors or manual attach some things eat up time i love your commitment to the style you choose to play, i love vintage survival one of the limitations has usually been the vintage combines but there are a few now to choose from including a Massey ;) one map i would love to see you play has just come out it's Vintage Oaks by Farm sim Brisko and is a 4X map that has hundreds of fields from small to huge which would let you run from old to brand new machinery , with around 19 farms to choose from it's a stunning map which i am playing i think it would suit your play and it's the type of map you would really like, Heres hoping you choose that map
I'd do vintage survival on a British map, start with a 100 series massey or something. I know there's a small farm area right at the bottom of court farms which could be good for it
I voted for this series didn't want to see it end. I feel like not enough time is being spent on modern series. The one that was 200 episodes was amazing I wish he would do one like that again. Not a fan of vintage survival takes forever for it to get going and all the old machines not my jam. I understand ppl love it and it's popular. Just wish we could stick to the modern stuff. Or he starts vintage wit all the machines he needs right off the bat. Anyway you do you ill try an watch vintage I dunno we will see.
I voted to continue this series , I understand you wanna go with the majority but I really like this style of lets plays over the survival challenges reminds me of the fs15 and fs17 days with coldbrough park farm and sandy bay and all those good maps
Cant believe how far this little farm has come. You don't even have a silo! There were no real fields to use but you have created some good ones now. I would have passed on this derelict land, but look at you go! Nice one.
I love your vintage survival series, however it seems that in nearly every series you do of it, you use the same machines and implements across each series.
And I know that there are a limited number of machines to choose from because mods, so maybe just do a survival series in general. Modern machines and implements included
No dagggerwin this series has being absolutely fantastic and you have done very well with it I would say it’s a success and you have done many things with this series your doing amazing and I bet when you do start a new vintage survival series in the next week or two this vintage survival series will be just as amazing as fairhead series keep going daggerwin your doing alright Yes those dolly trailers what a nightmare I have them in FS 20 and FS 23 they are a nightmare to reverse and you should see my awful attempts to reverse a double attached trailers in ETS 2 at the delivery points I just cannot get that dolly trailer in a straight line in the delivery point it keeps going out of line I had like over 20 attempts and getting frustrated 😩
Not sure if it was mentioned or not, but what about trying a few different maps you wanted to try but didn't, or never had a chance too? or try and fill your time til F25 releases, with different things? or just play it how you want too? just ideas.
Disappointing to be moving on from this, I'm one of the original viewers from your Kaveswell 15 and Thornton 15 era so those style vids are the best imo. Still, got to cater to the majority I suppose.
Loving this series and the change up in style you tried with it. But I have been missing Vintage Survival. I had hoped you would do one more before FS25, and when you suggested it as an option, I couldn't help but vote for it.
Unfortunate to kill the realistic series for a vintage survival, but that's democracy Hopefully you keep at least a moderate amount of realism for vintage survival!
Loved this series, but the people (+numbers) have spoken! I think using the loan system for vintage survival will really help, my suggestion is that you can only borrow an amount less than or equal to the net worth of your machines + land? That would add an element of elascticity to the amount you can borrow as you progress.
Everyone likes the realistic series I feel (Not complaining I’m not into when they go off basic farming like forestry or vineyards and stuff) But the survival stuff is what everyone really likes
I can say as someone who actually works on a farm you would be surprised how often the Bale string breaks which results in having to use a pitchfork and unload it in the bucket of a tractor to feed cows
FS25 is right around the corner. in less then 3 months, we all could get something even better then this, not saying that this is bad. i love the series but fs25 is SO CLOSE
I think its things like the in cab view only and no tabbing that puts people off. The old semi-realistic series from the days of Oakfield Farm etc were great!
i love this realistic challenge, tho what matters is what you enjoy. some of the realistic stuffs might follow along to other series? like interactive control or something small like that that doesnt effect the gameplay too much. love your work keep it up 💕
I love this series and I think it's great. However, I really would love to see another vintage survival like the one in fs19. Thanks for this series as it did really start to show what farmers have to got through every year. Keep up the good work. 😀😀😀
I like this series, While others series you can jump around and do things easier, I enjoy watching the challenge you have to face.. I say if you are enjoying it, keep it going.
I love this series but like someone else said i probably like vintage survival more! Obviously I'd love ro have them both but understand that that isn't possible so out of the two and because this series has been going on for a while I'd prefer vintage survival
I also voted to move on, but I have nothing against you trying to play realistic. For me its just the map which is not that enjoyable to watch, altough the map itself looks nice ^^
I have been enjoying this realistic series, but I voted to move on because this map is frustrating to watch with all of the tight gateways. And don't get me started on the machinery store yard.
If you use that small field at entrance, by backing up header trailer from that field into pathway leading up to your field, should be minimal crop destruction. Also can attach header to combine on path
I hate people who upload a 4k video with such a low bit rate that it looks like 480p. However, this video looked good and you can definitely see the difference 👍
Daggerwin, I would love a one off mod review video or a mod list in the vid description, same for co-op survival as I like to give it a go myself but get lost trying to create fields with a cultivator 😂😂😂
I'd love if you downloaded the David Brown mod and use their tractors in vintage survival. This and using a kuhn haybob. It is a tedder and windrower all in one. Always used on the smaller farms near me when I was younger.
I did have 2 ideas for some short series, I had hoped you might try and have some fun with before getting into any big series. 1st idea was an ECO challenge, trying to do everything as environmentally friendly as possible, using slurry and weeder. 2nd Idea was a farm hand series, were you travelled from map to map doing like 6 episodes per map. bit of Map showcase/role play as travelling the world help out farmers.
You did the poll and decided based on the minority (paying members) that get your videos in advance, by the time the videos were released to the majority it was already decided. I guess that shows how much you value $ over the majority of your audience that put your channel were it is now, very short sighted 👍 the irony of you saying you "like things to be done right" in your last video is not lost on me.
@@jbeattie02 same, this guy doesn't care about his core audience imo. Even the title of this video is a lie "we" (the majority did not decide) him and his minions have. I'm new to fs22 I followed this series to learn and would have considered the membership if he wasn't pay walling episodes and doing this kind of stuff it's been so frustrating trying to follow along, then to be treated like my time, sub, support, views and likes are worthless is the final straw. I even got attacked for mentioning I was having trouble playing along due to the paywalling in the episode comments a few episodes back. It's all pretty toxic. I'm going to find a creator that values their audience more than a few quid. As I said above it's all very short sighted.
@El-Jefe he was going through some personal stuff and spending most of his time on his other channel, so started this series as it took up less of his time. Every video he released there'd be people harassing about not doing roleplay series that didn't care about what he had going on. Those of us that supported by quietly enjoying this series have lost out without even having a chance to vote. I've gone looking for the poll just now and no sign of it. Vintage survival has been done to death by loads of creators, this was a breathe of fresh air. I'll have to find someone else doing something a bit different
there is also a mod called be aware of straw I think what this mod does is it makes the combine able to pick up straw again but if it does the amount of straw that comes out again is smaller
He did the poll and decided based on paying members who get his videos in advance by the time the videos were released to the majority it was already decided.
Loved this series and play style, but for me it was the map itself. Just not feeling it anymore, with that big hole out side of the sheep and the way the animal dealer the map felt alittle rushed in places but yet so beautiful at the same time.
I do not think people dislike this series, I think you just put it in a vote where it was always going to lose. People really like vintage survival too. This series is (And has been) great. Absolutely the best you have done in ages. I do not get that people would find it repetitive. I mean we all play the game and it is absolutely repetitive anyway. But if it is what you want to do, then also fine. I get that this sort of play style can get boring for the player too. Views wise it seemed to be doing better than Edgewater. Personally I do not care if things are ultra realistic. It is the gratuitous use of super strength that I find is sometimes a little overdone. There is a happy medium. Honestly, I enjoy watching you play and listening to you. I watch because it is you playing, not so much because of how you play.
Vintage survival is okay; but remember "Haut-Beyleron' Your videos were much more relaxed, certainly not ultra realistic and you enjoyed the series along with everyone else. I for one am growing old of anything SURVIVAL, for it has been beat to death. Why not start a vintage farm with all the vintage equipment (starting on a decent farm) with the goal of upgrading equipment, doing contracts and purchasing land/productions as time goes by. IMHO 1st person view is over-rated. Please try loading bales/pallets Manually onto an autoload trailer; there is nothing more cringe worthy than seeing a ridiculously stacked trailer (SO UNREALISTIC) I am a huge fan, but some things are growing old.
I voted for vintage survival not because I dislike this series but because I really like survival series, this one is great as well but if I have to choose I like survival series more.
Completely agree 👍
True vintage survival is always fun
Totally agree, realistic series is fab but vintage survival thats on a different level that nutting can compete with.
Also: a realistic series can be done on fs25 from the start, but for vintage survival we need mods
You could total up what you make money wise at the end of this series and then use 15% of the total to start up the vintage survival
Has anyone watched the restoration on Daggerwins other channel Machinery Restorer? Wow that Westwood tractor looks like it has come out the factory. Great effort there Daggerwin. Always worth waiting for your achievement 😊😊
@@krisshutler it’s really cool that he collects all those machines
Nothing wrong with this series at all, I thoroughly enjoy it. Vintage survival is just better.

Enjoying the series, not the map if I am honest. There's just too many issues with the map IMO.
This is a really good series but the idea of vintage survival is one of my favourite ways to play this game.

what this mod does is it makes the combine able to pick up straw again but if it does the amount of straw that comes out again is smaller
I’ve enjoyed this series
Thanks for another great episode
I love the idea of moving farm
He did the poll and decided based on paying members who get his videos in advance by the time the videos were released to the majority it was already decided.
Dagger i loves this series
with the dollie trailers there is a mod that locks the front axle
this is a thing in real life too
id love to see landersum map in realistic series
Loved this series and play style, but for me it was the map itself. Just not feeling it anymore, with that big hole out side of the sheep and the way the animal dealer the map felt alittle rushed in places but yet so beautiful at the same time.
Yayy! Way to go, Daggerwin.
Daggerwin, don’t you have a grain silo at the front next to the sheep rather than pouring the grain in the floor of one of your sheds?
That's a seed and mineral feed container.
Missed the vote. Do whatever you enjoy most!
I don’t like The tightness on the map,
Love you first person view when beside the harvester unloading, looked very realistic.👍
Vintage survival must one hundred or more episodes
Do the jump next to the red trailer 😊
Has survival roleplay been cancelled?
When do we get survival roleplay back
When is survival roleplay coming back on Saturday
I think you can do 40 episodes and then move on to vintage survival.
Does this have a full mods list tried finding it but can't
I like this series but I prefer vintage survival especially since I have a Ferguson ted 20
Ya
Ive enjoyed the realistic aspect but not a fan of the map, I think survival themes always tend to be more interesting
You should do vintage survival on a n uk map. Maybe on court sibce the court letsplay failed
