Andy, Garrett, and Will, I can’t thank you guys enough for putting such a beautiful video out about my favorite course. The footage and your always wonderful insights expressed perfectly why it instantly became my favorite course. “It’s a golf course you can play every day and never get tired of and learn something new every time” was what I told my boss after playing it for the first time. The course is really hard but not stressful in the sense of losing balls. The shots themselves are just a joy to play. Is there a place you’d rather have a bucket of balls to play a shot over and over than the 2nd shot on 18? Sending a long approach up the left and watching it move and move and move to the right is my favorite moment every year. My brother, a huge trails fan, even concedes that the opening 8 holes is the best stretch of golf on the property for the pure enjoyment of playing the shots. I’m so grateful to you for doing this. You guys are the best!

Absolutely love these. At first I (selfishly) wished they came out in podcast form, but you’ve done a great job of incorporating course footage to enhance the conversation. Truly a joy to watch. You guys are making smarter golfers with these videos.

I have a trip planned next weekend playing Old Mac, Trails, And Pac Dunes, and I just stumbled upon these Fried Egg Guides while poking around youtube. What an absolute treat to have such a high quality production and insightful conversation about all 3 courses! Definitely builds the anticipation and enhances the overall enjoyment of playing rounds on these courses! The view counts are not indicative of the quality of these videos whatsoever

Old Mac is my favorite Bandon course. But I do believe the greens are a bit severe. Links courses in Ireland and Scotland are much flatter for the most part. I play Old Mac every chance I get but hardest course at Bandon to score on. Good video by the way!

Old Macdonald is a good example that shows most golfers have no idea what a great golf course is. Most golfers are just there for the views. It is a course where higher handicaps can have their best rounds and lower handicaps their worst.

Having played the Bandon courses many times over the years. this roundtable series points out design details I'd never thought of. Great stuff. I agree about holes 9 thru 13; tough holes traversing back and forth over the valley floor. A player can lose focus when they perhaps most need it. Disappointed to see this is the final edition at Bandon. None for Sheep Ranch and Bandon Dunes?

Played Old Mac 7 or 8 times over the years. Most of those rounds have been in brutal combinations of bitter cold, wind, and rain. One of the most enjoyable of those cold, rainy rounds was when my group was being held up by the group in front, and we decided to skip holes 10-12 by cutting over to 13 tee from 9 green. Much more pleasurable course if you skip those holes... ;)

Too many long par 4s imo. Both times I've played were in February so the wind feels like it is hurting on a lot of the holes. I might have a different opinion if I played in the summer.

I can’t wait to play it for the first time late March. I’ll probably play a combo tee box of my own if the weather is rough on those long fours. I want fun not torture 😂

Old mac is definitely more fun the more you play it. The first couple times you're just mad that you put yourself on the wrong side of the green.
