Ive been trying this method for about 1 an half already. No luck! I start just like you do! I go to remove the slack from tje left side of the belt an i just dont have enough slack to slip on the pulley even if i back off the belt from the water pump sprocket. You make it seem so simple!!
Turn the crankshaft a little just a tad to get that belt over the Tensioner pulley & when thats done turn the crankshaft back to line up to the marks and the cams marks should follow all together. Do you have the manual Tensioner setup or the automatic hydraulic ones?
@@jfGarage4k manual tensioner! I was able to get the tiking belt installed. Checked timing multiple times! An it looked good. But he car still hesitates when accelerating hard. Changed fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel injectors(cylinder 4 injector was shooting fuel out of the plastic body!) Turns on idles grate. Just accelerstes like shit! 95 prelude Si vtec. Been think maybe ecu is bad
I've been dealing with getting the slack out of my belt and ordered a new one. I'll install today. Just to clarify you have the crank TDC and turn the crank to allow room over the tensioner? Are you turning left or right? If I recall correctly when I did it in the past I would line the crank off a tooth to the right of the TDC mark then put belt on tensioner and turn crank to the left to take out slack. Your way looks like an easier method though.
@JasmineFatherGarage4k does it come with that block mounted small bracket securing the slotted portion of the pully as well? or I guess I should ask where could I possibly find that or these components?

Need to fix that fuel leak from cylinder 4 first before moving on, thats probably your hesitation problem good luck
That beat is 🔥 🎧

Make sure your Tensioner is all bottom out (no slack on that Tensioner)
Is the Dayco water pump as reliable as the Gates?
They both teliable i used them before with no problem
@@jfGarage4k thank you
Why did my gates timing belt shred? and pop off? does this have anything to do with my wheel popped off? Help me 911 someone!
Your timing belt walk all the time? Does it move away from the sprocket?
bro What is the name of the bolt that tightens the tensioner of the engine you have, I need the same bolt
I noticed you didn’t put the spring back on. Is there a reason for that?
With this balance shaft delete i dont need that spring
What tensioner is being used?
Its a converted to a Manual Tensioner

Came out on a H23 prelude timing components. Here the link for farther research images.app.goo.gl/knN3n6rTXwvwj8mR8
