Arguably the greatest pure rock sound you will ever hear. They are worth listening to all the way down the rabbit hole. Each song has it's own sound. Just a few notes and you will instantly recognize each one. Enjoy!
Zep's live performances are second to none, The live at MSG I never get tired of watching & is a total master class of how it's done, 'Dazed & confused' from that concert still gives me chills decades later.
Jimmy Page is my favorite and Jimi Hendrex is a close second for me. I would highly recommend Achilles Last Stand from Zeppelins album Presence. Page & Bonham doing like nobody else can!
Led Zeppelin. Best of the best. Iconic. All of these.. invented rock and roll. No one compares to LED Zeppelin.. father's of rock. It's hard to say favorite song. I'll get back to you.
I don't know about who's the best, it's a very subjective thing, but my top 5 in no particular order would be Page, Dave Gilmour, Jimi Hendrix, Dimebag Darrell and Slash.
The great Led Zeppelin! For me he’s top 5 all time. He’s influenced so many guitarists including Eddie Van Halen and we know how that turned out! Great reaction from here in Chicago!
This is a great "bread & butter" Zeppelin song. One of the first I ever remember hearing from the band back in the day. And, naturally, I went and purchased Led Zeppelin 4, the album it is on (and played it to death!).
Led Zeppelin: One of the best rock bands all of time . Page into the five best guitarist all of time, Plant the same, Bonhan the same, and J.Paul Jones one of the best to. Like that. In every musical list of the world. To me, Page, David Gilmore, Clapton and Jef Beck. Singers, Plant, Mercury ( of course),and the singer of Bad Company, I don't remember now. Batterist; BONHAN , Ian Pace (Deep Purple) Stewar Copeland (Police) and the Dire Straits drummer...
*Love your channel guys* I'm a former touring musician and I'll give you *MY* top 5. But it's such a subjective thing. Technical ability, production, how it "feels" etc. Music is like "Do you prefer chocolate or strawberry ice cream" ? Both are fantastic but it's a taste thing. Also Led Zeppelin is MY G.O.A.T. band so it makes it even harder. So ( for me ), thru personal experience & preference with a heavy emphasis on technical ability, here's my top 5 in no particular order 1) Jimmy Page 2) Stevie Ray Vaughan 3) Jimi Hendrix 4) Al Di Meola 5) Eddie Van Halen And I could have given you a hundred more, but I can ONLY speak for myself.! Keep up the grind.! Peace.....
Top 5. SRV..... Hendrix.. Eddie Van Halen... Jimmy Paige... Clapton... but there are 20 more right there... 50 more so close to that.. SRV live at El Mcambo .. the soul and being one with the guitar is right up there with anything..
1. Jimmy Page 2. Rory Gallagher 3. Jimi Hendrix 4. Stevie Ray Vaughan 5. Carlos Santana Those are my top 5 but completely subjective. Led Zeppelin will always be my number one though.
My top 5 are number 1 is Stevie Ray Vaughan , number 2 is Jimi Hendrix, number 3 is Eddie Van Halen, number 4 is Randy Rhoads and my number 5 is a tie between Jimmy Page and Toni Iommi.
My two cents on the top five guitarists of all time, in no particular order: Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix Stevie Ray Vaughn Eric Clapton It is very difficult to pick one favorite Led Zeppelin song, but if you put a gun to my head, I suppose I would say Kashmir. I love all of their songs, but Kashmir is epic. The best performance of this song was at the O2 Arena in London in 2007. Though this performance was without John Bonham, his son, Jason knocked it out of the park. The whole performance was just phenomenal.
Jimmy Page and Jimmy Hendrix are the two greatest rock guitarist of all time. Frank Marino and Alex Lifeson are my second two favorites. Want to recommend Jimi Hendrix's Woodstock performance of Voodoo Child for review. Also Frank Marino and Mahagony Rush doing Johnny B Goode from the Midnight Special TV show.
My top 5 guitarists are; 5) Ry Cooder 4) Peter Green 3) Tony Iommi 2) Jimmi Hendrix 1) Jimmy Page Honourable mentions for Eddy Van Halen, BB King and Eric Clapton
Jimmi Page is in the top 5. Jeff Beck, Eddie Van Halen, Eric Clapton, Robin Trower, JImmi Hendrix, Vivian Campbell, Martin Barre, Neil Schon, and from "tool" Adam Jones... and many More..
Jimmy IMO is the GOAT and here's why he's been recording since the early 60s and He was in successful bands prior to Zeppelin and then brought it to a new level. He's 80 and still recording. Stevie Ray Vaughn is a close second. But passed away too soon David Gilmore who's career was extensive too. Alex from Rush who's career was extensive Jimi Hendrix Prince Eddie Van Halen Angus young Eric Clapton Just to name a few. But they all have their own style. I suggest Stevie Ray Vaughn Texas Flood live from the El Mocombo in Toronto it will literally blow your mind. Great reaction as usual my friends and Peace out. Remember the list is just my opinion so don't come at me 😂
This was one of the first rock albums I ever owned (as a young teen in the 80s). And I played the living hell out of it! I agree about Robert Plant...he oozed cool vibes...even into his older years. As to the top five guitarists? My personal picks would vary a bit from some others', but not by too much. And I don't know that I can rank them numerically, because they each have their own amazing skills and, as someone else noted, it is often technical skills over creativity and general musicianship. Each of these has both in ample supply: Eddie Van Halen, Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix, Carlos Santana, and Duane Allman.
Great reaction! Many great guitarists out there. Brian May of Queen, Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath, Eddie Van Halen, Tony MacAlpine, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai...
My top 5 are Stevie Ray Vaughan, Brian May/Queen, Jimi Hendrix, Eddie Van Halen, Slash/GNR. They are all different in their own ways. Maybe you could react to Stevie Ray Vaughan, Texas Flood live at the El Mocambo if you haven't already. New subscriber, so I don't know if you have. Thank you. Great reaction!
Just a few more brilliant guitarists that I didn't see on anyones list, although I didn't scroll through all of the comments- David Gilmour- Mark Knopfler- Frank Zappa and Jimmy Herring
There is probably no one that had the "born with it" of Hendrix (Eddie gets honorable mention here), Clapton is insanely good, Beck the most technically sound rock guitarist, Richie Blackmore, Toni Iommi & Pete Towsend are all in the Godfathers or guitar heroes club, but all around when you talk about the innovations, copied style and influence, legendary and mystical aura plus the producing and sound mixing? Oh yeah, and the riffs! The most soulful delivery ever on an electric guitar, there will never be the total package that was Jimmy Page ever again
Jimmy Page is the best guitarist of all time. There's a lyrical quality and emotional connection he has. It's not mindless squeally notes. The 'feel' he has. I'm not sure you can teach that.
First Zep tune I ever heard... lucky me!!! bought the single right away! Page is one of the best. Live there's several that kick his ass (Jeff Beck, Rory Gallagher, Jimi Hendrix), but Pagey is a bad mofo.
I'm an old hand, own the two official live albums and some bootlegs, don't know the videos. I am assuming this is not an official video (out of sync; MTV started 1981). Most of the time the band was in a good mood and brilliant live; you'll find some fantastic official live Black Dogs videos, including Madison Square Garden 1973.👍✌
Personally I say Jimmy Page and David Gilmour of Pink Floyd are co-number one, such different approaches yet masters at what they do..lots of awesome guys after that, sadly many cut short due to drugs but I'd put Eddie Van Halen and Angus Young in the Top 5..perhaps Jack Russell of Great White...fav LZ song varies on mood really, but I come back to "10 Years Gone" a lot
If you google all time greatest band and guitarist LZ as a band usually come second as far as best band ever behind the Beatles but the Beatles were not really a rock band LZ were mainly a blues rock band...Jimmy Page if you google him usually comes second only to Jimi Hendrix but to me personally he is #1...and I actually know him and he is the coolest bloke u will ever meet, and he created the band and chose all the members and produced every single LZ album...and he writes about 99% of all the music and Plant writes all the lyrics....Page is Led Zeppelin mates!
I just started listening to Greta Van Fleet a couple of weeks ago - and am a big fan. Definitely see the Led Zeppelin influence (which is a very good thing). ✝️🤘
You can cover big range of guitarists in world of rock. In no particular order....Slash , Jimmy Page , Steve Vai , Brian Page , Eddie Van Halen , Eric Clapton , Brian Gilmore.....I could go on. Stevie Ray Vaughn is probably the best blues/rock guitarists ever . Some of the best won't even argue with that. You should do a reaction to him maybe. He's better than most playing behind his back.
Rock guitarist... No particular order.... Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix, Ritchie Blackmore , Buck Dharma, Jeff Beck, Rick Derringer, Angus Young, Keith Richards Eric Clapton, Johnny Winter many others
Jeff Beck had amazing tone. I like Page because of his melodic invention. He didn't just play a bunch of notes fast -- he had obviously worked out what he was going to play well in advance, and he knew how long to play a certain phrase before heading into new territory, always keeping things fresh and interesting. Hendrix was innovative, but he gave me a headache!
If you are guitar junkies, you should go down the Stevie Ray Vaughan rabbit hole! Start with his version of Texas Flood live at El Mocambo! you are not ready!
Some think Jimmy was “sloppy” live. He went for feel through improvisation onstage, took big risks that sometimes didn’t work and sometimes were transcendent. He was famous as a riff machine, but also for the mystique that surrounded him…his swag and charisma onstage were off the charts…and also he’s famous as a top record producer. Objectively speaking, there are literally dozens of top lead guitar players over the past 50 or more years. How could there not be, with all those great bands and music from those decades when the guitar was front and center? For me, subjectively speaking….I go for emotive playing and I love blues rock. So for those reasons, my top players are….in no particular order; Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, David Gilmore, Joe Bonamassa and Stevie Ray Vaughan. I’m could easily name another two dozen that I’m in awe of (just recently discovered Nuno Bettancourt…holy hell what a player) but those five just hit me in the feels, as they say.
This is the music of your grandparents, the boomer generation which I belong to. Bet you didn't know your grandparents with that cool did you? We had the best damn music!😂
Perfect reaction to the greatest rock groom of all time period and Jimmy Page was the greatest rock songwriter of all time and the greatest rock a Taurus of all time period until next time stay well and popping for fresh
God, this tune is 50 years old. Still has it.
Arguably the greatest pure rock sound you will ever hear. They are worth listening to all the way down the rabbit hole. Each song has it's own sound. Just a few notes and you will instantly recognize each one. Enjoy!
Arguably the greatest guitarist & drummer & front man of all time !! And JP Jones was so multi talented !!!
Jones just glued them together, irreplaceable man
Still sounds better than 99 percent of production today
Zep's live performances are second to none, The live at MSG I never get tired of watching & is a total master class of how it's done, 'Dazed & confused' from that concert still gives me chills decades later.
why is Plant so cool? Rock God. Killer voice, killer body, the hair is just incredible. So much but the voice is just unmatched imo.
For sure! He IS the consummate
"Rock God" . ❤

Jimmy Page is my favorite and Jimi Hendrex is a close second for me. I would highly recommend Achilles Last Stand from Zeppelins album Presence. Page & Bonham doing like nobody else can!
One of my favorite bands! Anything by them is fire!
Le# Zeppelin are GOATS. Please listen and share the 1st album. You'll want more and they won't let you down! ❤
Led Zeppelin. Best of the best. Iconic. All of these.. invented rock and roll. No one compares to LED Zeppelin.. father's of rock. It's hard to say favorite song. I'll get back to you.
Really pleases me to watch younger generation cats get into the music I grew up listening to.
my top 5 is Hendrix, Clapton, Gilmore, Gary Moore, Bill Nelson
I don't know about who's the best, it's a very subjective thing, but my top 5 in no particular order would be Page, Dave Gilmour, Jimi Hendrix, Dimebag Darrell and Slash.
The great Led Zeppelin! For me he’s top 5 all time. He’s influenced so many guitarists including Eddie Van Halen and we know how that turned out! Great reaction from here in Chicago!

All 4 were masters of their craft! When Page started the band he wanted the best! Supergroup before there was such a thing! Page is a musical genius
The riff was from the bass player, John Paul Jones. Jimmy Page was a huge Peter Green fan, listen to the song Oh Well by Fleetwood Mac
1. Jimmy Page
2. Rory Gallagher

I'll have to think of the last two.
Jeff Beck had amazing tone. I like Page because of his melodic invention. He didn't just play a bunch of notes fast -- he had obviously worked out what he was going to play well in advance, and he knew how long to play a certain phrase before heading into new territory, always keeping things fresh and interesting.
