How does the coating hold up? Are there any marks on it, or some wear? I'm going to plasti-dip my '01 sv in matte-black :)

Hey. I’m looking to do this to my windscreen on my motorcycle. It’s a Ducati V2 and it’s sort of a flat pearl white. I did a plastidip on a stock clear windscreen with black on the inside which made the outer shiny being it wasn’t touched and for a $7.00 can of plastidip, it looked better that $100.00 plus aftermarket screens.
This project will be different wanting to match the flat pearl of the bike. I don’t want to spray the outside but may have to. Suggestions? I was thinking of just getting the paint code from Ducati and spraying the inside but I’m worried it’ll flake off. Maybe shoot it with the original paint and then shoot the inside over it with the white Plastidip. What do you suggest?

What about the decals. Can you peel the plastidip off of them only.

Thinking of doing this to my SV but maybe in a different color.. How many coats of pearlizer did you do?

Nice! I used 2 coats of peralizer and was really happy with the results, but it started to fade around the gas tank where my thigh would rest. You are going to want to make a tank pad for that specific area. Good luck!

Your coats need to be heavier if you want a smooth finish
