I was about to defend him saying that his mother died before he was born. It’s happened before where they have to save the child after mother passes with baby still inside her but then he lost my support when he said she was there lmao .
The only logic I can fathom is that his mother died during childbirth and he was adopted afterwards, and he didn't have the English skills to explain the difference between biological parents and adopted ones
