Telling people to just let griefers steal your wagon is terrible advice. Griefers get dynamite arrows, incendiarys, explosives and generally just bullied until they parlay or leave the lobby. People think the trader role is about selling goods for money. No the trader role centered around punishing griefers until they cry.
OK so it a 7 man posse your on your own doing your wagon, your a low level. This video is aimed at that scenario. Personally I'd never let anyone take my goods. But if it did happen there is no need to quit the session. Also if your wagon is stolen its not griefing I steal wagons all the time.
Actually most of the time griefers will crash your wagon and just leave you with bags, so just change the session and go to camp. If you camp in Thieves Landing you will get the blip also, so usually griefers split, one stays in Valentine and another in Thieves Landing.
I play solo on (pc), what i do for my trader runs is just to get into a solo lobby, how to do this you may ask? go to your camp and rest next to your camp fire, next open your log/player log options, then go to your online options, turn off social matching, then at last go to change appearance (this cost 10gold or $400), don't worry you won't spend it, all you want its to enter the character creation screen, stay there for 2 minutes then you can cancel and go back to the game, go to your camp ASAP and check the lobby to make sure it worked, there should be nobody else in the lobby but you, now you can do your trader run in solo lobby, (FYI if you don't start the mission or leave your camp players will join the lobby), if you do everything correctly once you start the trader mission nobody will be able to enter that lobby till you are done with the delivery of the trader wagon.
I always online out and jump sessions because I have had mine stolen did not get it back, they sold it and when I got back to my camp I had nothing. I had to start trader all over.

Wow, if only i knew this sooner, on GTA I had to dashboard on Xbox, so I assumed the same thing on RDO, a posse came towards my wagon worth 600+ in goods, with severe cargo ptsd from gta I instinctively dashboarded before they could even shoot me, loaded back in and all my goods were gone, took my whole gaming session which was 4 hours just to stock all them goods up while doing bounties too, big waste of my time. Well now I know I don’t have to dashboard, thanks man !💯
Isn't the best option then trying to retake the wagon, and if you are not successful in doing so returning to your camp and retrying the delivery? This way everyone has fun and no one loses anything.
I left game than load again and I was able to sell goods again, ie I did not lose anything. But in future I will not take fara distance delivery if I am alone... long distance delivery need high protection of multiple players.

Probably using the off radar glitch. Players like that are not worth the time just switch sessions if that's happening to you and make sure your account is set to private
Yeah that's one way but if ya stay in session after someone has taken your wagon no one can take it when you sell again. What's to say you shut your network join a new session and some one steals it again! Just waisted more time. I'm not saying this is the way to do things it's just an option 😉

Until they find out it is pointless for them so they actively hunt for you and shoot you as much as possible while ur trying to accomplish a timed mission…. Just cause they cant steal ur stuff for a second time doesn’t mean they wont grief you as much as they can get away with😒 its altogether frustrating…
I'm not to sure on that I suppose if they steal the goods as bags then its still a steal so the goods will still be in your camp after I'll have to double check that...... great question 👍👍

If you wagon is stolen in the session you are in do not leave the session let the posse who stole it deliver the wagon then head back to your camp with out changing sessions and your good will be available to deliver once again
Thats not accurate at all. If you let them steal it you lose your goods. You dont get to keep them. I always "closed the app" then restart and you will still have your goods. Now having just a brief encounter with people stealing your wagon and you close app to restart the player wont be in your recents. The absolute best way is to appear offline, hide RDR2 in your settings then nobody can respawn on you even if they look up you gametag. As for running wagons if youre by yourself. Reate a solo lobby and hunt and run long distance wagons all day. No griefers at all. The best thing about this method is that legendary animals spawn a lot more. So you can get yourself some legendary pelts. Sell them or have Gus make an outfit for you
If you stay in the session and wait for the stolen good to be delivered once that happens head back to your camp and your goods will be 💯 full at Cripps
I am never griefed by 1 person it is always 3 or more.Problem is most people do not consider having their shit stolen fun.Probably why 75% of the player base or RDR2 only play story mode.Never had a wagon stolen,But I had my hunting wagon coming to me and I was carrying a carcass and got sniped.They stole my carcasses stored in the wagon,and that stuff you do not get back.Should give the player the option of pressing charges,but only gave me Parley or respawn.Now that pissed me off.If somebody kills you and initiated it there should a bounty on them for murder every time.That would be fun.

That just happened to me. No name griefer shot me dead, then blew my wagon. I ragequit and when I returned, I had all 28 goods back in stock. Pfew.

Don't jump sessions if it gets stolen your goods will still be at camp.

It's actually only a 10 minute cool-down period for the first attacker(s), and other players can still attack you.

This is an awful mechanic. These shouldn't be forced pvp.
