Actually the best spot for short and safe deliveries is Big Valley. If your camp is actually in the valley, ie along the river towards Hanging Dog Ranch, you will ALWAYS go to Wallace Station, even if you are directly next to it. There are hardly any players in that area ever and the only obstacles are trees in the last stretch of the journey.

Hackers have been running rampant in this game recently since Rockstar stopped caring for it the way they used to. Most people that attack your wagon will either be hackers, or noobs who are unaware of how things work in the game. If you suspect you are up against a hacker, block and report them, then server hop to save your goods. Common signs of hacking are when the griefer never seems to miss and always one shots you, even through your tank build. A lot of them have permanent defensive mode on, meaning they can shoot you first and you cannot lock onto them to fight back. They will often also have higher health and take forever to take down despite them not even using a tank build. Do your part and block and report all hackers. At the very least, having to create a new account multiple times will pose a nuisance to them.
Fantastic Cat! Very good topic. I had stopped doing long-distance deliveries after getting attacked twice just before finishing, resulting in a huge waste of time. Too bad the game advertises long deliveries as fair game. Just adds to the "ok to grief" crowd. It's really frustrating trying to do a long-distance delivery as a daily challenge, only to have it screwed in the last few minutes. But that's why they called it "The wild west". Be well, Cat, and thanks again from Delaware USA.
PC players can make solo lobby much easier, they need to freeze rdr2 process on 10-15 seconds using a task manager, then unfreeze, and if you did everything right, you'll gonna see a message, that there was an network error, and your lobby will be also free from players for about 10-15 minutes
Yeah that's what I do and it works like a charm. Resource Monitor is the program with the pause/suspend feature. I've had it saved to my taskbar for GTA and RDO for years now.
I'm new in rdr online and completely fall in love lol. Well, people are mostly weird and I play solo online😅 but anyway. Thank you so much for guides and other interesting and helpfull videos. Best regards from Czech republic.😉
No matter how many precautions you take, a loser sitting miles away with an improved bow with dynamite arrows can instantly destroy everything you worked for. No reloading, because it's all gone.
Thanks for the advice man, i've been watching your videos since i started playing back in late 2019. iv'e always found your videos very helpful, and still do! :)
Well for myself I have my camp set in the best place on the map!!! Far far far west “Gap Tooth”!!!! I have had my camp set there for years now!! First of all the resupply missions are really quick and easy. No hunting resupply missions also! For some apparent reason also being so far from others and the game puts you in a solo lobby on its own engine. But Cat TIPs are definitely on point also. Good luck
I've started losing goods as well after being attacked, even when exiting the game or loading into a new lobby. It's not foolproof and my butcher table would say 100 then immediately drop to zero.
@Aron Sors I just got a successful save by using the game menu to reload into free roam and it worked for moonshine that glitched, but my friends and I have lost that too, due to the wagon failing to appear.
8:10 With a hunting vehicle , you can go hunt somewhere , full your hunting venhicle , send back your hunting vehicle to the stables , and call him back at your gaptooth breach camp , he will be full of hunted animals as you left it.
Go to Internet, Set Up Connection, and go to Advanced Settings by pressing menu on the network on PS5. Go down to MTU and change it to 800 instead of 1500. For PS4, it's the same but you need to do it manually though set-up. It's only one setting, though. Go into Online. Check the player list. Do your deliveries. None of the "loving and friendly" community will be around to find, stalk, and kill you, because now you're sending too little packets to even connect to a session. You don't need a friend, you don't need any bullshit third-party software. Just change your connection's MTU setting to 800. That's it. Permanently solo lobby.
You have some other short delivery missions for trader role between strawberry and wallace station ,the camp site just upper wallace station , it's shorter than the gaptooth breach camp site , see you have to deliver AT WALLACE STATION , 10 meters max to do XDDD Same for supply missions , 1/3 time you will have a supply bag at the Wallace Station , so 10 meters to take it , 10 meters to bring it into your camp , fast , easy. and i personaly LOVE theses camp sites around this location , especially the camp in the middle of the lavande fields near little creek river upper strawberry , when the sun go down or rise , it's SO BEAUTIFUL !!! ^^
so for anyone one playing on pc, use the RDO lobby manager mod if you just want to grind in peace. it creates a small text file with a password so it blocks anyone else from joining your lobby. nobody has been banned for using it as far as i know, the game does not even detect the file or give a warning.
I am glad you mentioned that attacking wagons is not realy griefing and I agree 100% with that, but I don't like the complaint from the community on that. That's exactly what is wrong with the game. We would need more of that type of gameplay and not less. I have seen 7 man posses glitch themselfs into private lobbies and riding along the wagon to protect it. From WHAT? This game is a wild west game not a hunting simulator. Griefing should not be used in an activity thats desinged to do by R*.
I usually spawn my camp in south of gaptouth ridge and start long delivery. It's mostly send me to thief landing or the ranch by roads that never any players use . Because there is nothing to do there not even collectibles are present to loot. Works too 😉
@@tigrispanthera5496 it still works. You just gotta do it quick enough before the game register's that your good are gone 👊🏿 coz sometimes if you exit a little late by then the game would have now registered the attempted delivery and won't give you your goods back

i know I'm probably the minority here but I LOVE when I get attacked while doing the delivery! PvP in free roam is so much fun and excitement for me. Even if I lose the delivery I can always just restart the game anyway so there's no loss anyway :D I hate when modders attack tho cause I have no chance to attack back. I'm also guilty of attacking other trades sometimes. However, when I see they're not into fighting then I just change the session or ride elsewhere. I don't really see this as griefing since it's basically what the game is about. If you don't want the risk of getting attacked just do the local delivery.
One of the minority here! Getting attacked is fun as hell, I would rather lose the delivery than go for a long boring one without any fight😂 Me and my gf usually look for sessions with familiar names or high levels, who could attack us haha I do attack wagons too, but usually the posse has to have at least 5 people or high levels in it🤔 Makes fight more interesting, when they are not beginners in the game.
@@WackRusDud If the situation feels too bad, then the solution is just to parley and leave session. If they are in your recents and jump you, block and jump sessions again. It's simple as that. I personally would just stay and fight, even if they're in big numbers lol. It's fun in a way, I can't explain why tho haha
@@KingSkollz i did stay and fight. Problematic to kill when: - you usually get a torso 50% of the time or miss the other 50% - they all aim at you at once from afar in the middle of the desert on a high ground - every single one of them is constantly jacked with tonics (so am I, but even a tank build with defensive on, level 3 health tonic and gold core gets shredded with a constant fire of 3 sniper rifles) Add to this one of them being a wise ass with a soundboard pre-recorded meme insults
Can people seriously stop complaining about their delivery being "attacked"? The game tells you that you could be attacked if you do distance delivery and it's not griefing if it does get attacked because the game incentivizes you to attack the delivery. Just do local delivery. the distance payout isn't enough to justify doing it.
Thanks for letting me know how to get my goods back if the wagon is destroyed! I did a delivery the other day but there were npc’s killing each other and one maybe blew up my wagon idk but it said it was destroyed.
I make all of my deliveries out of Gaptooth Ridge. I've had very few people attack me out of there. Also if your wagon is stolen by someone, destroy it using dynamite arrows or explosive ammo then change lobbies. Don't give another player the satisfaction of an easy payday 👿
@@PVPCat Yup! Especially when it's "deliver to the shack" That takes you through no man's land, below the cliff that takes you to McFalenes Ranch. Takes about 8 minutes.
@@Flintous I'm pretty sure once you destroy the wagon and they hop out, then leave, it ends the event. They only get the goods if they're still on the wagon when you leave or holding one of the bags.
Not a tip but I noticed that playing in a console makes it much less frequent to get grief when you're delivering. I've play in pc a lot too and most of my attacks are pc only heck whenever I see a player when I delivering my cargo is game on people will come straight to u with explosive arrows 100% of the times. But in console I get to pass by random player and they will just wave at you leave you alone peaceful.
I had a player following a long distance delivery, so I stopped and aimed on him. When he saw my deadeye he turned around. Maybe he wanted to escort but I doubt anyone does that anymore.
Griefers are also going as far as hogtieing players after destroying their wagon, in an attempt to take them as far from their goal and lost cargo as possible. So to any new players and those doing solo runs, just switch to a new lobby and don't give in to the conflict they're looking for.
I had half a lobby hunting with me yesterday.. 2hours after that I was hanging out with 6 new players seems like a lot of people are trying this game now
This is super simple people, get into a solo lobby. Lower mtu on PlayStation or do the poker table glitch. That's it. I have over 1 million dollars from trader and moonshine sales.
the best thing for PC players is the private lobby manager mod, it keeps your online lobby empty permanently. perfect for keeping modding griefers away~

Hey just a heads up. Lately when I re-enter game from "change appearance" I spawn at McFarlands ranch NOT near my camp. It seems this doesn't work anymore. I tried it like 10 times. I think they patched it
Getting hit with explosive ammo from 700 meters away is always fun 😂 seriously I should start inviting randoms to my posse before a sale, I don’t think I have ever invited a random.
The Rangers - Looking to build an honorable hunting/trader posse. Daily play... Always camped outside of Strawberry, hunting in the grizzlies. Working on stew pot upgrade now...
I just came back to online and have been on the search for good videos with the best info to catch me up and so far you have provided the best videos by far compared to other Red Dead content creators thanks for all the help you're doing a great job I purchased the Bounty Hunter as my first role I'm ready to purchase a second role any advice on what my second role should be? I would prefer something as passive as possible I don't get much time to play I work 60 hours a week I was thinking Trader or collector but was wondering if there's any way to purchase your supply for the Moonshine or do you have to do Source missions?
I don't do Trader for the money I do it for the hunting. If I want money and XP I collect Swords and Pentacles trading cards. The extra $125 isn't worth it to me to help out a griefer. I go to Gaptooth Ridge, respawn until I get best spot then do a short delivery. If there's even a gang of NPCs there it's still super fast.
I don't think the solo lobby method he showed works anymore because I tried it verbatim press play on the video and then I started copying him in the game exact time and everything didn't work for me so it must be patched
I never really come across players who attack me while I'm doing a sell idk if it has something to do with camp location (I always place camp in gaptooth ridge for sells) but getting attacked is rare for me
Nice. I think it just tends to depend on how populated the lobbies are. If your lobby has a bunch of solo players the odds are super low to get attacked. Anytime I used to get attacked it was always a posse. Good thing is if you aren't in the mood to PVP you can just quickly exit and your trader will automatically reset as if you never attempted the delivery. But camp location does help for sure coz Valentine tends to be the warzone while areas away from it are less populated.
I really wish they would fix it to where you couldn't just dashboard to save your wagon. Nobody fights for their wagon anymore. If you don't want to fight for it run a local. It's part of the game and you chose to be a target. Now when you dashboard, I'm just going to take your goods and wait a little and spawn on you and take your rerun too. Best to just run local.
I just go to WiFi settings and set MTU to 800 and get a private lobby that way I don't have to worry about anybody screwing with me. And this method almost guarantees everytime u take the wagon to sale u will run into a legendary animal. And u can get off the wagon and don't have to worry about random players screwing with the wagon while killing the animal. This way when u sale the wagon u will have a legendary animal to take to cripps and that's a good start on the next sale.
Question: Can dynamite destroy your wagon after you parley? I was doing a resupply mission and there was a posse in the mission zone. It was one of the kill gang and get wagon of gear as a reward. Anyway they decided to kill me and I wasn't in a mood to pvp so parleyed to finish mission. This led them to chuck a few sticks my way while as I was trying to escape in the wagon. I managed to evade and they got bored and left. But it got me wondering what would have happened had one hit.
I just & still use the 850 MTU internet setting to get solo sessions, the caveat is that not even friends are able to join but most of mine's have mostly left the game anyway.

Not always. Sometimes you are told to drive to San Denni or Armadillo.
@@WackRusDud wrong. stop making up shit.
@@Matt..S okay, then I suppouse the entire experience of "Driving the goods to Armadillo station" that ended up in me getting robbed near it by a gank squad that wouldn't stop there was just a fucking fever dream and *that didn't just fucking happen yesterday* because some guy is telling me so.
@@WackRusDud yes
you ain't playing Red Dead Online. Stop making shit up.
LOL that short delivery is hilarious
I can't seem to get my camp in that location
If you do a blood money mission, when completed, you’ll have the lobby to yourself… or you can change your MTU settings.
What I do is just start the delivery in New Austin. It makes the delivery easier and shorter
I do delivery specifically so I can get into a scrap with greifers! Open world pvp is my favorite part of the game and I don't care if I loose the delivery, after 1000's of hrs I'm just here for the running and gunning!
I always invite low level players
I don't mind the pvp but with an increase in bullshittin cheaters it's just meh

I made 2 distant deliveries yesterday and I was sweating the whole way 😂 I daily tho!
Deliver 1 to 5 goods after you do a local with 100 if you are solo. Then you can fight back with zero worry and they get nothing if you lose.
Good luck
I did your first tip the other day and lost all of my goods. Which was a first for me I have done it plenty of times and never lost my stuff.
I've started losing goods as well after being attacked, even when exiting the game or loading into a new lobby. It's not foolproof and my butcher table would say 100 then immediately drop to zero.
@@roughroadstudio same with me. Max items first then drops to zero.
@Aron Sors I just got a successful save by using the game menu to reload into free roam and it worked for moonshine that glitched, but my friends and I have lost that too, due to the wagon failing to appear.
8:10 With a hunting vehicle , you can go hunt somewhere , full your hunting venhicle , send back your hunting vehicle to the stables , and call him back at your gaptooth breach camp , he will be full of hunted animals as you left it.
thank youuu very mutch for that tips i find before one tip alone ( the change lobby ) but i learn more today 😁
I can proudly say i have not griefed anybody even when i had the chance to do so
You have some other short delivery missions for trader role between strawberry and wallace station ,the camp site just upper wallace station , it's shorter than the gaptooth breach camp site , see you have to deliver AT WALLACE STATION , 10 meters max to do XDDD
Same for supply missions , 1/3 time you will have a supply bag at the Wallace Station , so 10 meters to take it , 10 meters to bring it into your camp , fast , easy.
and i personaly LOVE theses camp sites around this location , especially the camp in the middle of the lavande fields near little creek river upper strawberry , when the sun go down or rise , it's SO BEAUTIFUL !!! ^^
so for anyone one playing on pc, use the RDO lobby manager mod if you just want to grind in peace. it creates a small text file with a password so it blocks anyone else from joining your lobby. nobody has been banned for using it as far as i know, the game does not even detect the file or give a warning.
Thank you for the video)
I am glad you mentioned that attacking wagons is not realy griefing and I agree 100% with that, but I don't like the complaint from the community on that. That's exactly what is wrong with the game. We would need more of that type of gameplay and not less. I have seen 7 man posses glitch themselfs into private lobbies and riding along the wagon to protect it. From WHAT?
This game is a wild west game not a hunting simulator. Griefing should not be used in an activity thats desinged to do by R*.
Happy Christmas too you PVPCat, hope you and your family have a very peaceful one.
It's January
@@itz_chicken777 yes I know but where he is from it’s their Christmas celebration time, not December, infact today is their Christmas eve
I usually spawn my camp in south of gaptouth ridge and start long delivery. It's mostly send me to thief landing or the ranch by roads that never any players use . Because there is nothing to do there not even collectibles are present to loot. Works too 😉
Thank you cat I’m a long time player and I didn’t know you could change lobby and keep your goods if they were destroyed
i thought that was patched? i tried it and it didn’t work
@@tigrispanthera5496 it still works. You just gotta do it quick enough before the game register's that your good are gone 👊🏿 coz sometimes if you exit a little late by then the game would have now registered the attempted delivery and won't give you your goods back
When I'm playing Rdr, from Time to Time, I like to help out the Newbies/Low Rankers, I'm Rank 300 atm, and I still get High Rankers helping me out too, it's what makes the Game Fun, ans Building up some $$$.... Still a Fantastic Game 🎮
Useful, as always.
i know I'm probably the minority here but I LOVE when I get attacked while doing the delivery!
It’s a prime month for what you like and do……plenty of new blood to go after…..happy hunting
One of the minority here! Getting attacked is fun as hell, I would rather lose the delivery than go for a long boring one without any fight😂 Me and my gf usually look for sessions with familiar names or high levels, who could attack us haha
I do attack wagons too, but usually the posse has to have at least 5 people or high levels in it🤔 Makes fight more interesting, when they are not beginners in the game.
Unless these fellas are in numbers, more skilled than you and after they robbed you, they decided to keep fooling around and talk shit.
Problematic to kill when:
- you usually get a torso 50% of the time or miss the other 50%
- they all aim at you at once from afar in the middle of the desert on a high ground
- every single one of them is constantly jacked with tonics (so am I, but even a tank build with defensive on, level 3 health tonic and gold core gets shredded with a constant fire of 3 sniper rifles)
Add to this one of them being a wise ass with a soundboard pre-recorded meme insults
You won a new sub.👍🏻
Make sure your sellable goods are full before you buy a bigger wagon. It will automatically give you the higher money level on that delivery.
There is no advantage except time it takes when delivering less long distance. Payout is per good.
The goods trick didn’t work for me pvpcat is there any alternative? I already lost the goods, but, for next time any tips?
Can people seriously stop complaining about their delivery being "attacked"? The game tells you that you could be attacked if you do distance delivery and it's not griefing if it does get attacked because the game incentivizes you to attack the delivery. Just do local delivery. the distance payout isn't enough to justify doing it.
If you log off in middle of trade run , your trade will NOT be there and will vanish. I’ve never tried the method of going to a new camp tho.
It worked for me yesterday but not the day before so lost 100 goods.
I actually lose my goods when i switch lobbies after i crash my wagon. But waiting until the time goes to 0 actually doesnt delete my goods
You must not change lobbies. After crash, turn of game and turn on immidiatly after
@@lesudanais5547 i did that also and it still delete my goods
If u are in PS4/PS5, set the MTU option in a value around 800-900, when you enter the game you'll be in a solo lobby.
You can even do 700 I find is even better sometimes 800 and 900 people might appear for a bit
Used the appearance change option tonight and it worked great.
Nice video cat 🔥✌️
Change PS4 MTU to 800 and enjoy permanent solo public lobbies
Thanks for letting me know how to get my goods back if the wagon is destroyed! I did a delivery the other day but there were npc’s killing each other and one maybe blew up my wagon idk but it said it was destroyed.
I make all of my deliveries out of Gaptooth Ridge. I've had very few people attack me out of there.
Also if your wagon is stolen by someone, destroy it using dynamite arrows or explosive ammo then change lobbies. Don't give another player the satisfaction of an easy payday 👿
Also there are fastest local deliveries :)
@@PVPCat Yup! Especially when it's "deliver to the shack" That takes you through no man's land, below the cliff that takes you to McFalenes Ranch. Takes about 8 minutes.
Exactly, but I think they still can get the dropped goods, so even better to keep fighting back and before time is over close the game
@@Flintous I'm pretty sure once you destroy the wagon and they hop out, then leave, it ends the event. They only get the goods if they're still on the wagon when you leave or holding one of the bags.
Thank you for the help. Subbing to learn more.
Thank you💛
How do you make that Knight/Crusader outfit it looks really cool and i would love to know how to get it
Griefers are also going as far as hogtieing players after destroying their wagon, in an attempt to take them as far from their goal and lost cargo as possible. So to any new players and those doing solo runs, just switch to a new lobby and don't give in to the conflict they're looking for.
I had half a lobby hunting with me yesterday.. 2hours after that I was hanging out with 6 new players seems like a lot of people are trying this game now
bien vu mon gars, tes conseil marchent du feu de dieu !
This is super simple people, get into a solo lobby. Lower mtu on PlayStation or do the poker table glitch. That's it. I have over 1 million dollars from trader and moonshine sales.
Hey PVP cat, at 2:11 the outfit you're wearing is awesome but I'm guessing it's limited time, could you confirm?
the best thing for PC players is the private lobby manager mod, it keeps your online lobby empty permanently. perfect for keeping modding griefers away~
Howdy Cat, thanks for sharing youre tips and tricks. 'Somebody' told me selling a wagon with 1 good in it, will give you the same amount of xp, as a full wagon. Never try'd it. Feels unfair to me, Big Smile. Did pick up a few tip from you Spray and pray clip. 🤣 Thanks Cat. 😎🤠💚
Hey kids just adjust you mtu in you internet setting to 800 you will be in a solo lobby and no one will take your stuff you will also find lots of legendary animals this way then go fix internet and go back to playing with others
I just came back to online and have been on the search for good videos with the best info to catch me up and so far you have provided the best videos by far compared to other Red Dead content creators thanks for all the help you're doing a great job
I purchased the Bounty Hunter as my first role I'm ready to purchase a second role any advice on what my second role should be? I would prefer something as passive as possible I don't get much time to play I work 60 hours a week I was thinking Trader or collector but was wondering if there's any way to purchase your supply for the Moonshine or do you have to do Source missions?
Moonshiner is the most passive role
I don't do Trader for the money I do it for the hunting. If I want money and XP I collect Swords and Pentacles trading cards. The extra $125 isn't worth it to me to help out a griefer.
I go to Gaptooth Ridge, respawn until I get best spot then do a short delivery. If there's even a gang of NPCs there it's still super fast.
I don't think the solo lobby method he showed works anymore because I tried it verbatim press play on the video and then I started copying him in the game exact time and everything didn't work for me so it must be patched
Honestly I just run to people delivering and ask em if they want an escort. A lot of the time I just get killed on site tho😂
Thank you Cat, yes accept those invites!
True rdr2 community is so nice some people killed my horse and they gave me a free sale which gave me 625$
Every Red Dead Online player knows that Valentine is the capital city for griefers
Start a mission that you will be alone and start the trader missions as soon as time runs out
I never really come across players who attack me while I'm doing a sell idk if it has something to do with camp location (I always place camp in gaptooth ridge for sells) but getting attacked is rare for me
But camp location does help for sure coz Valentine tends to be the warzone while areas away from it are less populated.
the cat jam music. i like it:))
Random beginners....yeah me who started RDR2 online last week and now level 27,sure to expect
This is so weird I think it’s a glitch but it is still snowing in red dead for me 💀
I found best way to do this is to jump to solo private server where you are the only player in the lobby
I know dynamite can kill you if you are standing next to a fast travel or post office..
so that's why Valentine is the PvP capital, you're in the middle of the map :O
thanks big bro
We were just discussing inviting noobs to do deliveries in Reddit, but they are not joining the posses
That's because most posses are griefers. I avoid posses at all cost...or kill them. Yep.
I just & still use the 850 MTU internet setting to get solo sessions, the caveat is that not even friends are able to join but most of mine's have mostly left the game anyway.
