Hiking Mount Talinis | Overnight Adventure in Negros, Philippines! 🇵🇭

- Mount Talinis is a bloody tough hike with more than 1500m of vertical gain throughout the 17km traverse. We started on the Valencia side and came down the Dauin side the next day after camping at Lake Nailig overnight. It's a slow-going trail due to the roots and rocks in addition to the steep nature of the climb. The views at the top of Lake Nailig and the eastern coast of Negros while sitting on the treetops make it all worth it!

Do u need a guide for most treks in the Philippines? Why is it? I prefer to go solo
Just how they do it. Cause many Filipinos with little hiking experience come from major cities to do these hikes as a challenge so it's for safety and then also it's to make sure those who live at that local barangay and maintain the trail etc get employed as guides so earn income. It's usually $20 a day wage to guide 1-5 people. Third reason, u r less likely to litter and mess with environment when a local guide is there so it keeps the place cleaner for longer.

Some mountains like Mt. Halcon is difficult. It might be sunny at its foothills, then surprise you with a heavy rain up there,hence,need a guide.

I came across for the first time your YT vlog ! And I’ve watched dozens of vloggers yours is more adventurous so much energy and showing natures beautiful and so much effort so I will tell you you are the closest band most interesting vlogger and furthermore I never seen one like you do doing it in one of the jungles in the Philippines! Very unique show for me ! Thank you handsome one! From 62 yrs old living in USA as a Filipina I can’t wait to at least do it in my province of Surigao ! You should go to Mahucdam. From highway starting town of Tubod that’s where you can start climbing and if I’m already there when you get there there’s more to climb.

Thats alright. I know Finn Snow and his adventures too-and they’re a whole different level. Im referring to this guy’s stamina and motivation. Biking all the way to the mountain and they climbing right after? I havent seen any vlogger go for it the way he does
"brutally steep" is the exact words to describe it.. 😆 been there a month ago along with my friends. It's very challenging climb but worth it♥️

Wow traveling by bike. Cool. Such a beautiful sight. Mt. Bulusan hike was so far the most difficult for me. 1565 AMSL 7 hours hiking to the campsite, then another 4 hours on the next day to crater. About two hours of which was kiss the wall style, and mostly rappelling on the way down. What really cringes me, 7 days after Mt. Bulusan had its first phreatic eruption and it is still active up to now. We camped near that vent that exploded. God is good and we had an experience of a lifetime. Stay safe!
