Since making this video, people pointed out openai playground and now I’m using that 🤣
GPT4ALL, locally hosted ai chatbot where you can choose which model to run it with. Works great, assuming you have a decent GPU to accelerate it.

That looks interesting. I'm using LobeChat, which can also be run locally via Docker and supports other AIs, plugins, and agents (custom GPTs).
I have a workflow where the agent helps me with MidJourney prompt crafting and then executes it through the MidJurney proxy. It is a little bit hacky, but what else can you do without an official MidJourney API (LobeChat can do Dall-e images out of the box but the MidJourney one looks significantly better).

When I try to add api key to chatpad, it says "You exceeded your current quota, please check your plan and billing details.". Should we add a minimum of 5 $ credit to my openai account to use API Key in services like Chatpad? I thought it should be free to use GPT 3.5.
no it uses your api key, and that costs money
If it is uses got 3.5 key, why it is calculating tokens? I am using a free subscription...

Just last week tried Chatpad out. It's not been updated for awhile and because of that the codename for GPT4 model they have is not the latest and greatest one, keep that in mind. (You could mount your own config, but then it's considered gpt3 family in the interface... Flakey)

You could directly use OpenAI's playground too. It's basically the same thing with even more parameters. Our company is using this to give every employees access to GPT4 since there's no ChatGPT enterprise licence freely available.

@@mikopiko Nope, you'll have to pay either way. The difference with ChatGPT Plus is that with the API, you pay as you go.

You said it yourself. Because you're just using your api key instead and paying that way
It's not free, since you are using your own API key and this app is just an interface.
Its not free, you are charged via the Api key used. You will find the total payment in the openAI interface

Basically it changes your billing model. Instead of fixed $20 per month you get charged based on usage

Is that basically the same thing as this but built by OpenAI?
1) limits you to 4000 tokens including your prompt 2) doesn't save your chat history
I thibk if you're chatting a lot ysing their api maybe be even more costly then just purchasing chat subscription
you would have to have chats that amount to damn near an entire novel to reach that price
