I remember watching this video maybe in 92 or 93 on a program called Furia Metal MTV, a kind of Headbanger Ball here in Brazil in the '90s. This song doesn't age. 🤘
Furthermore, D.R.I. and bands like Corrosion of Conformity and Sepultura broke apart all my preconceived notions about metal. This was the era in which I discovered that metal bands, for the most part, had some very deep and important messages in their music.
DRI is fucking cool! Suit and Tie Guy bought me completely back in the 80's watching Headbanger's Ball. I was like, "WTF is THIS?!" amidst all the Motley Crue, Poison, Dokken and Ratt shit!
WOOHOO love this song. Saw them when they toured this album with Exodus and Body Count. Was also stoked to hear them play this when they came to Toronto last year.
Still have my long sleeve tour shirt from the Toronto Definition show (where I broke my collarbone on one of those steel barricades; stage diving at its best!)
Woah fuck yeah DRI!!!! Seeing them in September for the 30th time one of my favorite bands. Me and a buddy went to every north American show on the Crossover tour
These guys are old hardcore punk from the late 80s,90s and are a lot more punk but fast back then this is more NYC mosh metal like SOD,Anthrax ect.I like the part we who watch the waters of the world, turn to lakes of lava, killing every from of life, will they have regrets of being born at all into a world acid rain can fall.acid rain chiseling away the monuments of man ,run for your lives.I recommend "dealing with it" nursing home blues or the whole album.Do you remember Exodus first album bonded by blood?with the original singer.other DRI Crossover,4 of a kind, other HC punk from the same time .The accused, more fun than open casket,Nuclear Assault Game over,Cro-mags are of quarrel,S.O.D of course are the kings of mosh, lead singer threw me off stage woke up in the lobby of the trick with my 1st concussion.I'm surprised this guy can still yell this is on their 6 or 7th album
Ahhh this is amazing! I haven't heard this song in years. Still love it to this day. I thought the video was incredible for its time, very memorable. My first introduction to D.R.I. as well.
Together with "Suicidal Tendencies" these guys pioneered crossover thrash, which you probably already knew as you have reacted to ST's "How Will I Laugh Tomorrow".
This reminds me of Me when I introduced my Daughter to DRI. Loved this reaction. Please do more DRI and Fear and Nuclear Assault - New Song (In Particular). Keep Kicking Ass! Peace!
Love the Vid Dudes. DRI is perhaps the best crossover band EVER! If the shirt that guy was wearing lasted THAT LONG then that's a good quality shirt. If you see him ask him what brand it is. Or if you wanna piss him off just grab his beer from him and run away FAST! 🤣🤣
That's what i miss bands nowadays the guitar is so damned clean i loved the way guitars sounded back in the day the dirty distorted sound. Listen to Metallica nowadays and listen to the older stuff and tell me that you can't hear a major difference.
I agree...I loved that distortion and how dirty it sounded. Now everything is super clean and filtered it takes a bit away from the purity and rawness of the music.
Some will call this crossover thrash or thrash, but listen to dirty rotten l.p. Or dealing with it and even crossover you can still hear the punk it fades out of the punk sound as they put out more albums.
First song I ever heard from them was suit and tie guy they put out five very good albums the ones before them just didn't have good sound quality not till crossover and four of a kind did they inject thrash into there music before those albums they were straight up punk band in the sound quality on those early records was terrible then thrash zone came out and that's exactly what they turned into a straight-up thrash band with punk-style singing a base playing but a lot more thrashier and the songs got longer definition and full speed ahead had the same style as thrash zone their last five albums for the best and some of my favorite music of all time still listen to them to this day never gets old

DRI is the whole package, don't forget the drums and bass
Furthermore, D.R.I. and bands like Corrosion of Conformity and Sepultura broke apart all my preconceived notions about metal. This was the era in which I discovered that metal bands, for the most part, had some very deep and important messages in their music.
Can't forget about Cryptic Slaughter!!!
DRI will always be RELEVANT!!!

Speaking of Acid Reign. How about reacting the band Acid Reign and their cover of Blondie's Hanging on the telephone :D
How about DRI's Thrashard or Suit Tie Guy, come on you can do it
First song I ever heard from them was suit and tie guy they put out five very good albums the ones before them just didn't have good sound quality not till crossover and four of a kind did they inject thrash into there music before those albums they were straight up punk band in the sound quality on those early records was terrible then thrash zone came out and that's exactly what they turned into a straight-up thrash band with punk-style singing a base playing but a lot more thrashier and the songs got longer definition and full speed ahead had the same style as thrash zone their last five albums for the best and some of my favorite music of all time still listen to them to this day never gets old
