Campuomu the most beautiful road in the world

Questo video riguarda una strada eccezionale che si trova in Sardegna tra la località di San Priamo e Cagliari. Questo pezzo di strada lungo circa 25 km ha una densità di curve incredibile inerpicandosi in mezzo ad un canyon roccioso che ricorda i più famigerati canyon americani. Lungo la strada a valle scorre il rio campuomu che d'inverno é ricco di acqua e di estate offre dei cenote naturali dove é anche possibile balnerare con le dovute precauzioni.
La strada oggi é molto deserta a causa della costruzione della nuova statale che ha permesso di tagliare questo pezzo di curve con un percorso più diretto verso la città di Cagliari. La strada ha un asfalo quasi perfetto ma le pendenza delle curve é molto insidiosa e richiede una guida attenta e scrupolosa .Lungo la strada sono presente alcune piazzole dove é possibile ammirare lo splendido panorama. Allo svincolo per la piccola cittadina di Burceu é possibile, girando a sinistra, avviarsi verso il parco dei sette fratelli un oasi naturali dove i profumi della menta e del mirto si mischiano in un tuttuno idilliaco e gli animali circolano allo stato brado. Le varie strade all'interno del parco si snodano in paesaggi immensamente straordinari. La strada principale (tenendosi sempre sulla destra a tutti gli svincoli) riporta verso Cagliari. Tenendosi sulla sinistra invece si percorre una strada sempre più stretta che termina in un letto di un piccolo fiume ma non si può percorrere perché interrotta (il ponte é crollato).

This video is about an amazing road located in Sardinia between the town of San Priamo and Cagliari. This 25km long stretch has an incredible density of curves as it climbs through a rocky canyon reminiscent of the most famous American canyons. Along the road to the valley flows the Rio Campuomu which in winter is rich in water and in summer offers natural cenote where it is also possible to swim with the necessary precautions.
The road today is very deserted due to the construction of the new state road which allowed to cut this piece of curves with a more direct route towards the city of Cagliari. The road has an almost perfect asphalt but the slope of the curves is very tricky and requires careful and scrupulous driving. Along the road, there are some pitches where you can admire the wonderful landscape. At the junction for the small town of Burceu it is possible, by turning on the left, to go towards the park of the 7 brothers, a natural oasis where the scents of mint and myrtle mix in an idyllic whole and the animals circulate in the wild. The various streets within the park wind their way through immensely extraordinary landscapes. The main road (always keeping to the right at all junctions) leads back to Cagliari. Keeping to the left, on the other hand, you follow an increasingly narrow road that ends in a bed of a small river but you cannot go along because it is interrupted (the bridge has collapsed).
