Probably because it was Katara Vala. That costume appeared in the rotating shop not too long ago. Not sure if the developers would bring that back to the shop.

I really don’t think Rain is going to get any of his old costumes because he is totally different than what he used to be, having a classic ninja skin with a water ball staff is weird.
Ideally, I would've preferred if the Klassic skins this time around were mostly just 3D era centric, especially since early leaks showed the UMK3 Scorpion was meant for the Kameo, not the playable one. It would've been better having Armageddon Scorpion instead due to it being an evolution of the UMK3 design but far better. Especially as you said, some alt skins just represent older ones. All of Reptile's skins seem to represent different versions of him, Union of Light being clearly UMK3 inspired while Order of Darkness is 3D era styled. Anyways for Raiden, I'd love to see Klassic Dark Raiden from either Deception-Armageddon or MK9, such a great design. Of course still waiting on that Cyber Smoke!!! (Hey, maybe we'll get Cyber Sub-Zero too.). Still disappointed Deadly Alliance Shang Tsung's agemorph wasn't changed, it would've been neat to have that skin be a 2 in 1 deal with the the older Shang being either his 3D era alt or just Arcade Klassic Old Shang.
DLC for a game sorely lacking in content is beyond miserable especially when realizing that the base game is 90 Canadian (70 usd) as opposed to 80 Canadian (60 usd). It gets even worse knowing that the developers were planing the drip feeding of this dlc from the very beginning instead of delaying the game and working these characters and costumes into the base game. That’s why I still believe re4 and cyberpunk 2077 are perfect examples of dlc done right. They both give you everything you need, and only after a period of time then they give you a big chunk of content ( separate ways for re4 and phantom liberty). Characters being locked out just feels scummy. As the great thatboyaqua once said” having Gorro be trapped a 5 dollar paywall is just wrong”
I have to disagree with your favorite Mileena skin. I may be biased as I started playing MK with MK9, but the Flesh Pits skin is my favorite. Just something about it, but I dunno what...
Mileena and Kitana are not gettin those skins. NRS strayed away from the “fan service”. I’m surprised Sindels deception skin shows that much of her legs 🙁
The fact that Kung Lao's deadly alliance skin hasn't been given to him at all is shocking to me. Mk 11 and X would have been the best time to give it to him, I'm actually kind of annoyed with why they keep giving him the MK3 one, its so ugly. Same with the classic female ninja skins, so far all 3 NRS games have given them over, but they never touch the 3D era ones.
They really need to stop calling them Retro skins when you alter half the outfit for the sake of political correctness. At that point, its a new skin. We want those skins because we want to see Nitara's thighs, or Mileena half naked.
