Pro-Tip... Tilt the dishwasher backwards to unscrew the junction box screw before you connect the water... That only took me an hour to figure out lol

I have no idea why LG tightens that junction box screw so tight when they know you have to un screw it to do the wiring. Smh
I had to tilt back, hit the screw with silicone spray, and go at it with a screwdriver on the head and pliers on the shaft.
The screw for the Junction Box is hella tight :(

If your power cord is behind the dishwasher, You will need a 90° plug ... and the wire should be 14 gauge wire with ground wire. 14 gauge. Not 16 gauge like in the Manual... But other than that, great video. Ps. If you bought it at Best Buy. You'll have to buy all the parts yourself, even if you have it installed by them. Parts $100.

BUYER BEWARE -- After 1.5 year, Dishwasher control panel fails and you WILL have a $800 rock.
It WILL start bugging out, goes blank, and does not finishing washing cycle. Or sometimes the lights just go on a fritz before it dies for the day. I saw many reviews stating the same issue.
LG is clever though!! LG says their warranty is only 1 year -- so because I'm over by 4 months, they will not pay for labor on the warranty.
My dishwasher was $800 and the labor to repair will be $650 because it's "outside the 1 year labor" by 4 months.
I also had to call LG twice to even talk to anyone. The first time I called LG customer service, the LG rep FELL ASLEEP during the call. This is LG customer service experience that you can expect if you buy LG.
I bet if I opened up this dishwasher, it will be cheaply-glued with poor parts inside.

4:14 There is no way that small screw is going into the side of the cabinet. You made your dishwashers so they are 1/2 of an inch smaller then the space so you have 1/4 on both sides of a typical opening. Does anyone at LG even install these things?

I thought it was my cabinets... I had to get longer screws to side mount it.
Shouldn't the drain hose be elevated higher than the garbage disposal to prevent water/waste from flowing back?

Show us how loud it is when you close the door to the unit. Why pay extra for a 42 db unit only to have the door closure loud enough to wake the dead?

I could not read the manual that came with my new dishwasher because the font was too small. so i watched this video instead. from the video i assumed that the leveling screw mentioned for the back feet was in the back of the unit. that did not make any sense. then i found the manual online where i could read that the leveling screw was in the front. now i get it. this video is helpful but incomplete. in any event i now know how to level my dishwasher. if anyone has trouble be sure to read the manual. life's good.

I feel like I need to move the drain hose around because the depth of my kitchen cabinet is 24 inches and this is just about 24 inches too. Anyone having the issue where the dishwasher is sticking out?

Once you screw in side mount screws the plastic cap does not go back bc the screw takes the place.

what size if the water supply line? Is it NPT threads? R&R old unit with 3/4" hose coupling. Using 3/8" polypropolene "push-on-connector - John Guest. Don't have or see a fitting other that will match a push-on-connector adapter. What next?

@@LGUSASupport Thanks for reaching out on a follow-up. The machine was installed last Saturday. All the fittings matched. For some reason, nothing is drying. Have run 2 cycles and everything in the dishwater is still soaking wet. Have not used "jet-dry' or similar yet, and no water in bottom of the tub. Very strange. Ideas?

my dishwasher sits level from top and from inside wall, exactly as shown in the video, but not quite level from the back inside wall of the tub.... as long as it's leveled by what's shown in the video, is that ok? I'm assuming the back wall might be slightly curved by design?

of course you wouldn't know each jurisdiction in Canada and USA but what are the legalities for installing ones own DW? Is a building permit needed and what is the liability for installing ones own in a Strata lot or insurance rules if a DW fails because of incorrect installation?
Mine has a bunch of hoses on the left side preventing me from sliding it back in. HELP!!
Do you have to remove the back black shipping cover? I connected my dishwasher and followed the video but the machine just doesn’t fill or start. I have power and can set the delay start and all that stuff. What gives? It’s leveled. No kinks. Very frustrating.

There isn't enough info on the drain hose. What if you are NOT connecting to a Garbage Disposal? What is you have o choice but to connect to the sewer line or an existing drain hose already in the wall?

Does this dishwasher need to be connected to a garbage disposal. Also can the dishwasher drain conenct directly to an air gap wich then goes into the garbage disposal?

What if our power line doesn’t have a green wire, I have black, white and a copper line
Hi Dylan! The three wires are a hot wire, which should be black or sometimes red; a neutral wire, which should be white; and a ground wire, which should be green or bare. ^Danee
Your "copper line" is the green ground wire.
What if I don't have a garbage disposal? What are my options?
Then you buy a slip joint tailpiece. Costs about $5-$7 for a plastic one.
connection under the washer, particularly electrical connection is unnecessarily difficult. LG needs to find a better way to make that easier.

They changed the name on this black part to say REMOVABLE instead of REMOVE. 1:08 Guess what? I didn't remove it and now it is in the way. Why did you change the wording? Nothing is gained by leaving that part attached.

you can't Check your floor level. It doesn't need to be perfect. You will know if your floor is way out

Why doesnt the LG units come with the water supply line hose and electrical plug? You guys are truly cheaping out. Now I have to go home depot and buy extra parts.
None come with those parts and haven't for decades. Your sales person or website should have recommended that to you
You didn't even cover how to install the bracket using the side mount technique. I have stone counter tops, can mount the brackets there. must be mounted on the side! where is that video? typical LG!

This LG Dishwasher is a NIGHTMARE to install. Just got a top of the line model from LG. Not install friendly at all. I have rental properties and have installed many. Try to figure out the insulation in the front......forget it! Buy another brand.
